  1. Who wants a veteran roleplayer in their ranks who would create RP for others as a support role (no leadership please, no leading families/houses/clans).

  2. You know how to put respect on names. I appreciate you my guy. Aegis-era shoutout goes to Ser Braxis Silverblade & the chad that Burkester played who gave me a hard time clapping Galahar's cheeks.
  3. @Ada, what forms of roleplay or genres of fiction are you interested in? This will guide what advice I can give you.
  4. I think everyone should give a round of applause to all those who've volunteered time & effort into this upcoming map because it is insanely gorgeous. Whatever little means I have to contribute, I'd be more than happy to. PS: I'm dreaming of Thunder Bluff with that dope looking mesa biome.
  5. Conflating all genres & formats of video games is disingenuous from the jump. Lord of the Craft is a multiplayer roleplaying server where generally it is understood that all players have the potential to impact one another's storyline in as much as said players come into contact with one another. You are setting up realism as a red herring to avoid coming to grips with the fact that you are opting to log into a multiplayer roleplaying server. If you prefer to have sole & full control over the narrative of your character's story, you'd be better off playing a single player roleplaying video game. Let me know if you want to engage seriously on this topic and I'd be more than happy to give a fuller response. PS: I'm respectfully not addressing the elephant in the room out of respect for you. Up to you if you want to address it, but if you don't, then I'm content to stay away from it too.

And for sure Gaius. She is probably in a better position than us now LOL. There is nothing wrong with Cnor's dissolvience, it's better like this if anything. Less stress for them. That's how I see it anyhow

The most prominent symbol, that of a stout mudbrick pyramid with Hobgoblins marching in a line in circumambulation, had just finished drying beneath words drawn in a flowing script. “Layaali balaa nawm” “Nights without Sleep” “Is that what latz have felt since Grommash's death?” “It is cousin, since taking my Grizhvow” “Will tonight sate and fulfill it?” “No, but it will reach its fever pitch” Zilzibin took up the standard and propped it against his shoulder. They stepped outside of the Taunttongue estate to join ranks with the rest of the Krughai as they marched north. It will reach its fever pitch. Zilzibin snapped out of his recollection, his eyes looked back down into the pit. The Hyspians therein shrank away, some recognizing him then as he placed his skull-mask back on over his face. Beneath the sun-bleached yellow of the prairie dulk's skull, two eyes looked like drops of mercury heavy & hateful. He spied a daughter of a family who confessed then that her head of the household, rather than respond to his offer, took it then to the Queen of Hyspia. “You will regret the day your mother gave birth to you for the foolish act she took”
  12. I genuinely thank you for editing your comment. Won't speak on what it had before because I can tell you changed your mind to reflect the higher standards. I am also under no illusion that there aren't any "toxic" players. However, I think the better method of rooting them out is by encouraging leaders & veteran roleplayers into sitting said specific individuals down & reprimanding them rather than the 'shoot from the hip vagueposting'. That last sentence is not directed at you as a rebuttal, but a general word of advice to everyone including myself.
  13. I appreciate the admission and none of us are perfect. I've no doubt slipped in my long time playing LotC tbh especially in my younger years. Also, I want to be clear in general. This thread is not me expecting anyone to "confess" to doing any of these nor a sneak diss or a sneak recruitment strategy. This is just an encouragement to raise the bar and to encourage especially leaders/established vets to raise the standards in whatever groups they find themselves in.
  14. Some banter to lighten the mood before reading, chill & don't come at me. For context, a recent conversation I had with a player. I will redact the player's name from the copied logs, but will state plainly that they are on the Covenant side of this current war & I on the Church side of this current war (I play a character established in Krugistan - my Discord is IbnKhaldun). I have noticed a bad trend recently and I am calling on both sides to help police this & raise standards. This trend is the psychologizing of what is essentially gameplay/roleplay whereby leaders and/or certain individuals among player-groups are whipping up mass hysteria among the player-groups themselves into believing the most trifling, unreasonable, & harsh opinions about those on the other side (either other player-groups or certain individuals - refer to the Yeetboy situation for an example of the latter). Before someone claims that "I'm not doing my part", I'll redirect you into reading the conversation in the spoiler above. I am doing my part. We need to remember that we play a multiplayer roleplaying server and that, by its nature, many hands are in the pot so to speak. Everyone gives inputs whether to the server-side story or in affecting individual storylines of characters and that the trend of claiming Person X is bad-faith is simply ignoring that reality of our multiplayer roleplaying server, that the trend of claiming Person Y is desperate & grasping for straws because they are losing is engaging too much in an OOC meta-narrative whereby we should only be focusing on our characters, their actions, & the consequences rather than peeking over the next computer screen and mocking the player next to you figuratively, that the trend of claiming Playergroup Z is the devil incarnate and that to jump sides, go neutral, or do anything besides surrendering to some weird OOC hive-mind is ludicrous and I would recommend you take a long break from the server. Most of all, do not impart your unhinged & strange pathology of how serious you take this server onto the regular players. To use some urban slang, sending the regular players on crash out missions is wrong. Bullying pink-tags & new players is wrong. Denying the reality that this is a multiplayer roleplaying server and not a single-player Second Life game where only you & you alone get to curate every detail down to the consequences, results, & outcomes is wrong. Mistreating players (players, not characters mind you. Remember not to mix your IC & OOC cables you dig? Just because my character killed your character in Encounter A does not mean I am mistreating you the player.) is wrong.
  15. My recommendations based on this are the following: 1. Any neutral land which, at this time, appears to only be the Vale. 2. You have a solid reason for avoiding the lands of the Church, but also keep in mind that on both sides of the current war are the following Canonist nations: Haense, Pontifical States, Reinmar, Ravenmire, Hyspia, Petra, Numendil, & Balian. To be completely neutral to this, there may be certain Canonist nations that may have become more liberal in view of other religions but I'm going to avoid trying to identify them. 3. You can join a Kingdom/Nation that is non-Canonist but is still engaged in the war. These include: Norland, Urguan, Krugistan, Celia'nor, Hae'lunor, Caurost, & Koyo-Kuni.
  16. What sort of roleplay themes are you looking to engage in as that would guide sound advice & recommendations to who to check out.
  17. I will write more on this matter tomorrow as I don't want what is a serious topic to be caught up in the "April Fools" banter. Message me on Discord if you want to chat and I'll be more than happy to give you some sound advice as an older player.

His eyes counted the stones Zilzibin cobbled together in an outline around his hips & folded legs where he sat. His forehead creased with concern as Zilzibin began to build small slopes out of the stones he stacked to rest against his chest & shoulders. His head felt heavy as someone struck him beneath his ear, teetering drunkenly with vertigo. The double & triple dopplegangers of the dancing Hobgoblin taunted the soldier as his head spun. The dervish-like trance of Zilzibin grew in feverish rhythm where it mesmerized the soldier who began to stare in a catatonic state as if administered a wine too strong & overwhelming. His eyes looked glassy as Zilzibin stared into them in between pauses to his swaying & spinning, daring the soldier to raise complaint or cry out in defiance. Rotmendur'Kur & Ghoraza joined Zilzibin now as they stamped their feet and called out for those tools which they had become comfortable being afforded by the spirits. Traces of salt, soda ash, & natron skittered along the floor at the base of the entombed soldier. Each particle seemed to jump with an instigated excitement like that of iron shavings made to vibrate by a magnet. Slowly, slowly, the salt & natron pooled against the feet, buttocks, & hips of the soldier in his struck stupor. As the particles washed up against the entombed body, it sapped what little moisture was aloft in the air and trapped in the clothes. As the particles met skin, the skin turned wafer-thin and taut against whatever bones laid beneath it. The soldier woke from his stupor, his eyes darting down to watch the tide of soda ash breaking against his body. He looked up to find the shamans violently dancing & cajoling forth Bregthar's device against him. His mouth had barely opened before the natron caught the low, wincing scream that he was about to call out with. Within seconds, the soldier sat stone-still and silenced with salt & soda ash. His body tensed in calcified rigor mortis and his skin ran bone-dry & parched of all water. A scaly grey-brown hue replaced the healthy pink and the skeleton that held him altogether looked more pronounced then. The pink that had previously colored his skin colored puddles of sweat & water that had pooled at the base of his feet & bottom. Zilzibin slowed his dance, his own body swaying more from fatigue than fury then. He looked upon his foe and took heart in what his exertion had resulted in. He turned then to the other two shaman who had assisted him in his ritual. “Brothers, my Grizhvow remains unfinished & unsated” “The blood of Grommash's killers will run dry & be dissipated” “I will cast them in an obelisk of salt & soda ash” “I will entomb the King of Hyspia & his deceitful hand azh” “I will slay an entire generation of their adults” “I will raise their children beneath the obelisk like colts” “They will grow into horses well-trained & defer to my hand”
