Do you understand and accept that the Kharajyr application team may revoke this application in the future if they deem it necessary?: Yup! Do you agree to both follow and uphold Kharajyr lore throughout your time in the Kharajyr?: Yup. Tell us one unique fact about Kharajyr lore, culture or history that you know.(We will check for plagiarism!): Kharajyr’ History – The Kharajyr’ were invaded by the Orcs in Early-Mid Azulon. Kharajyr’ Lore – The Kharajyr’ call Humans, Orcs, Dwarves and Elves ‘Apes’ as a collective group. IC Information RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix): T’Kaen (The ‘T’ is not a prefix, it is a part of his actual name.) As of now, until T’Kaen passes his trials, he has no prefix. Character Sub-race: T’Kaen is a melanistic Kha’Cheetrah. Character appearance (Including age and gender): T’Kaen is a year old new-born kitten, with a thin frame and yellow eyes. What is the personality of your character like?: As of the moment, T’Kaen is incredibly shy. The natural instinct of sticking close to his mother controlling almost all of his day-to-day actions. This does not however deter the curiosity, which lurks in this incredibly young kittens mind. Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings) T’Kaen is the son of Sa’Jujan and Do’Tarkin. His siblings, are Karath, and Killian, who is his twin sister. Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr: To play, eat, poop and all around be the best kitten he can be! In terms of eating, pooping and playing that is… Character’s strengths/weaknesses: As of the moment, T’Kaen’s many weakness is that of him being a kitten. He’s vulnerable to the world and relies entirely upon his mother to feed him and generally take care of him. Please provide a screenshot or 3D render of your character’s skin: I can show you the skin through Skype, should you need to! (But it was made by Kim, so it's gonna be awesome! :P) Situational Role-play Questions 1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armored humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you... How does your character react? The sun sets over the Malinorian crossroads, as T’Kaen heaves the five rabbit carcasses over his shoulder, smiling at the day’s catch and the prospect of a warm supper. He lets out a loud chuckle, spinning on his heel as he begins down the road a little faster, smiling to himself. He stops when the three men jump from the tree line, swords drawn as the eye his catch with eager eyes. “Hand it over, y’ are nae allowed to hunt these rabbits in our lords land.” T’Kaen’s grip hardens around the rope, latching the five rabbits together. “Natu’awr iss’a nawt th’ propawrty auv apes.. Awnd I’a would like tu see met’awl ape cawtch me!” He says, chuckling as he drops to all fours in a quick heel spin, and begins to bolt in the opposite direction to the armored men. Circling round a different route. 2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr. How does your character react? As T’Kaen moves up the steps of the temple, his hands carrying a small ruby tightly in his grip, his ears snap to attention. “Clack!” There it was again, coming from the temple summit. T’Kaen quickens his pace, slowing as he reaches the summit and turns the corner. His eyes rest upon the small Kha’Pantera before him as he chisels away at the lapis gemstones upon the alter. He grumbles beneath his breath, turning as he quietly makes his way back down the steps, heading to find a Dra’. 3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you. How does your character react? T’Ken sneers at the little imp as he moves down the steps, carrying a small sack of potatoes he purchased from the monks. “Metz’awli,we’awl send yu tu speciawl place een thu nethawr, imp.” He murmurs, continuing down the steps with some haste, before the dwarf moves out into the path, blocking T’Kaen. His claws unfurl from T’Kaen’s pads, letting out a snarl to the Dwarf beneath him, watching as the Dwarf shifts backwards a step, before huffing and making his way to the side again. Though not before making a snarky face at the Kha’, as he makes his way toward the Malinorian Docks. 4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed. How does your character react? T'Kaen rushes through the smoke ridden air, his lungs gasping as he slowly chokes amidst the chaos of it all. He rounds the corner... It's always been his upside, knowing his way around the jungle and soon he arrives at the entrance to the temple, heaving himself from step to step in a frantic rush. He storms through the door, rounding the corner into the throne room of the Tlatlanni', where he finds his father trapped under a wooden beam, with the Tla's daughter grasping onto his arm, screaming and cowering into his fur. He kneels by his father's side, resting both paws on the wooden beam as he tries to heave it off, with little to show for it. "Take her!" His father murmurs, his paw resting on the frightened child, as he grabs his son's paw with his. "She ees'a too you'awng tu see ou'awr mother yet... GO!" T'Kaen reaches down, pulling the cub from his father's arm, holding her against his chest as he turns to his father for the last time, before moving for the exit with haste.

A Kharajyrian Note, Lays Across Various Noticeboards
THUNDER37 replied to THUNDER37's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
((If you would care to meet me at the Kharajyr' docks, at 10PM this evening for GMT+0, i'll do the trade with you.)) -
And yet I believe you should jump into a hole and burry yourself, for the good of humanity. But, as we aren't here to discuss your mental capacity, I do believe that this thread is unecessary. It's being discussed in the Kha' chat and here it's only opening up comments like this... 'Person's' if we can call him/her that. Leave it to our skype chat, and let's leave it at that shall we? ^_^

-As you walk, through the varied lands of the apes you see a large boldly written parchment nailed into the wooden noticeboard. It appears relatively new, barely a few days old, as the edges of the parchment are only a tad worn- "S'Kianie, of Karakatua is in need of many sacks of wool, of assorted colors. I am willing to pay 1,500 minas for ten stacks of wool. 5x Red wool 5x light blue wool Or, 1,200 minas for ten stacks of white wool. If you are available to sell these items to Kianie, I am available for the trade at the Karakatuan docks whenever one should wish." ((If you are available for the trade, I can arrange a time in which we are both online and meet at the Karakatuan docks. I am British though, and at college.. So super late American times aren't great for me. (GMT+0) ))

[Official] Kharajyr question and answer thread.
THUNDER37 replied to Wretched's topic in Athera Roleplay Archive
"-Be a child" - currently, to RolePlay as a kitten you must have been born via an IC family. One that currently exists within the Kharajyr' and is having kittens as part of their RolePlay. "-Be 'owned by another race" - Currently, all kittens, cubs and young Kharajyr' are born on the island. There are no ape-Kha' couples to my knowledge who have had children and therefore you would not have had any real 'alone' contact with the mainland until you were atleast a young adult. Meaning, you would not be able to be 'owned' by an ape family. "-Speak almost clearly, but not perfect" - The Kharajyr', as a part of our Lore have barbed tongues. This in essence works the same way as tusks work for Orcs in giving them their distinct accent. One would, having spent enough time around apes be able to mimic such a human'esque accent, but only after possibly years of IC practise. "-Have little to no religious roleplay" - The Kharajyr' who are born onto the island, are taught from a young age about Metztli, our godess and the belief system a Kharajyr' should uphold. To not have any roleplay oriented around such a large part of Kharakyr' lore and history would be quite a large miss from what a Kharajyr' actually is to the core and the roleplay we can present. -
I feel as-though we really need something alike the second like at the top... A banner of sorts which sits at the top of the forum page and give it some oomph.
-
Dalek, now you understand how we saw the world when PVP supporters were saying combat RolePlay was driving LoTC into the ground.
-
Well, that's me never fighting again.
-
Alright, i'm personally not too into this but i'll give it a go never the less. Quick question though: Let's say hypothetically that i'm walking down a road and a bandit pops out, wanting to kill me and take my things. He wants to PVP. I want to RolePlay the situation. We're both adamant about our two sides of the road, and thus the conundrum... Does he have the right to force PVP onto me? Or may I simply say no and walk away from the situation to avoid further conflict both IC'ly and OOC'ly between us?

-Vhaer steps into Malinor, carrying a few books in his arms as he listens to Khel for a brief moment, before shouting on his way to his home- "Take down that ugly tent and stop cutting down elder trees, would be a start!"

[Ooc] Kharajyr: Split, Stay, Or Sanction?
THUNDER37 replied to cj_scout's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
Alrighty, I sorta feel I can post here as at one point I was a Kha'. If you feel my opinions aren't warranted, feel free to shoot me a PM and i'll speak about it with you there. Do not simply remove my post, or i'll not be mightily amused. The main issue here, which has been presented for god-knows how long in the Kharajyr' is the fact that "I can't find RolePlay!" "RolePlay never appears before my face! I have to go looking for it! D:" The simple fact of this is... No where on Anthos, will RolePlay simply smack you in the face like a wet towel and go "Hey! Lookie, I am here!" You have to make a rampant effort and look for it... I can tell you, that i've walked around Anthos for a good thirty minutes to an hour looking for some worth while RolePlay and some days I can't even find it because I live in the dreaded 'GMT DeathZone' where RolePlay is 'nonexistant'. If you want a centre of RolePlay.. Sit at the tavern (Or wherever), waiting for someone to drop by. I did it in Malinor, when I would sit at the main entrance and speak to people as they passed by. Someone would eventually sit, then more people would sit and we'd tell tales, sing, drink, eat and RolePlay to our hearts content for hours. If you want a more centralised RolePlay event etc... On the island, make an event for an evening! I remember when Benboboy set up his little Kharajyrian classes on the island and everyone would learn the native language or other such things. I was never there, but I thought that was brilliant and I heard nothing but good responses to it. To cut a long post short: Running away from the island will not solve the issue of non-existant RolePlay. You have to hit the issue head on and make an effort to rectify it by creating the RolePlay. I managed to make a ten minute long RolePlay session on my Elf on the Kharajyr' island for heavens sake, it can't be too hard for you lot! -
Vhaer scans over the poster, focussing on a single word on each line as he reads "I believe he means 'sack' and not 'stack'. Easily rectifiable, i'm sure."
-
Vhaer stands before the piece of parchment, scanning along the various lines of text. He simply rolls his eyes, abruptly making his way in the opposite direction "And to think, I voted for us Mali'ker to stay within the Mali'ame's walls... How long before the blithering bafoons make 'war' on us. No better than the war mongering Humans who pester us." "Though even the humans don't attack there own kin in such a disgrace as our cousins do."

Minecraft Name: ((THUNDER37)) Skype Name (This may alternatively be PMed to be for privacy purposes): ((thunder37100)) Applicant Name: Vhaer Centrella Race and Age: I am of Mali'ker descent. What position are you applying for? (Librarian, Maven, Inventor, Analyst, Phrenal): Inventor. List any experience you have had with matters regarding that Department: Though I have not undertaken the work of an engineer for a long time, during the earlier life of Azulon I had found work as an engineers apprentice, working with basic redstone contraptions and undertaking lessons in blueprinting and designing from both an architectural and mechanical standpoint. Since our arrival in Anthos however, due to both financial and time restraints, I have for the most part until recently been unable to pursue this interest to anymore of a degree than a spare time hobby. Recently however, I have begun undertaking this interest of mine to a higher degree once more; and am willing to inject myself into your ministry in order to both further my knowledge and join a group of like-minded people in which to share my existing knowledge and learn from. Describe the reason for your interest in that position (>5 sentences): As stated above, my interest for this position comes from my interest for the topic at hand and the will to continue what begun many years ago. I cannot particularly write a large amount for this section, at it has both been stated above and there is not a large amount to tell other than what has been stated for my reasons. By applying, should you be accepted you are expected to utterly adhere to the Common Clauses. Do you understand this?: I both understand to its entirety and access the common clauses.

The Second Calling Of The Dark Elves
THUNDER37 replied to Swgrclan's topic in Anthos Roleplay Archive
"A fools peace... I guess I can be called an old fool then for dreaming such whimsical fantasies. However.. Do you believe it in best interest to build a giant fortress right next to the existing buildings within DarkHaven? And even this one here claims to want two of the monstrous things to scar the land." "It seems to me aswell, that you believe a fortress would do anything against the armies of Oren... Or the Orcs... Might I remind you that Oren's armies are atleast a hundred thousand men strong when combined. What are we? We are a footnote to the humans... We'd barely scratch their ranks before they massacred everyone within the town." "What would it be worth? Hmm... And you! Vhaer looks to Illsy directly now, a slightly displeasure adorning his face "What would cowering in that wooden city achieve? It's inhabitants cower in the trees or run for the hills when Oren comes marching... It's army barely rivals that of the Kharajyr, yet you would think siding with them would bring us anything but bad luck." "The Mali'ame push the humans to the edge all of the time... Almost beckoning war as-if it were a game to them. Then once they are beaten into the ground they simply continue to push buttons and twist knobs until they brings the same fate again. Personally, I do not want to reside within a place that could be stamped upon if Lenfarthing marched against it." -

Vhaer looks around the group with displeasure adorning his face, not at all appearing pleased with the words being thrown between Mali'ker "Fortress'... Mountain strongholds... Are we Mali or are we Dwarves? Or maybe Orcs from the southern most deserts... Or maybe we've just gone a tad insane in our absence from reality whilst tossing ideas around this ruin like they were mere fireflies." "I have seen DarkHaven with my own eyes... It is a beautiful place, in which we could live in peace... Raising livestock, growing crops, raising families for generations to come. In peace... Though, from listening to many of you the word 'peace' does not seem to ring much interest within your minds. Infact, i'd go so far as to say that many of you are preparing yourselves for war with the ideas of fortress' and fortifications which would otherwise ruin our beautiful landscape." "Ousanna... You are renowned for your combat skill.. Especially you, Khel. Tell me... Do you want children of the Mali'ker for generations to come to be fighting.. Or would you rather they be living in peace with their families. By all means.. Stockpile armaments and armour to your hearts content in your own little castaway rooms and I will happily fight beside you should anyone threaten our home... But do not throw a fortress of war into a paradise. Especially a paradise which has the potential to bring our race back together after so many years torn apart.." Vhaer stands back from the main group, once more allowing them to natter between themselves. -

Vhaer chuckles to himself briefly before raising his right hand, placing his left on his chest "I believe you have misunderstood to a degree, my reasoning for dwelling within Malinor.. You see, I do not perceive Malinor as a protective force. It's guard force is somewhat pitiful in regards of stopping fighting within the city.. No, I perceive Malinor as more of a... Cushion, of sorts. Oren has already formed a treaty with our cousins in which they will not be harmed.. Do keep in mind this treaty was made with the Elves of Leumaelin. If we were to move to DarkHaven, I do believe this treaty would be null and void to us.. Be it a loophole, exploitation by Oren or whatever... Were we to stay in Leumaelin however.. Should an attack arise, Oren would be forced to come to our aid and we would come under no harm." A broad smile, followed by another chuckle comes over him "A cheap way of ensuring safety for now, but nevertheless a necessary one I believe.. Though, should any family wish to rebuild DarkHaven to it's former glory and begin a'new there, I would not be opposed to it." "Oh.. And in regards to this chain metaphor.. We are a separate chain from the Mali'ame altogether.. Why not let them break their chain first before ours? No need to throw both chains into the mixture and come out with two shattered ends." -

Vhaer's gaze shifts to the newer Mali'ker, listening intently to what she has to say before he speaks "Yet this is one of many problems we would have to resolve, would it not. We Mali' have always strived for peace in a world full of war and destruction.. Something not commonly found amongst the mortal plains in which we reside. I believe our Mali' cousins, having so recently suffered such bloodshed have simply given up on attempting to resist against these forces..." Vhaer takes a moment to ponder his own thoughts, before continuing "Can we blame them for such actions? We are a fair race... We are one of the only races in Anthos who'm can say we have the potential to be at peace with our surroundings. I say that they 'lay down' not out of free will... But out of the necessity to be free to go about their every day lives without being harrassed and bantered by those who'm wish to crush free will." He sits back against one of the stone pillars within the ruin, allowing the crowd to natter and murmur between themselves for a short while -

Vhaer simply slumps back against one of the many stone pillars in the ruin. His gaze flitting between his Blabbering cousins who so eagerly dismiss one another with petty insults and idle threats. He suddenly clambers up from the stone, ushering his way to the centre where they so eagerly bicker. "Those of you who wish to continue bickering may aswell go back to your dwellings as of this moment... This meeting was not convened to throw petty insults and idle threats at each other as-if we were bickering Dwarves. Which I can most assuredly say, we are not." Vhaer scans around the small grouping closest to him, his lids narrowed before he begins to speak once more. "You have all missed an incredibly key piece of information, passed on by a fellow Mali'ker in your incessant whining.. The White Rose hold a huge portion of land around DarkHaven. If we were to move back there, do you think they would not attempt to interrupt our daily coming and goings at every available opportunity?" "But... I can already foresee your answer... 'We'll fight them then! Show them the true nature of Mali'ker strenght!'" He says, looking over the Khel and his family, then around the rest of the group "How did that work for our cousins? They tried to fight back against the pest which was the White Rose... Their city was almost set to ruin by Oren, had they not had mercy and spared their existence as an idle threat to the other races." "You believe they would take such pity on us? Do you?" "Do you believe Malinor.. Our cousins who'm we've been at peace with for so long would come to our aid against the biggest power Anthos has ever seen..." Vhaer sighs deeply, looking around the group "I understand that many of you want your own homes... Away from the less intelligent of our cousins. However right now I do not believe it is safe to do so. Our main choice at the moment is to create homes within Malinor itself and wait out the scurge which is Oren." "The war they are in... I have no doubts in my mind that the Dwarves are capable of winning it.. But only time will tell whether they will, or whether Oren will gain a new foothold in Anthos For now however, I am asking you to not bicker between ourselves.. Otherwise we are no better than the rambling Mali'ame which we are in such close proximity to." He takes a step back as he watches around him as the small clusters of his kin murmur and whisper among themselves, waiting for someone to answer. -
