  1. I wouldn't mind Native, if GM's flew around and spawned the armies of hell itself upon players. However PVP is a massive no.. We'll have mass armies of Orcs and Oren running around in groups of 10+ killing everything for the heck of it. Some of you may say its good RolePlay for Orcs to run around killing everything.. However I see no RolePlay in PVP. Feel free to spawn all hell on cities etc... Or spawn giants in the badlands, I'm all up for that.
  2. That still doesn't answer my question however. What is the point in PVP? You simply die, and walk away off to another days work.. No joy comes from it, no in depth roleplay just simple click and go. RolePlay, far surpasses PVP in combat. Sure, it takes longer.. I see no issue with that, its far more enjoyable if done fairly. The only thing I can think which would attract RP'ers to pvp is that of the items. Explain to me one thing, which would attract a player to PVP instead of RolePlay and I will gladly leave this and occupy myself elsewhere but I cannot fathom how someone would willingly go into PVP for the sole purpose of *click click click* without any reward from it. As I've said, i'm not an item w**** but items are the only fathomable sense for pvp Other than wars, which require it to run smoothly. (That is another story altogether.)
  3. If I might ask, if you have disabled item drops what would be the point in everyone pvp'ing? I'm not an item ***** but killing someone for items is the only fathomable reason I can come up with in relevence to PVP. RP killing, fair enough but pvp without items drops is simply a team deathmatch relative to call of duty in the middle of our map. I like the idea of the islands overall, but open pvp = NO!! Like many people have said, this is an RP server and as much as some of you like to PVP this will remain to be an RP server and not a pvp free for all. Even if said pvp is limited to the central island. I'd also like to know, if you enabled pvp on the central island.. Where would people spawn? Because I do not fancy spawning in and being pvp'ed straight after.
  4. Baelian sits atop Malinor's defensive walls, the loud chants of his kin eachoing over the landscape. "D' we never learn? Can we nae stop foightin'? Sometoimes a' think foightin's blended too much int'e our customs. A shame t' see our 'eritage blended int' nothin' but war an' death." Baelian puffs out a small cloud of smoke from his pipe, watching over the scorched land from his outlook. "Soon dey'll regret w'at t'ey're doin'.. Soon t'ey'll see t' bodies uv our kin lyin' dead an' mourn t'ey're actions."
  5. -Heads into Malinor to have a smoke and a chat. Meets Evark. Gets confronted by Evark and his beard set alight- What a wonderful day in the world of the Elves.

Oh. . . Sorry my internet/Minecrafted Derped and crashed. . . I'll try to see about getting on soon D:

  6. Good on you Elf terrorists, I like your style!

  7. Baelian shakes his head, looking around him at the various Dwarfs who now gather around the sign. "T'is true lads. We 'ave lost our way. But a' say nae in t'e ways of war, but in our ways of our 'eritage and culture. Look at our moines lads, a feckin' disgrace a' say! T'e sons of stone we are, an' we nae disgrace t'e stone wit' a moine like t'at! T'e Oren'ers will be dealth wit, whether by politics or by sword. It does nae matter. But what matters is t'at we do nae lose ourselves in t'is world an' conform t'e what Oren has stooped to!!" Baelian lowers his voice, heaving an iron shovel over his shoulder and stands back, watching the other Dwarfs around him.
  8. I would personally like to see the entirety of the IConomy plugin return, however with one tweak. The money loss of I believe 1/5th when you died, could we code this so it dropped a map with that one fifth attached and when you pick it up and right click it it goes into your money. It would give thieves something to work off of a dead body when they murder you and prevent people going "I ONLY HAVE ONE MINA!" Certainly would also allow you to go and recollect your lost booty if you were to die through mobs etc....
  9. Baelian spits out his ale as he watches Thorik give word of the recent alliance "T'e feck is dis?! We ally wit' our past enemies who 'ad slain our brothers in combat an' tried t'e kill us many'a toime over?! Dis is nay an alliance, its feckin' surrender!!" Baelian grumbles, watching around him as the other dwarfs natter amongst themselves

  11. Personally, i'd like to see the villagers ships re-appearing on the horizon on the north side of the island one day.. then we will all flee south to the ships. Possibly one of the ships is destroyed and the residents have to relocate to another one of the ships then we make our escape?
  12. Stick with this island, improve the events. T'is my opinion. Really, why do we need another island? This one is really nice! However, I believe the GM's should be adding a fear factor into the night. Possibly make a forest fire? A whord of mobs go and attack a village? Possibly the white roses base or the halfling village, or wherever gets attacked and they are forced to relocate to a better defended position. I honestly believe this island could work if the GM's pushed everyone together through events. Simply go into creative for an hour, spawn a load of mobs and with a few broadcasts you've started something fun for a village to defend itself. You don't need lore for it! Just the creative drive to go out there and drop hell on a few people. ((Also, if they ***** and whine do what ya did in the old days and tell them to "Cram a sock in it and carry on". If they bicker and whine about their village being burned down.. Well, they shouldn't have built soo far away from a safer capital where soldiers patrol.
  13. I would simply like to see more GM intervention. However, not in the shape of large scale events like it has been. Possibly, have GM's etc... go to small towns and settlements and unleash a torrent of mobs on them. Or even an earthquake. Secondly.. I'd like to see the island have set "Stereotypical" areas for each race. Dwarfs: A massive mountain, sorta like the volcano's size but a little wider and longer. (Not much bigger) Orcs: A desert, with a few small caverns etc... Elves: A deep forest with a range of hills nearby. Humans: A cardbord box. Or a large area of land with various tree'd areas and a few hills nearby. Everyone else, e.g. Kha' and the halflings can find their own area between these main races. Or possibly, if the GM team if feeling creative: Have numerous small islands outside of the main one and have each race land on a seperate on with the exception of maybe two who land together on the largest of the islands. Meaning each can create boats between but they can also have their own area without creating walls to box themselves in.
  14. Pvp, the bane of existance -_-

  15. One hour, till all hell breaks loose.. I can't wait :P

    1. MrSyth

      MrSyth

      Neither can I, my friend.

  16. The staff who partake in wars and events with siege engines I believe should take a look at the power behind them before 3.0, as many a time I've seen a cannon or something of the sort blow a clear hole through three metres of solid stone no issue, wheras in real life this just would not happen. Possibly nerf the fireballs you shoot or the explosives on the server, as a cannon, even a powerfull one would not be able to clear away a tonne of stone by itself in one shot.
  17. It might be nice if a small public farm with melons inside was placed near spawn. As in Azulon there was a farm just down the green road which was open to everyone, which may help in this circumstance to allow people to gather a little food before venturing off :) If this has been done already, then just ignore me, havn't been on the server at all and am simply working from what I've seen on this thread.
  18. Congratulations to the two new GM's, I hope you enjoy your time in your new position and don't mind being pelted by rocks :3 Seriously though, gratz. And Duusk, well i'm sure time will tell :)
  19. MC Username: THUNDER37 Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): S’Malakurna Character Skillset: Mala, above anything else holds being helpful and kind close to her heart, believing dearly that whatever you give, will be returned to you later in life. However, underlying this Mala has a deep sense of loyalty to her beliefs in Metztli, enforced by her parents teachings which means she will defend and protect them with her entirety. Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): Mala is a 17 year old female Kha’Tigrasi who has lapis blue eyes and white hair. Her fur is long and soft with deep reds, oranges and black striping throughout. She has pure white, hooked claws which she uses to great effect when climbing. Mala also being fairly young is still maturing, though both her height and muscular body are developing well. Personality: Still being fairly young, Mala relies heavily on compassion and love, sometimes craving acknowledgement for her achievements and on-goings. Mala also has a tendancy to be incredibly shy around new people who'm she meets, usually appearing as shy through the form of minor stutters and struggling to find a way with words. Mala however, when around non-Kharajyr can come off as a rather defensive individual, tending to stick to her guns rather than run away in fear. And when cornered, may lash out and attack her opponent. The only exception to this rule, is orcs where she would favour to run rather than try and attack them. Please include a short bio of your character's life: Mala’s life was what many Kharajyr, and even apes would consider normal to an extent. She lived in a den with her mother and father. However, being the only kitten of her litter which survived, Mala tended to gain a lot of love and affection from her parents during her early life, meaning that even now during young womanhood she has grown to almost crave affection and attention. Even though her personality did mean she was rather shy. Mala's shyness however did pay her one advantage in that she had grown to be quite an avid hunter.. Being trained by her father she had learned that being silent and paying attention to a situation sometimes had its advantages in comparison to rushing in. It was the dead of winter when Mala’s father died… A deepened fever, coupled with lack of food causing him to slowly fade during the night. Mala never left his side of course. The bond with her father strong and faithful to the end, when her father suddenly turned to her, his tone weak and his eyes drooping slowly. Mala wept as she watched her father passed before her, her body sprawled across his chest as she wept. It has been two years since that day and Mala still remembers her father. The loving man who helped her become the young women she is today… And for that, she has told herself she will keep her father proud of her… Seeking one day to serve Metztli as a priest and pray for her father’s safe deliverance in the after life. Character's ambitions: Mala simply wishes, like many others to raise a family of her own. To have a Metz'al to hold and cherish, along with a beautiful kitten to love and raise as her own. Mala, also wishes to one day become a priest to Metztli, helping to please the moon mother and her fellow Kharajyr. _---Situational Rp Questions---_ 1. As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?: Mala looks up at the ape, her ears perking as she listens to his plead for help, giving a light frown as she narrows her eyes. "Eef I help yu, weel yu le'awve awr land?" She gives a light smile as the ape nods, turning quickly and latching onto the vines of a jungle tree as she climbs up and onto a large branch. Mala siddenly jumps up, thumping down onto the branch as numerous cocoa beans and berries drop onto the floor below. A rather large cocoa bean thumping the ape on the head as Mala giggles, shouting down. "The'awr.. that'a should last yu! Naw, get awt uff'a the jungawl befawr I call thu Do'." Mala latches her claws back into vines as she climbs down, seeing the ape gethering handfulls of berries and cocoa beans before scurrying off towards the outer edge of the jungle, Mala giggles, bounding off into the inner depths of the jungle. 2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak. "Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!" He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?: Mala frowns deeply, her eyes meeting the Dwarves with a sense of both rage and shyness as she pads along slowly towards him. Mala eventually stops, barely a foot from him, slowly shifting onto her hind legs as she levels with him whilst he is perched on the end of a bar stool. “Littawl ape.. Te’awl me why yu say such things.” As the Dwarf slowly opens his mouth to speak Mala raises her right paw, clutching onto his collar, lifting him and slamming him down onto the bar. Her teeth bared as she leans over him, giving a light snarl “Naw.. Let me te’awl yu.. Why yu say sawch theengs!” Mala leans in, one paw clutching his collar whilst her other slowly traces her claws across his stomach. “Awnderstand these… I awm nawt a house cat, littawl ape.. I awm Kharajyr awnd I knu thawt eef I lowawr my claw just a littawl… Yu weel nawt be able tu make mawr littawl apes. Su… Eef yu insawlt me, awr the Kharajyr wan mawr time, my claws may jawst slip. Awnderstand?” The Dwarf’s face had gone slightly pale as she spoke, giving a rushed and hesitant nod before staring back up at her. Mala smiles, drawing her paw back whilst in tow and launching him into a nearbye bar stool as it broke into a dozen pieces. Mala turned, lunging down onto all fours and made her way out of the bar, a wide smile appearing on her face as she exited the doorway. 3. One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response? Mala smiles as she opens the door, the thundering knocking coming to a halt as the Kharajyr barges in, knocking her back onto her rear as he slams the door behind him, turning back to her. “Mala! Yu haw’ve yu help me!” He bellows, kneeling in-front of her as he begged. Mala’s eyes were still widened as she pulled herself up, frowning down at him “Get awp! Wha’wt happawned? Awnd why deed yu barge een su rudely!?” Her friend pushes himself back up, shuddering lightly before her as he spoke “I keeled him Mala… I keeled him ovawr sawm cake… B-but he wouldawnt sha’awr!” Mala frowns deeply, stepping forwards and past her friend to the door as she pulls it open, turning back to him. “Gu awt the gate tu thu Maw’ree… Take thu boat… Thu Do’ weel cawm soon. Eef yu go out uff’a the back, yu should nawt be seen.” Mala’s friends shuffles up to her, wrapping his arms tightly around her for a moment before releasing his grip and making his way from the doorway, skulking off towards the back end of the jungle. Mala sighed, a tear dropping from her eyes as she watched him slowly disappear from sight before closing her door. She slowly leant back on the frame, sliding down it and onto the floor as she burst into tears, holding her face in her paws as she wept. Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? I swear. 20. If you wish to create a Kharajyr and are working on names, I would recommend just throwing together a random name which may sound completely odd to a different race... Some names a I have encountered in the past are : Zeriko, Morthawl, Tiazar, Karza, Pavazatuna (Forgive me if I got that wrong), vuzaatuana etc.. etc.. ((P.S don't use any of those names :P They're living Kha'.))
  21. *A small hawk returns, carrying a small parchment* "I will purchase three of your carrot seeds for 900 minas."
  22. The thing is, the use of this bird in war for the Kharajyr would included a mass amount of transport via ships as they are stationed on an island. So using them as war machines of sorts would be a massive pain in the rear end :P Also, these birds are MASSIVE, so pretty easy targets for a cannon or even an archer to take on. Granted, a single archer would probably be eaten before taking it out on ground level. Edit: Also, for a foreign man/women to take one of these birds it would require both a ship, a way of sedating/containing the creature and also the man power to drag it to said ship. Not to mention that as stated in the lore, these bird take years to train and are also volatile to non-Kharajyr. Basically, if you can wrangle one off of the island and tame it. I owe you a drink.
  23. ((*Hops the que, looking back as she sticks out her tongue*))
  24. *Aeven pins a snall notice beneath the current one* "I am willing to sell you a chestplate, leggings and pair of boots. However the helmet is something I cannot sell as I do not have it. If you wish to make this trade, contact me about the price. ~Aeven Velorum ((THUNDER37))
