Well, I never saw it hurting us before.

At a core, this is a game, not real life. There is a point where Realism becomes so prevalent that things are no longer fun. This morning, LoTC was an RP server with RPG elements. Now it's an RPG server with some RP on the side.

Who gives a crap if you can't do everything? Why does that concern everyone? Minecraft was never designed to be realistic.

The point of roleplay is to have fun, and from what I've seen, no one is having fun with this new patch.

Who said it was real-life?

It improves RP quite clearly by making it required for people to RP more - as they need to gather the resources.

LotC is hardly an RPG server - an RPG has storylines set in it, you make yours as you go along.

@Cyndikate - look around, people are liking the patch, because they actually are paying attention to the details of it, instead of sitting complaining.
