PREAMBLE Whereas We have seen the ardour and loyalty of the elven people in Our Empire, who wish to unify and establish a cultural union for their elven peoples, We offer Our benedictions and congratulations to their great feat. Whereas We recognize such union beneficial and righteous to both the natural order and Empire, We do seek to see it upheld and maintained. In so we may establish greater freedoms to these elven peoples unified after nigh two centuries of discord, we afford them their status of Dominion and hold them as a protectorate to Our Empire. II. THE PEACE OF WEST AVAR, 1547 Let all of Vailor rejoice! Penned by the hand of Denis de Bar. For nigh two decades, the state of war between the Holy Orenian Empire and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan has seen the flower of both human and dwed youth decimated, and drained the resources of both nations. The Emperor, John II Sigismund Horen, and the Grand King, Rhewen Frostbeard, have seen fit to draw to an end the aforementioned war, and bring about a state of peace and amity between these states; drawing out the following terms: THE GRAND KINGDOM OF URGUAN SHALL: Urguan shall acknowledge that Cascadia, composed of the Fort Rhewengrad and its surrounding lands, shall become a province of the Holy Orenian Empire which now controls it. They shall relinquish any further claim to it, accepting that it shall remain Orenian land. Urguan shall acknowledge that Avar, the island and surrounding seas, shall become a province of the the Holy Orenian Empire which now controls it. They shall relinquish any further claim to it, accepting that it shall remain Orenian land. Urguan recognises and concedes the right of Kolohe Finn to govern the province of Esterwick, acknowledging these lands as a province of the Empire, all claims to those lands and swearing to allow these lands to become Orenian territories. Both nations agree to a formal cessation of hostilities between themselves and any vassals of both crowns, both in the form of pitched battles raids and any other covert warfare that would have taken place in the previous war. Both nations shall endeavour to enter into a treaty to see an end to the termination of commerce and economic trade between the two states, resolving to once again strengthen both nations through mutual cooperation. These actions thus draw a close to the Eighteen Years’ War, one of the most lengthy conflicts yet to occur betwixt the two powers. IN NOMINE DEI, His Imperial Majesty John II Sigismund of the House of Horen, by the Grace of GOD, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, forever August, Apostolic King in Oren, of Savoy, Kaedrin, Haense, Renatus and Salvus, Defender of the Faith, Duke of the Crownlands, Kingston and Leone, Margrave of Greater Kreden, Count of Felsen, Louvain, Beauclair, Wett and Metz, Sovereign of Humanity and Protector of the Elves, etcetera. SIGNED, Grand King Rhewen, first of his name, of the Clan Frostbeard. Rightful King of Urguan, keeper of the sacred relics of Urugan, King of Kal’Akash, Kal’Ordholm, Kal’Novar, speaker of the Brathmordakin and warrior of Dungrimm. Lord Regent Azaghal, first of his name, of the Clan Doomforged. August Confidant of Urguan, Lord of Urguan, Clan Father of the clan Doomforged.

The map design for Athera ignored the strengths of Anthos and coupled with its roleplay events put a damper on the map and server attitude. Vailor, on the other hand, was designed in around two weeks as a plan to be rid Athera as soon as possible. With the mistakes and concerns of the past two dev cycles fresh in our minds, us staff will do our best to make sure 5.0 comes out and exceeds expectations.
