An imperial proclamation is distributed throughout the realm on the 7th of the Sun's Smile 1562. We hereby call to question the claimed revelations of High Pontiff Daniel III. His feverish attempts to dismantle Canonist traditions have left chaos in his wake and forced the hand of the imperial body. We summon all clergy of the realm to the chambers of St. Lothar's cathedral to minister an earnest and thorough Synodic vote to determine a legitimate High Pontiff. The empire fails to recognize the Cardinal Georgiy as High Pontiff due to the flawed nature of his ascension though it does not seek to lambast him and welcomes him to such proceedings. As with the precedent established in the wake of Caesaropapism and the establishment of Canonist principle of Daniel I's election, we call upon all men of the Church to the annals of St. Lothar's Cathedral to deliberate a High Pontiff amongst themselves in this case of an incapacitated and disputed Synod. Once one is declared, we would summon him and his peers to convene in clerical council, to ensure such a calamity does not befall us again. IN NOMINE DEI, His Imperial Majesty John II Sigismund of the House of Horen, by the Grace of GOD, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, forever August, Apostolic King in Oren, of Vandoria, Kaedrin, Ruska, Haense, Renatus and Salvus, Defender of the Faith, Duke of the Crownlands, Avar and Cascadia, Count of Pruvia, Alamar, Thesmer, and Thelen, Sovereign of Humanity, Suzerain of the Elves and Protector of the Dominion of Malin, etcetera.

Dear T. Goldman, In the public forum of the LotC, I prostrate to you in utmost apology for my transgression against your person and honor. To those unaware, in a sacred sanctum on the Skype.exe client and communication service, I had caught wind of a personal affair that T. Goldman had struggled with. In a snide, cruel, and utterly unusual manner that is not representative of my wholesome and good character, I had prodded and instigated at this affair through an unsavory remark. By the malice of this condemnable action, I had immolated the bridge of good camaraderie that consisted of our benevolent and amiable relationship. As I look to the cinders of my mistake, I lament my actions deeply and without abandon before you, T. Goldman. Lo and behold, I have violated your trust and shattered it a thousand times. I plead for your forgiveness and offer a plenitude of apologies before the masses of the LotC in order to amend for my misdeeds. Best, Cjmate PS. I leave you with the words of the distinguished 80s pop artist Pat Benatar, known for her million-selling, gold hit, Love is a Battlefield, in an effort to console you for your personal tragedy. We are young. Heartache to Heartache, we stand. No promises, no demands.

John Sigismund hears of the Chiyaki. "Very nice people." -
With the tourney commenced, the results of the festivities are posted for all to see. THE LISTS Court Mouselman Dogan, Khan of the Azgari, demonstrated fierce talent in the joust. In a legendary bout of tilting, he had unhorsed eight rivals in a row. The steppe tradition of lancing proved supreme until he was dehorsed by the young Prince Henry. Thomas Wettlock and Ser Vitallius also were distinguished in unhorsing Count Reinholt Helvets and Ser Maric respectively. The four passed the preliminaries and entered the finale, placing as follows; Ser Vitallius, fourth place. Thomas Wettlock, third place. Prince Henry, second place. Dogan of the Steppes, first place. Dogan won a purse of three-thousand mina and anointed the Princess Julia Adelheid as Queen of Love and Beauty in the Lists of Laria. The final joust between Prince Henry and the Khan lasted ten bouts; the final score 4-3 as the Khan avenged himself for his defeat earlier. THE MELEE The melee was characterized by historical upsets. The fall of Thire of the Dreadlands before the unknown Ramsey Reinhard was met with awe by the crowds. The Hetman, dehorsed against his steppe rival Khan Dogan, managed to attain sweet vengeance as he defeated him in the pits. Otherwise, the trained elite Nauzicans dominated the field. Four went into the finale and placed as follows; Yuri Vladov, fourth place. Ser Michael Hightower, third place. Hetman Sveneld, second place. Thomas Wettlock, first place. Thomas Wettlock of the Nauzica Brigade won a purse of two-thousand mina and was named Champion of Laria. His intense duel with Hetman Sveneld was renowned for its suspense as onlookers remarked how the fight was shockingly close. Only through a swift riposte did the Hetman fall. THE RANGING The archery competition proved popular as dozens tried their hand at the time-honored tradition. The Captain of the Nauzican Brigade's failure to even hit a single target was a source of great embarrassment. However, he was redeemed by the newly christened Nauzican Toussaint, a farfolk marksman who placed in second. Those that prevailed were noted for sharing common tracking and ranging traditions. The four best marksmen of Laria were as follows; Ser Vitallius, fourth place, with a score of 42/60 Dogan of the Steppes, third place, with a score of 42.5/60. Toussaint Louverture, second place, with a score of 43/60. Count Reinholt Helvets, first place, with a score of 50/60. The Count Reinholt won a purse of two-thousand mina and was named Marksman of Laria. The lord's victory came to little surprise as he deftly hit the targets with utmost precision. Many betted on his success given the Helvets tradition for siegecraft and marskmanship and those that did profited immensely.
