  2. Gudour however is a Drake, who acts on the ability of magic, so normal means of dragon fire don't apply properly to him, nor does normal science. As I said in the post prior, you could evade him if you saw the signs of him readying. But as you pointed out, after he fires, if you're out in the open you have little chance. I know that lightning doesn't actually travel at lightspeed, but for the purposes of dramatic effect and easy explaining I used the term to easily convey how fast it is. Using the term "Are you faster than light" seeing how really, in all honesty, it doesn't make much difference anyways. As you still can dodge it if it is already in the air.
  3. I would assume it could do either or like a dragon would breathe fire. And really, are you faster than light? I mean if you saw the signs and reacted prior then fair enough but actually dodging it after it has been fired would be near impossible. Unless your character happens to keep a faster than light personal drive on their person...
  4. Finally got through a massive chunk of magic lore... lots of denies and accepts, Rune lore is now accepted :p

  5. Move to Accepted Lore for the next stage. Please hold use till Implemented.
  6. This magic has already been accepted, this post was merely a clarification of such magic. -Moving to accepted, thankyou for your patience. -Magic Team
  7. *Stopping by the note, he reads it over carefully, before leaving a reply in turn: * "Not all once good in this world is lost to the passage of time... You must merely know where, to find it... -WindRaker" *Pinning it up to the notice boat, he tips his pointed white hat and carries onwards, Golden Staff of the sentinel in hand tapping away as he moves*
  8. *Keeps changing the signs on the white Rose checkpoint to Malinor from Filthy to "Nice" or "Squeaky Clean" whenever he walks by...* This, this is how I conduct my wars :p

  10. Accepted on these conditions: Balloons are not accepted in lore, I do however offer you the alternative of paper Lanterns, or Chineese laterns, as they have been used in the past in Asulon. The Curses for now are fake. If you would like to persue with making the curses real, please do feel free to post a seperate thread to do with magic curses. Message either me or one of the other lore team once you see this, and we shall move it to the implimented section.
  11. Could I remind people that I do not teach those who simply beg or come with hardly any reason IC please? I'm tried of being constantly washed in PMs asking for magic training. As well, I am not taking on any self taughts myself in highlight that I am very busy as well doing other things than magic on this server, like being a lore master. I swear, I hardly get any time anymore on server without someone bothering me every five minutes anymore. I think I might just need to make an RP post e...

  12. Basically, yes. I have to admit that I did take some inspiration from the concept of Smaug, but then again, Smaug runs the Cliche Gold hording Dragon concept of old. As for how often it would be roleplayed, I don't really know, I would hope at least once in a while, but I don't do the events for Dragons, that's up to Viper/anotherGM/Admins really... Well, there's that, and there's also the fact that being hit by him will most likely have a very good chance of knocking you into the air, so even if the super heating, or the sheer shock doesn't get you, you're looking at a very horrific injury in the form of concussive shock from being flung into a wall or off the side of a cliff most likely. Not to mention, the size of this creature is a lot larger, it is so large in fact that if you read the part about the cottage, you'll see that Gudour was literally snapping trees by sheer down force by flying over head.
  13. *Smiles to himself as he remembers the Fellowship of the Ring Again...
  14. Yes, but I do aim for it to at least be a challenge, this isn't something that will just go down in one event, this is a proper, old style fantasy dragon. I.e something to be feared, a force of nature (well this case, un-nature). I aim for this to be more of an event of if you encounter this drake with either yourself alone or about 6 other people, you better be ready to run, because Gudour is NOT a SKYRIM dragon, he will not be a push over. If you encounter him, and he is in the air, he, will, kill, you. There wont be any of this sizing up stuff were one warrior takes it on himself, such a person is going to end up as charred beef jerky at least. This is a high fantasy old style dragon, i.e youll have little chance of killing it whilst it is in the air, as should be the case with most dragon like creatures, for that is their domain, their advantage. With the fact that Gudour also has increased durability in his hide as well, arrows are most likely going to bounce off him or do little damage. This is a dragon that would need to be hunted down and faced down in its own lair, where it is robbed of the air. I made this lore partly because it saddens me how drakes and dragons are instead of feared simply thought of as a "ooh, I can make some armour out of him" thing. That should not be the case. They are creatures that should be feared, and this will bring that back. If it is accepted, don't complain about how you didn't win against it in the first second third, maybe fourth event, because quite frankly, lotcers get a lot of their antags pretty easily defeated. This is suppose to drive fear rp, to give something to fear or be fearful. I hope that if this is accepted, whoever plays as him makes sure to not simply go down easily, this is not any simple drake. This is very much a legendary creature.
  15. Edited, I got permission finally to call it a Drake again. Thankyou for the feedback so far.
  16. Then I will remind him that his race is a dying breed slowly turning into raving lunatics, before promptly skipping away to my flying tower shouting "I don't need to lift!". :p
  17. ((This is for the purpose of creating a more difficult to kill Drake that will not simply go down in one event, and actually provide some fear behind the concept of a Drake as well as develop a better backstory behind a Drake attack next to the fact that it is a Dragon like attack. This is not a main antagonist, this is simply a Drake like creature with a Character behind it)) Gudour, The Night Terror There are many Dragons, and Drakes and even Dragaar that populate our world, but there are some so fearsome and terrible in their wrath, and carnage that they have ascended even from the ranks of the mythic Drake to become living, dreaded legends. One such Drake is Gudour, The Night Terror: Gudour, is a Legendary creature among mortals, a Great Lightning Drake of unsurpassed rage, malice and greed, covered in thick, blue-ish black scales this once proud Dragaar has now succumbed to its’ own greed, gems encrust its’ scaly hide as gold has become embedded in its’ very scales from greed, only adding to its’ thick hide a stronger substance harder to pierce than any normal Drake. By far, he has grown larger than those of his kin in his time, and with his size, so does his appetite grow. So vast was his want of gold and gems that he drew himself too thin and was forced to sleep for hundreds of years at a time. Once slumbering within the caves and crevices nearing the Southern Wilderness, he slumbered there for many years on end without pause, until one day, an Explorer, quite possibly a Monk Wanderer came across his abode. His abode, a great cavern, it was, with the smell of wet moss lining the walls. Walking the hall like caverns the Wanderer came, the smell of the cavern turning more foul as he descended into it. Until finally, he looked apon the shine of gemstones and gold as he entered an enormous cavern. To his amazement, treasures and gems as far as he could see into the darkness of the cavern could be seen. His own temptation getting the better of him, the wanderer grabbed fistfuls of gold from the pile and stuck it into his pocket. Taking as much as he could as his greed got the better of him. Finally, the wanderer, satisfied of his fill and finding, tread back the way he went, making sure to return next time to gather more of this treasure. Feeling quite pleased with himself of his finding, and that he was going to be, a very, very rich man by the end of this. However... His actions by far, had not gone, unnoticed. From the piles of treasure, watched, two, Large red eyes. Peering as the man grovelled at the gold, clambering and cheering as he fisted his pockets with its' treasure. Enraged, was Gudour, that this vermin would enter his lair, and steal from his very plate. For not only was Gudour one for acts of sheer rage, but he was also greedy, wanting. Wishing for the touch of gold, as it calmed him almost, soothing his lust for carnage. That night, the wanderer returned to his cottage within the woods, happily clapping to himself as he looked at all the gold and gems sprawled around his abode. Making supper for himself, he sat by the rosy fire, feeling very smug of himself. As the night drew on, he fell asleep by the fireside. Falling into sweet dreams of triumph and riches. But, in the middle of the night, he was swiftly awoken. The room was dark, the fires had gone out. His thatched roof creaked and cracked in the winds, and the sounds of snapping trees could be heard as though a hurricane was passing overhead. The gold and gems within his cottage shimmered and vibrated again and again, as something seemingly huge passed overhead. Terrified at what was happening, the wanderer hid under the table, frightened of what was to happen next. Before too long, he heard a crack, and a thump, the ground vibrated harshly as the winds died down. Still quivering in fear, he waited a while longer still, noticing that nothing had happened at all, not a sound, not a whisper. He slowly got up from his hands and knees, looking around the now cold and ruined cottage, the thatched roof was all but gone, leaving but timbers in their wake. Looking around more so, his hairs apon his chin and neck suddenly sprang up, as he heard the sound of heavy breathing. Turning, to see what it was, seeing nothing at first he was relieved, until he spied a dark shape above his cottage, the vigil of a head, a vast head, breathing heavily at him. Startled, he tried to run, but fell backwards apon the gold lying about his room, trying to get up, he turned to see the maw of the beast opening above him. A bright light glowing from within its’ mouth. He tried to scream, but his shrill cry was cut short in the dead of light, as an arc of a thunderbolt spat from the creature’s maw, setting him, and the cottage ablaze, obliterating him in an instant. Gudour, earnt his namesake that night, the night Terror, for such wanton destruction, and it did not end there, no... the wanderer had not only doomed himself, but many others as well, for he woke a sleeping giant, a giant that wished to feed once more, to horde once more. Gudour spied that there were many other vermin as well, with their castles and towns, and he knew that now, was his time once more. Since then, Gudour has been a plague from the south, the huge lightning Drake in the night, for that is when he strikes, for vermin are most vulnerable then. Wishing to find and horde gold back to his lair in the south, swallowing entire treasuries whole in its’ lust and storing it within the belly, of what that is the beast. Wishing not to talk with the vermin that lust for his gold, Jealously guarding his cavern from those who would otherwise wish to loot it, and gathering more once the sun goes down once again. “Weary be those who covet wealth above other aspects of life, for where greed thrives, Gudour will not be far behind...”. ((This lore is for use in events in future if accepted by whoever does the Dragon Events Thankyou for reading, I hope you will leave feedback :D))
  18. It's going to be interesting if I ever meet this guy IC... what with Blunder being relatively as ancient, old looking and wise, excluding all of the subtle purpose behind his persona of course of being a Human "look a like" Yir'sari. I dunno how they would quite react to each other if they got locked in a Room with one another, apart from that Blundermore would know what a Dragaar is if he revealed himself to be one, seeing how this would not be the first Dragaar he has ran into. Interesting to say the least... Good luck trying to play the old wise man role! Make sure to read up on a lot of lore to stay wise like IC :p

  20. Maybe Oren should start to actually allow some RP other than prancing around as nobles near it for a change to grow, instead of just stamping on it and kicking it out in spite before it even has a chance. Like most of the cities in Asulon and guilds, there's RP, and then there is just not showing any form of restraint OOC'ly as to how much you destroy. Who says that the city has to "let" them be there? Who says that actually, they are going to live in a hide away that is unknown to the city nearby Hmm? I lived practically on the front doorstep of Oren as a Dread Knight with my Entire fortress right under your noses and got along just fine. I think that if a shambling, hollow suit of armour could trick a bunch of Oren guardsmen with some bushes and redstone, these knights could probably do the same thing. Why is it a bad thing that they are bringing RP to you? If you had no one to convert your RP would suck ass, surely then you would be on the side of "for". As for creativity, Oren isn't exactly the greatest flair of Creative willpower ever displayed on server either... it isn't fair to deny someone the stereo types simply because you took the stereotypes already, if they develop in RP, no matter what you say, or do, they can do what they damn well please, stereo type or not... Who says that they will be crushed by the Oren military? I hid out with about 5 other people and we took on all of Oren and you STILL couldn't flush us out, speaking in absolutes brings out the wrong impression really that you're going to powergame/meta game where they are and kill them the moment they rear their heads, Because absolutes is making it sound like that. You don't truly know what might happen, you're just trying to predict an outcome and stick it over the top of it saying "NOPE IT'S GONNA FAIL". You don't know that, who says that it won't go on to be the best guild ever made? Sure, I don't know that either, but I know for a fact that there is just as much chance in that occurring as there is what you predict occurring. Stop shooting ideas down before they even begin, most of the good things on this server started off as blatant stereotypes that worked their way up to become what they are today. for example: The Mages Guild The Teutonic Order Oren The War Ugz Elves Dwarves The Anguel and Daemon Mythology The Creator The Ascended and Undead The Druids The Shamans The Dark Brotherhood The clerics The Five Wizards Etc... Need I go on? All these things started as stereo types... but over time they grew into what they are now. Sure, it might not be the "GREATEST IDEA IN HISTORY OF WORLD", it might not be the best writing, but don't shoot it down just because it follows stereotypes, because that argument in itself is completely hypocritical down to every last fiber. I'd say give it its' shot. If it fails, it fails, if not, then well then, we have a new group on the server to join that list of names. No offense to Oren Go'ers, but you will only let your RP improve if you allow other RP to flourish, not everything needs to revolve around finding the source and crushing it as quickly as possible. Was mostly basing that point off of the way Oren acted back in Aegis, with equality for all, equal men/women right etc...
  21. I won't mind it if you use me as a plot device at some point, just be sure to pop me a tell about half an hour prior to coming just so I know you're coming along.
