  1. -=- Posters are pinned throughout all Dwarven cities, the same message written on all of them -=- "Dwarves of Urguan, it has been far to long since we have last held any public events. Let us all get together in Tal'Azmar in the coming stone day. The Legion will drill, and be trained. All Dwarves are welcome to join in the training as a time may come when the service of all Dwarves is needed. Following the training we shall all feast, and have drinks in the drinking hall. Let the strongest belly win the drinking games, and whoever wins shall see a prize in minas." -Oyvind Goldhand OOC: Friday June 23rd at 5PM EST were going to have a legion training followed by a small feast with some drinking games, head to Tal'Azmar to join.
  2. the no man's land will be even worse then the current system. instead of camping gates it'll be camping borders and people pvping then running back into the border. portal option could maybe work, but seems like those portals would also be camped so whoever wins the first battle will win the warzone because they have control of all the portals. i like the idea of the drop down, keeps warzones how they are and allows for bases to be stormed. tbh though just going back to warzones being set up in the real world and being dynamic is the best way to go, i miss when **** was done on the real world and had effects on the terrain (for example after a battle the ground would be all torn up with broken barricades and tents and stuff, and forts would actually be destroyed unlike half of them are after warclaims now)

  8. -=- Oyvind Goldhand would take the stage inside of his campaign results party inside of the Red Urguan Hold. With his old Legion armor and gold cloak, he smiles and waves as he beings to speak. -=- My fellow Dwed, it has become apparent to me, as the results come into our office, that I will not be winning this election. The polls did not go our way, through this election cycle. Unlike my kin of old I’m very happy to accept the democratic results. We pushed hard through this campaign, our message was simple. We would work for the Dwarven worker and warrior, to defend and guarantee their rights! As I said, I would reform the Urguan government, Legion and work aside the Red Urguan Worker’s Party to revive the Dwarven populace, and have our streets boom again. I would like to thank the Red Urguan Worker’s Party, who supported me through this election process. I have just gotten off on the pidgeon line with Grand King Elect Gror Ireheart, and congratulated him on his victory through the hard fought campaign. We talked on the key issues facing Urguan, and how we will push to solve them, and rebuild and rethink our crumbling infrastructure, such as Kal’Omith. I offered him my aid in any matters he may wish, as I still wish to serve the Grand Kingdom and it’s people loyally, in whatever way possible. We will still work to represent your ideas. I’d like to thank each and every one of you who donated, volunteered and voted throughout this election process. You are what makes Urguan great. Congratulations to Grand King Elect Gror Ireheart, and Yemekar bless the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Thank you. -=- Oyvind Goldhand would leave the stage for the last time, smiling and waving as he shakes every Dwarfs hand on the way to his humble home in Tal’Azmar.
  9. -=- Oyvind Goldhand leaves his Tal’Azmar volunteer office with a large and friendly smile on his face. As he steps up to the elevated podium, he dances a short jig as a catchy tune is played by a talented Dwarven bard. Dressed in his finest garb, his golden cloak flows eloquently behind him, his golden tooth evident with every smirk. Tal’Azmar would be his last stop on his campaign trail, where he would rest and await the results as the polls closed, keeping only close company within his campaign team. Tal’Azmar was the crucial battleground hold, where the majority of the vote resided. He would need a different tone compared to his last speech. He must close the polls on a good note. -=- My fellow loyal Dwed of Urguan! It is my pleasure to address all of ye today, on my last stop of this excellent campaign! I’d like to thank all of the volunteers not just here in Tal’Azmar, but throughout the Kingdom who helped make this all possible. I’d like to thank my campaign team, for walking through every step with me, and most of all I’d like to thank ye, Dwed of Urguan. None of this would be possible without any of ye! As we approach the closing of the polls, I cannot say how happy I am to have had this opportunity. To be able to travel the lands of Urguan, hearing the voices of all Dwed has truly inspired me, win or lose, to work for the rights of all Dwed! Whatever office I hold after this election, I will pay all the love and support back to all Dwarves of Urguan. This has truly been a stone-roots movement, with the many donation from hard working Dwarves like yourselves. The fact that ye invested money into this campaign shows that there is yuge desire for change in Urguan! The streets are not as full as they used to be, the Kingdom the least unified it has ever been. A new threat rises everyday, and the economy is in shambles. We are without Legion, and have been without King for too long. The Grand Kingdom of Urguan is not in it’s finest hours lads, I’ve been around a long time and I know that. I’ve seen the peak of our Kingdom, and I’m seeing where it is now, the low valley. The fact that ye Dwed invest in this campaign shows that there is still hope! There is still a desire for unity and greatness in our Kingdom! Lads, ye’ve inspired me. As Grand King I would work for ye, the common worker of Urguan. The Red Urguan Worker’s Party, which I’m proud to be a member of, is a vital Party working to restore the greatness of the worker of Urguan! Under the wise and veteran eyes of Hogarth, Darid, and Midgor the Party is bringing glory back to the worker. As Grand King I would work alongside my party to better the rights of the worker of Urguan. As a former Grand Marshal, the Legion has a special place in my heart. It has been many years since we’ve had a Legion to be feared lads, and part of this is my fault. The Grand Kingdom is nay Grand without a fearsome Legion. That is why I will work tirelessly to revive the Legion, under a new and powerful Grand Marshal. The Legion will be feared once again, and disunity and other threats will shy away from our soon to be mighty Kingdom! Our infrastructure is crumbling. Kal’Omith has been left abandoned for years. We must re-enter Kal’Omith and decide it’s future with the Kingdom. Furthermore, we must work with the excellent Lord Fimlin, who has done a great job managing the Kingdom, to continue to grow Tal’Azmar, and figure out a plan for future architecture in the area. Including the possible development of the hold into a grand capital. I know our Kingdom better than most lads, and I know this disunity will soon fade with the support of strong leadership. Unity will take it’s place. My fellow Urguanites, let your voices be heard. Get to the polls before they close! Let’s have a high voter turnout. Get out and vote for what you want for the future of Urguan. If ye love our Kingdom, and ye love yer clan as much as I know that ye do. Stand and speak and vote your conscience. Vote for who you trust to defend our unity and our articles. Thank ye, and Yemekar bless the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. -=- Oyvind looks around the crowd as he finishes his speech. As they roar with excitement he walks into the crowd and begins shaking the hand of all Dwed in attendance.
  10. Name: Oyvind Goldhand (Username): CaptainBrock Put an X next to your chosen candidate Grilthram Grandaxe Oyvind Goldhand X Gror Ireheart
  11. -=- Oyvind Goldhand stands upon the platform assembled within the Red Urguan Hold. He waves as the crowd cheers his name, filled with workers, warriors, and holy men. He smiles as he looks to his campaign manager Torsdul Grandaxe. As the crowd silences he begins his speech. -=- Over two years have passed since that unhappy day when the dwarven people, blinded by promises made by those at home and abroad, forgot the highest values of our past, of the Grand Kingdom, of its honor and its freedom, and thereby lost everything. Since those days of treason, Yemekar has withdrawn his blessing from our nation. Discord and hatred have moved in. Filled with the deepest distress, millions of the best Dwarven men and women from all walks of life see the unity of the Grand Kingdom disintegrating in a welter of egoistical political opinions, economic interests, and ideological conflicts. As so often in our history, Urguan, since the day the revolution broke out, presents a picture of heartbreaking disunity. We did not receive the equality and fraternity which was promised us; instead we lost our freedom. The breakdown of the unity of mind and will of our Grand Kingdom at home was followed by the collapse of its political position abroad. We have a burning conviction that the Dwarven people in 1612 went into the great battle without any thought of personal guilt and weighed down only by the burden of having to defend the Grand Kingdom from attack, to defend the freedom and material existence of the Dwarven People. In the appalling fate that has dogged us since the rebellion, we see only the consequence of our inward collapse. But the rest of the world is no less shaken by great crises. The historical balance of power, which at one time contributed not a little to the understanding of the necessity for solidarity among the nations, with all the economic advantages resulting therefrom, has been destroyed. The delusion that some are the conquerors and others the conquered destroys the trust between nations and thereby also destroys the dwarven economy. But the misery of our people is terrible! The starving industrial proletariat have become unemployed in their millions, while the whole middle and artisan class have been made paupers. If the Urguanite farmer also is involved in this collapse we shall be faced with a catastrophe of vast proportions. For in that case, there will collapse not only a Grand Kingdom, but also a 1600-year-old inheritance of the highest works of Dwarven culture and civilization. All around us are symptoms portending this breakdown. With an unparalleled effort of will and of brute force the Frostbeard method of madness is trying as a last resort to poison and undermine an inwardly shaken and uprooted nation. They seek to drive it towards an epoch which would correspond even less to the promises of the Frostbeard speakers of today than did the epoch now drawing to a close to the promises of the same emissaries. Starting with the family, and including all notions of honor and loyalty, nation and Urguan, culture and economy, even the eternal foundations of our morals and the brathmordakin—nothing is spared by this negative, totally destructive clan. Years of Frostbeard rebellion have undermined Urguan. One year of unrule would destroy Urguan. The richest and most beautiful areas of world civilization would be transformed into chaos and a heap of ruins. Even the misery of the past decade and a half could not be compared with the affliction of a Axios in whose heart the blue flag of destruction had been planted. The thousands of injured, the countless dead which this rebellion has already cost Urguan may stand as a presage of the disaster. In these hours of overwhelming concern for the existence and the future of the Dwarven Kingdom, the venerable Oren War leader, Bastion Ireheart, appealed to us men of the nationalist parties and associations to fight under him again as once we did at the front, but now loyally united for the salvation of the Urguan at home. The revered Grand King of Urguan having with such generosity joined hands with us in a common pledge, we nationalist leaders would vow before Yemekar, our conscience and our people that we shall doggedly and with determination fulfill the mission entrusted to us as the Senate. It is an appalling inheritance which we are taking over. The task before us is the most difficult which has faced dwarfkind in living memory. But we all have unbounded confidence, for we believe in our nation and in its eternal values. Miners, workers, and the warrior class must unite to contribute the bricks wherewith to rebuild the Dwarven Kingdom. The Urguan Government will therefore regard it as its first and supreme task to restore to the Dwarves unity of mind and will. It will preserve and defend the foundations on which the strength of our Grand Kingdom rests. It will take under its firm protection the Brathmordakin as the basis of our morality, and the family as the nucleus of our Grand Kingdom and our state. Standing above estates and classes, it will bring back to our people the consciousness of its racial and political unity and the obligations arising therefrom. It wishes to base the education of Dwarven youth on respect for our great past and pride in our old traditions. In place of our turbulent instincts, it will make national discipline govern our life. In the process it will take into account all the institutions which are the true safeguards of the strength and power of our Grand Kingdom. -=- The Grand King will carry out the great task of reorganizing our national economy with two big plans: Saving the Dwarven worker so that the nation’s food supply and thus the life of the nation shall be secured. Saving the Dwarven worker and warrior by a massive and comprehensive attack on unemployment and a new and improved Legion. The Grand King will carry out the following plan with iron resolution and dogged perseverance. Within four years the Dwarven workers must be saved from pauperism. Within four years unemployment must be completely overcome. Parallel with this, there emerge the prerequisites for the recovery of the economy. Now, Dwarves of Urguan, give us a few years and then judge us. Let us begin, loyal to the command of the Grand King. May Almighty Yemekar favor our work, shape our will in the right way, bless our vision and bless us with the trust of our kind. We have no desire to fight for ourselves; only for Urguan. -=- Oyvind Goldhand nods and raises his fist high into the air as he finishes the speech, the loud cheer of the crowd washing over the Red Urguan Hold, where Oyvind has his campaign headquarters. As Dwarven bards play a finishing tune he walks off of the stage, shaking the hand of every Dwarf in attendance.
  12. -=- Oyvind looked over his rough and callused hands, letting out a sigh as a chilly wind came through his home in Tal’Azmar. The chill seeped through skin and into bones long used and weary from recent troubles. He smiled as he picked up his bag of coins from the small table below the window. The cold of the coins leaked out of the small bag it was in, something that would make any hand shiver. But not the hands of Oyvind Goldhand. It had been near a year since the Frostbeards had rebelled from the Kingdom, where Oyvind was forced to choose between Family and Kingdom. He had made the wrong choice at first, siding with the rebellious and disloyal Frostbeard clan, but he had come to light. The Senate of Hammers saw fit to allow Oyvind to return in his duty toward the Kingdom, something that brought a smile to Oyvind Goldhand’s face as he realized his years of service as Grand Marshal were not forgotten. The smile faded to a frown as Oyvind remembered the Dwed that lurked in Jornheim, claiming their cause righteous. Some he did not believe could do such foul acts. His brother Gorum Frostbeard once a staunch and loyal servant of the Kingdom, now a rebel missing from the field, perhaps guilt had overcome him. Others crossed his mind such as his young Nephew Garrond, who showed so much potential along with other young Frostbeards. But that was not his thought as he dropped the bag of coins, a clank evident as it hit the ground. His thoughts were of the Goldhand manor in Asulon, where him and his brothers Gorum and Goruk served Kingdom, as well as coin. That is what it should be now, loyalty to coin, aye, but above that loyalty to Kingdom. That is what Oyvind Goldhand will live by, coin and Kingdom. It was time to wash off blue paint and don that of gold. Looking down at the bag of coins, he smirked, showing his golden tooth.
