From: The Desk of the Turr'sair of Fi'ceru To: Merchants To those of the realm, One seeks to purchase oak logs. Prices and offers must be listed below. — Taeleh Elibar'acal

The Owl strode forth, perhaps more confident than he had been in recent days— a surety in his step as if a great weight had been lifted from him. As if knowledge had been procured beyond expectation. A knowledge which would tear Haelun'or from its decay and into a new era; and era of Purity It is you, mali, who tire of speeches from me. Who tire from my rhetoric which for years has opposed the Laethisian regime which I so claim threatens our very way of life, and destroys the morals which our Blessed Haelun'or has been founded upon for centuries since Larihei's time. It is on this day which I state this rhetoric has come to an end. For the truth of Laethis has come to pass. There can be no doubt that Laethis associates and copulates with Frost Witches, and for this he is impure beyond reproach. He is unfit to lead our kind and is unfit to walk amongst us. He speaks to the Maheral upon this day and calls him Maruthir, and yet I say that he is Maruthir himself. No longer shall we stand for this elf killing his opponents. No longer shall we let him lie with frost witches. No longer shall we watch him destroy our very society from without and within. On this day the mali stand. Without hesitation it is my duty to challenge this elf. His office of Tilruir'mali hangs in the balance. And yet... It is my expectation with the words to come... Laethis shall resign rather willingly. The Owl shall end the reign of the Platypus. And with this... Taeleh would yield the stage. And yet he did not yield it to silence. In an odd turn... Kelthran would take the stage.

In return a Golden haired mali'aheral would so leave his words, speaking not of the Maheral— but of maidens of ice and their impure husbands. It is upon this day that the Tilruir'mali, seeking to pervert the course of justice against his insidious marriage to a Frost Witch does seek to slander the Maheral. It is I, Taeleh Elibar'acal, who shall admit that the Maheral is perhaps slothful in his duties. And yet, it is the pure elf who is slothful who is much preferred to the elf who returns home, at night, after a long day of work— to sleep with his ice-skinned wife. It is in his own attack upon the Maheral that the Tilruir'mali reveals his love for chilled blood and impure bodies— for he calls upon the one by the name of Crumena who so speaks of Men of the Mark who ventured to Haelun'or. Is it not strange coincidence the man who sleeps with frost witches is killed by those who hunts beasts? Is it not strange that it is only when he is accused of such an abhorrent and unholy crime that he steps forth to criticize the Maheral? Is it not curious how vehemently Laethis defends himself when a light is cast upon his vile bedroom tendencies? It is this elf by the name of Laethis who ****s Frost witches by night. It is this elf by the name of Laethis who killed Suliin'thill in cold blood. It is the elf by the name of Laethis who pretends there is not reason or rhyme for men to hunt him. Nae, I say. The elf who accuses the Maheral does so not for neglect of duty— but because he fears his impurity being cast upon the world. It is thus I defend not the Maheral— though I rever his wisdom. I instead state plainly that the poison in the words of the Tilruir'mali come not from genuine concern— but from fear. Go to your beast wife, dear Laethis. Console her. Sleep with her. The true mali of Haelun'or know truth.

Two Years of Decay: The Council's Silence
Supremacy replied to Supremacy's topic in Vailor Roleplay Archive
"The Tilruir'mali delays to further his own agenda! He perverts the way of our Republican Ways for his own gains, just as the vile Zeus did. There is no election to be had for Indor. The absence of the Tilruir is sufficient as acceptance he is not completing his duties". -
"It is a talent, llir" states Taeleh.

Taeleh rises before the Citizens of Haelun'or, speaking anew: "Catatonia has so clawed at our hearts, Silver Elves of Haelun'or. We must brush back this brutish tide and rush towards progress— just as Larihei and the Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya so demands". "It is the duty of the mali'aheral of Haelun'or to so rise up to the ranks of the council— when those who so occupy their offices falter. It is thus that I so stand before you, mali'aheral, upon this day— to challenge the office of Tilruir'lliran for he is ill and can no longer perform his duties". "For years have I so represented and aided our Blessed people— constructing our very laws so that we could be protected from the tyranny and impurity of ages past. And so, with the coming of a new age for Haelun'or, I once more seek to aid our people— this time wishing to so rise to our Blessed Council". "It is as Tilruir'lliran, I so seek to spread the Blessed message of Haelun'or— seeking friends where they are so absent. It is as a member of our Revered Council I so seek to root out the corruption which runs rampant and rectify the cursed political situation which we so find ourself in. No longer shall the impure and wild run Haelun'or. No longer shall we stand for these incursions on our Blessed way". "So it begins".

Once more the issue of the absent Indor resurfaces, as Taeleh speaks anew; "For nearly six months the Council has been silent upon the two-year absence of the Tilruir'indor. As opposed to rectifying the issue— the Tilrir'mali prefers to scorn our Republican Ways— perhaps for he wishes to restore his own murderous and authoritarian ways— perhaps because he is simply foolishly minded." “The Citizenry of Haelun'or grow fatigued, fair council of the Silver Kin. The replacement of the Tilruir'indor is deemed a necessity— for he does not fulfills his role and has, for all intents and purposes, vanished from the Citadel." "They say it is not the role of the Turr'sair of a town across the straits to question their government and the absence of the Indor. It is I who says if it is the Turr'sair who notices a two year absence first— perhaps the Council ought look within rather than without". "Time ticks away, let us lift ourselves from catatonia. Silence and decay benefit no elf". Taeleh turns on his heel, striding off. "Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya".
-
Would reply with disdain: "And so we find the origin of Jupiter's violent authoritarian state. He who did mould Jupiter— one Laethis Izalith. You, fine elf, hold no office of reverence— for you are the Tilruir'mali. Servant of Elves and Haelun'or. So it is your duty to serve Haelun'or, and its laws in their entirety. It is not you place to threaten that which has led our people for generations" "Kaean evar'lar".
-
Taeleh sands before the citizens of the Citadel, once more he speaks; "So languishes our library— day by day. The one by the name of Riondil Seni has challenged the Tilruir'indor— and for three elven days the Tilruir'indor has been silent. Given his refusal, or inability to accept or decline the challenge— it moves to the Maheral and Council" “The choices are plain. To accept him immediately, or to hold an election in which one may abstain, nullifying anyone as Tilruir'indor, or vote for the challenger" He finally states; "Refusal to replace the challenged indor is an affront to our Republican Ways— it would harken back to the corruption of Jupiter. The election must begun". "Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya".

With the development of Fi'ceru from sleepy swamp and sea-side town into what is now a medium-sized settlement, it so comes time to regulate the commerce which exists within its boarders. While housing and necessities are free; as prescribed by the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya— those who engage in commerce do, too, hold duty to the State and not just themselves. Thusly all merchant businesses in Fi'ceru shall, henceforth, pay to perpetuate their sales in Elcihi. Payment is made weekly. Missed payments will incur removal of enterprises. For comparison, stalls in the Capital of Oren require 200 up-front and 100 minas a week— and are similar in size to Small Markets. Small Market [30 Minas/Week] — "Daclavian Co." & "Saint's Fishing Shop" [1] UNOCCUPIEDLarge Stall [80 Minas/Week] [1] UNOCCUPIEDThe Iron Crucible / Kingsman Mercantile [200 Minas/Week]Further space to be established in time.Alternative payment measures will be considered upon request. Fees are subject to fluctuations based upon city growth, or shrinkage. Payment is due before or on the 3rd Elven day of the week ((Friday)). Multiple weeks in advance shall be accepted up to 4 weeks. A price shall not be modified during such a time. — Turr'sair

From: The Desk of the Turr'sair of Fi'ceru To: Merchants To those of the realm, One so seeks to purchase ferrum for a variety of purposes. So return mail with your price below and, if a price is suitable— a quantity shall be purchased. — Taeleh Elibar'acal

From: The Desk of the Turr'sair of Fi'ceru To: The Silver Council of Haelun'or To those of Elhieal'thilln, The Settlement of Fi'ceru, in its endeavour to expand and make most use of the land and sea provided to it does formally request the temporary acquisition of the mali'aheral voyaging ship. It shall be used to host businesses, which far exceeds its current use of merely sitting in the harbour without much purpose at all. All in the endeavour of the furthering of Haelun'or— maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. — Taeleh Elibar'acal

Taeleh stood before the citizens of the Citadel, announcing plainly but with purpose; "So languishes the sciences within Haelun'or. And when science does languish, so too does the maher'sae hiylun'ehya." Taeleh would take a deep breath moving to continue; “I have recently come aware that the Tilurir’indor is failing upon his duties. For the library lays without development. The labs lay without learning. For five months the Tilruir'indor has not been seen within the cihi. It is clear he neglects his duty to the council— it is clear that our Republican Ways must replace him— for the good of the vision of Larihei” He pauses once more. "Should none challenge the Tilruir'indor for his position within the next two elven days— I Taeleh Elibar'acal, shall nominate myself to remove the catatonic nature of the office of the Tilruir'indor". "Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya".

[Recruitment] The Golden Owl: A Torch to Darkness
Supremacy replied to Supremacy's topic in Vailor OOC Archive

Just as an insatiable desire for power brings forth corruption— so to do idle hands bring forth the work of Iblees. Over years our kindred of Silver have grown ignorant of that which seeps amongst them. An ignorance which in time shall threaten their own ways, and that of the realm. It is thus we shall be a torch to the darkness. .~-The Order of the Golden Owl-~. An Order born of the observation that to slip into darkness is not an obscurity but rather a culmination of years of deviance. An Order which so seeks to not to delve into darkness itself, but rather to expose it and purge it where it lies— for the glory of the maher'sae hiylun'ehya, and the good of the Realm of Vailor itself. It is thus, fine elf, man or other of this wicked world— you find yourself so invited to find purpose amongst our kindred. If it is you who seeks to aid our cause, so send word to Fi'ceru. There we gather and grow by the day. Elibar’acal, elkhel ito narne il’cruan ay’thilln kaean taliiyh adri’leh, ullral, ata— narne’ne ito kaean evarn’lar. The Golden Owl, darkness is upon us, With pain and for silver, we bleed, Apparitions, beasts and the wretched walk amongst us, We are the shield.

High elves should have blue, green or purple eyes. Edit the skin and it should be fine. That said... they shouldn't kill new players, and should tell them that :\ Sorry about that friend! Easy to fix though :) Have fun!

Hello friends, enemies and other strange peoples and horses of the internets. Today I come to you with a strange notion. A strange notion which came from the bottom of my cap... or someone else's cap... I forget whose brain-cap did invent this idea, and yet it is a solid idea to have been invented none-the-less. I see your opinions, dear friends, you see. To learn if you think the Temple seeks the sea. Its much easier for new players to find the boats to go to nations if the temple is at the docks.

~.The Squirrel and The Owl.~ With the dawn the fire would still smoulder, the tower of the Golden Owl hollowed by the flames which devoured wood and elf alike. The end of a battle which had claimed the life of more than one of the un-living. A consequence of a Necromancer who had wandered into Fi'ceru seeking to spread his vile taint, yet unaware of what did transpire. Within the inn sat not just four owls, but four Men of the Mark. Words exchanged and aurum blades drawn, ghoul, man and elf did clash. The owl and squirrel did, together, devour the rat. Dragged, unconscious, the warlock found himself upon an altar. Gold dust scattered upon him as Uhier'talar Elibar'acal did mutter the ancient words of the Owl. The milk of Larihei, drunk by each in turn. A gilded bright-steel blade drawn. The smile of Larihei heals the mind like milk heals the body, liewyn'Larihei eltaeleh walehe ohn vallein eltaliyna walehe, Your body unfit for the milk, Your mind unfit for the smile of Larihei, Your very essence forefeit. And with a cut, blood spewed forth... maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. ((Not a poster))

.~-The Order of the Golden Owl-~. And into the embrace of the stars they went, searching without relent for that which plagued the valleys and plains beyond the Silver Isles of Haelun'or. The Death of A Deamon, The Birth of a Light

The Smile of Larihei Heals the Mind Like Milk Heals the Body The Lifting— Sacrifice The Ritual of the Lifting is different from that of Untempered Fi, for it is the stringent conditions which make for the true, Tempered Fi's creation. The ritual of the Elibar'acal follows, and yet it is sufficient but not necessary to create a Tempered soul. The sacrifice is tied to the Altar, imbued with the magic of Fi. The room is lit only by the light of a Fi' orb in a specially made lamp. Gold dust is scattered upon the sacrifice as the following is read. Each in attendance may bless themselves as they so desire. The smile of Larihei heals the mind like milk heals the body, liewyn'Larihei eltaeleh walehe ohn vallein eltaliyna walehe, Milk is passed between those in attendance in a Silver Chalice. It is drunk by each in turn, symbolising they are worthy of the Milk of Larihei, and therefore her smile. Your body unfit for the milk, Your mind unfit for the smile of Larihei, Your very essence forefeit. The Milk is refused to the sacrifice, symbolising they are unworthy of it. A blade imbued with Fi' energy (read: Fi'chant, just as the altar is) is used to cut the sacrifice's throat and as this is done droplets of blue will pool on the blade's tip. Blood is collected in a clay pot. The droplets will spin and form an orb of blue light which will become stable (PK) or will explode in a flash of light (no PK, soul escapes). It is required an orb be present to power both the altar and the blade. The Ritual of the Lifting requires merely the gold dust, altar, blade and orb. Everything else is merely a detail. It is the soul which is destroyed used to forge a second connection to the void. It is then channeled into the orb. It is this orb which contains that which remains of the destroyed soul is a vessel to fuel the magic, and unlike in Untempered Fi, as established in the Fi' rebirth lore, must be fuelled by spectral or soul energy. It is as a consequence they often find themselves upon hunts for spectrals. Though, strictly speaking— a true soul can be used if one is inclined towards the immoral inclination of Fi'. The magic can not be used in absence of these orbs, which will not shatter like glass since they're— you know... made of soul and not glass. The precise orb can be changed. It is merely the fuel which is contained in the orb which is so required. The orb itself is the seat of the soul. No orb no soul, no soul no magic. Thusly, it is possible that a Fi' mage could be disabled by the orb being brought a distance from him (40 metres or more). The orb can be taken away, or simply left behind. Furthermore.... they can just put it in a zipped pocket. However, the orb itself is immune to magic acting upon it directly, given the soul bridges mana to the void. Anything which does act upon it dissipates if it is magic. Furthermore— a soul orb not in an essence library, or similar device to prevent dissipation, it will dissipate after it is out of "range" of a Fi' mage for more than an hour, ceasing to be entirely. In this way you can "disable" a Fi' mage for quite some time, until they find a new orb or sacrifice to make one. Other Notes Established in LM/MAT: Enchanted Fi' implements will not be in use until further lore is written, with the exception of the sacrificial blades and altars— as they are not anti-magic as required for the ritual. If a warrior is strength 1, a mage is strength 0.5 and a Fi' user is physical strength 0.75.The soul still whispers to you— though it is destroyed— its likeness still lingers akin to a soul-shadow. There you go Bird.

.~-The Order of the Golden Owl-~. It was the child who was cursed. The child who was born in ice, snow and amongst the wicked Dragon's Brood was condemned. Such creatures have no home in this realm, for they are destined to corrupt it— by nature of the taint which infects their very essence. It was this child whose soul was to be cleansed by the Golden Owl. A fire to corruption. Just as it is the Father who disciplines the child, so too must those who pervert the nature of the world be disciplined. And so, plucked from darkness one was so found. And so into the shadows he was drawn, to illuminate the path for the Golden Owl. The path which was to come. An elaborately embellished blade lifted, rusted from centuries of disuse. The smile of Larihei heals the mind like milk heals the body, liewyn'Larihei eltaeleh walehe ohn vallein eltaliyna walehe, Your body unfit for the milk, Your mind unfit for the smile of Larihei, Your very essence forefeit. Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. And from the Child's sacrifice. From the purging of corruption and ending of its darkness which had plagued our realm... Came light. ((This post is a recount of events, not a poster.))
