  1. ~-Elsillumiran – The Weeping Blades-~ “We wear masks so that we may hide our shame. Beneath the gold of our crafted faces, our tears well and fall like rain in summer. There is no pride in our hearts. There is no joy in ending life. There is no righteousness in the blade, and the bow. Our sacrifice is for our people, our city, and the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya.” It is the long-held duty of the Sillumir to ensure the safety of Haelun'or and its Blessed Denizens. However, absence and failure in this duty is to be met with scorn. Our very own Tilruir'tir has found herself absent from the cihi for nearly an elven year, and her failings in her duty to the council and Sillumir are self-evident. It it thus that oem Taeleh Elibar'acal calls for a challenge to be posed against her seat within the next elven day— so that a more suitable individual can take her place. Failing this, I myself shall challenge her and attempt to run against the woefully incompetent Tilruir. Failings are to be removed. The government system forged for this purpose. I implore you— challenge the Tilruir. — Taeleh Elibar'acal
  2. Anyone capable of skinning? Poor ol' Fi'ceru need a guard skin!

  3. "Less crippled" is not a synonym for "healthy". Normal Fi' has worse effects than void magic.
  4. They still remain limited to Fi'. No other magic can be used.
  5. Elibar'acal, more than likely— will find... something.
  6. Or, it implies that the mana used is pushed towards the void. And the life force is carried as a result.
  7. One can swap between the two types of Fi'All magic can be drained with the second type. They will still be physically weaker. But the drawbacks of regular (untempered) Fi' is more than regular magic. This brings it to lesser, so they're not like... headache prone sticks and can use weapons.
  8. Untempered Soul — Regular Fi. Morally ambiguous. Tempered Soul — New Fi! Not really ambiguous. Untempered— More power. Tempered— Can enchant weapons you have on your person. Tempered— Any magic. Untempered— Division in two. Untempered— No feeding. Tempered— Must feed spectrals.
  9. Mist is still real— just weaker with a tempered soul. They still drain magic more efficiently than it is made though. The weapons are an alternative. You're still physically weaker, just less so. Think Cleric vs. Mage.
  10. This magic exists. It drains magic. This modification adds a morally acceptable form with a changed set of lore.
  11. You need someone to agree to a PK. The death is a "conduit" to make a second bridge to the void. That is all.
  12. Submission. To be totally accurate; this can be Holy if done correctly. You're using a death to forge a second connection.Kill a NecromancerThe necromancer had to die anywayThe necromancer dies, you do not trap themYou can now remove unholy things
  13. The Tempering of Souls The Fi’ who so wander this world are not those who had done so in the past. The ancient art, riddled in mystery and ritual had been lost to time— lost to the gradual dispersion of the once proud Elibar’acal. And yet, the Golden Veil cracks. There was wealth to be found in this realm of Vailor, and not wealth of jewels… But wealth sealed within a Golden Tomb. The Lifting— Sacrifice It is not the act of the ancient Golden Owls to tear a soul from a freshly butchered corpse. Nor is it the way of them to kill a stranger. The acts of the Golden Owl was one of deep sadness, and wickedness. A life taken was no stranger. A life taken was done so for the one purpose, tied up upon a Soul Altar and— with a blade infused with the power of Fi— their very life essence harvested from them. Torn from their mortal being and into eternal servitude within the soul of their master. It is tempered and placed. It is without this ritual, without the very precision of the Ancient Elibar’acal, that a soul reaped is but a fraction of the use of one taken with proper method. The Tempered and Untempered Soul Without such the practitioner is limited to the simple, familiar mist of the Fi— but with it… The possibilities become a far more interesting affair entirely. It is the Untempered Fi’ practitioner who may, in truth, be able to output a more raw flurry of power. But he who has sacrificed and bound the soul, the Tempered user, who can forge things far more useful than initial apperances would ever reveal. Thusly there finds a split amongst the Fi’ mages— those who temper their souls and those, perhaps unaware of the Ancient Ways— who do not (ikur). The Tempered (thill) soul has lost its true essence. The true soul passes on, or ceases, and it is merely the apparatus of the soul which is used. The true individual is lost. Thusly this harvest’s end result is a knife to the heart. A death. Strictly speaking there is nothing unholy about a Tempered Soul, at least to the degree that any murderer is not unholy. Simply… A horrific person. It has been harvested to be bound separate to the practitioners own soul, yet in harmony with it— no longer truly separate. The Tempered Practitioner (thill) finds themselves, at the expence of raw power also found at a second disadvantage. That their captured soul, in the destruction of itself is weaker— and so must be fueled. Strictly speaking it is not a soul. The soul is gone. It is a conduit for a second connection. All magic is poured through this window. Thusly non-standard magics can be drained too. As a consequence of this, the Fi’ practitioners with Tempered souls find themselves capable of infusing weaponry with magics-bane qualities and need not split themselves between holy and voidal magics. They are, however, still restrained to only practicing Fi' and are still physically weaker than their non-magical counterparts. They retain all abilities of the "normal" Fi' mage. The Binding Stone The Tempered Fi’ practitioner finds themselves with a ravenous imperfect soul bound to them, something which must be fueled. It is such that a Binding Stone is forged— an object in which the essence of incomplete, and, sometimes completed souls must be harvested. This is seen, most often through the harvesting of the essence of Soul Shadows and Fragments. Whereby the Fi’ practitioner seeks out ghosts, gravens and apparitions— along with other spectral beings— to harvest them of their power. It is notable that this, in and of itself, is no particular immoral act. For it is known, quite plainly, at least to many practitioners of the Ancient way, that these souls are fragments— not true souls. Thusly the act is a release for something that is not sentient or true. Often times the stone itself is placed in a Lantern or other such object. Strictly speaking— energy may be harvested from live souls too. It is the act, however, of the more violent Fi’ for many are high elves— finding violence distasteful. Undesirable. Essence Libraries A Fi’ practitioner is capable of keeping what might be deemed a collection of souls. For just as one can harvest souls and feed them into a binding soul— so can one leave a soul. Thusly, should one capture more than one soul— it can be… swapped in and out. This is little use for tempered souls (for they are dead), however, in this way somewhat of a “library” of untempered souls could be made. Partial Binding Spirits and other similar spectral beings can be partially bound. Their soul essence not fed into the binding stone, but rather isolated in a separate one. Should the binding stone crack the creature could be freed. However, the more "powerful" the soul, the more difficult it is to contain. None-the-less... Such spectrals can sometimes be bound, and sometimes even used. The Rending The Rending is a ritual of extracting a part, but not a whole, of an individual's soul. Often used to tear corruption from within, the method has been employed against shades. It, however, required repeated use to truly tear corruption from the soul. ((OOC consent, temporary or permanent removal of soul afflictions)). It can, more maliciously, be used to tear the essence of an individual out of them— creating a husk of what lay there before. Polyessence Strictly speaking it is possible for a Fi’ practitioner to contain more than one essence at a time. However, the taxing components of fatigue, dizzyness and headaches increase exponentially. Thusly it is inadvisable and weakening. On Morality While it is the untempered Fi’ mage who is, by their own nature, unholy. It is the Tempering of souls which shifts its nature elsewise to something entirely, depending on its use, moral.. The Tempering of an unholy individual’s soul is a purge. They pass on, without chance of resurrection by the monks. Now… Of course… If you’re just killing monks and children, you’re still unholy. But if you’re systematically purging necromancers, apparitions and others— then you are not. For this purpose it allows a dichotomy. "Holy" or at least good and unholy. To be entirely honest— the purpose would be to make a "good" or "holy" order to purge evil spectral creatures (i.e. Apparitions). So at least for what I might want to do with it— it might be Holy of sorts.
  14. To all corners of this fair realm of Aos itself, birds do fly. Seeking out those of Silver Blood and Golden Minds. Before a campfire once more, two Elibar'acal stand. "And so our kindred have entrenched ourselves amongst the blessed kin of Silver once more, Elibar'acalan. And yet our journey has not yet come to an end". "And yet what is this you so speak of? What still do we await?" The first figure grunts, standing before the fire before tossing a broken spear into the flames. "Those of Golden Blood do not idle. Our task is not yet at an end. Their ways still reek of cursed acts." "And so they must be taught.". "And so they shall learn".
  15. It can be argued, and indeed quite persuasively that a swamp— particularly a mosquito infested swamp is no desirable place to inhabit. And, dear elf, man or... Whatever manner of being you are... you would be right! But fear not, kind reader, for the wild— just as the mind of the lowly impure— can be tamed! It is through unceasing effort, brought to you by The Order of the Golden Owl in which nature has been tamed— and a pseudo-scientific (some might say Alchemical) cure for mosquito infection has been found and applied, without restraint to the island of Fi'Ceru! You ask why all the wildlife is dead on the island? I assure you that is not a consequence of our cure and that all wildlife died a natural death. None the less, kind descendant! Before you lies opportunity! The Island Settlement of Fi'Ceru approaches completion, and with it so comes the seeking of citizens. Have you always wanted to live in a tropical paradise?Do you seek a sense of adventure in your life?Perhaps you simply really want a house?Do you wish to live somewhere where all Mosquitos were eradicated? Well, here in the Settlement of Fi'Ceru, we assure you we can make at least 50% of those dreams come true! Which 50% you ask!? Well, I suppose you shall have to just come and see! With delightful housing options including; The Small Hall! Now with 66.66% less mould! (13 available!) The Moderate Spire! Now with less risk of collapse! (6 available!) The Grand Guild Hall! I... I can't say there was anything ever wrong with this! But wait, prospective resident or trader— there's more! Not only are there delightful homes available (and basements so long as they remain directly under the property, may be constructed)— but also for those with aquatic inclinations there lies plenty of space for boats to be moored temporarily, or more permanently if you are the kind of person who would buy a boat and stay in one spot— because that makes sense, right!? The town comes fully equipped with an Inn, Gatehouse, Chapter of the Sillumir— and most importantly a Market! Those interested in this unique opportunity ought send word to the Turr'sair by mail. Fi'Ceru; a place situated— isolated upon an isle. A sanctuary in a world gone mad. Its arms flung open to the descendants(but not mosquitos) while casting a sceptical eye on all who might enter its walls. What could possibly go wrong!? Opening: Sometime in the Next 3 Elven Days! — Taeleh Elibar'acal, Turr'Sair of Fi'Ceru
  16. As so stands in line with the Law of Haelun'or, and the Charter of Fi'Ceru— it is undesirable that mali'aheral find themselves so willing to wander from place to place without regard for the impact it might have on society as a whole. As a consequence, it is mali'aheral who must Application of Elnarn'cinh Name: Age: Time in Haelun'or: Purpose of Departure: [Nothing that it is unlikely an application with insufficient justification shall find any modicum of acceptance]. Are you a Citizen of Haelun'or Proper? How long haev you been a Denizen of Haelun'or? Applicants are reminded that approval of the Application of Elnarn'cinh merely makes them eligible for appeal, known as San'narne to the Tilruir'mali— Approval of both the Application of Elnarn'cinh and San'narne grant an individual permission to live beyond the walls of Haelun'or Proper while also being a Citizen of Haelun'or. Should one which to reside elsewhere, for example Fi'Ceru— for which this process was designed— one must also undergo the Statement of Intent of Lin with the Turr'sair. If all three above applications are approved, Denizenry in Fi'Ceru is granted. — Migration must be Strictly Managed!
  17. And so the mali’aheral ventured out from their Blessed Capital, seeking to forge what had been lost nearly a century and a half ago— a second settlement for the mali’aheral. A home in a world that in the eyes of its creators had gone mad, outwardly accepting people with open arms, and watching inwardly even those it trusts with suspicious eyes. A settlement upon these perilous islands shall be forged; a city Wrought from Silver. Fi’Ceru It is the Settlement of Fi’Ceru which follows all laws of Blessed Haelun’or including but not limited to the “Path to Purity”, “The Dichotomy of Lewdness” and “Ellir Reform”. The tenants upon which it is founded find themselves listed below. -The Forging of a Sister City The mali’aheral, upon the embarkation of forging a new settlement do offer it, and its inhabitants, full protection under the Law of Haelun’or. Offering all mali and pure mali’aheral, and other accepted races, the rights they would be afforded in Blessed Haelun’or proper. -Sanctuary upon this Isle The mali’aheral recognize the plight of the other races of the realm to find sanctuary from the chaos and malevolent forces which plague the realm. As a consequence, all elves, with the obvious exception of the impure, find themselves welcome in Fi’Ceru and behind its Wrought Silver Walls. The acceptance of half-breeds and of non-elf races requires approval from the Silver Council of Haelun’or, herein the Heial’thilln. The acceptance of humans merely requires the permission of the Turr'sair. -The Wrought Council The mali’aheral understand the necessity for the settlement to govern itself in part, and pass laws and regulations as is necessary for a living-space so vastly different from the Blessed City of Silver. The city shall be governed by the Turr'sair who, in turn, is advised by two Mali'ikurn. -A Cautious Eye The risk of permitting non-mali’aheral into Haelun’or is not lost upon the Blessed Children of Silver. As a consequence the Hieal’ikru and Hieal’thilln hold broad authority in population management, ethnic quotas and other regulatory measures. -The Shimmering Vision The terms “Denizen of Fi’Ceru” and “Citizen of Haelun’or” are two mutually exclusive terms. The former refering merely to an individual permitted only to live within the Settlement of Fi’Ceru. It is only pure mali’aheral who have passed the Citizenship Requirements of Haelun’or, as outlined in the Ellir Reform, who may vote in elections as mali’aheral (A "Citizen f Haelun'or Proper")— and who may move to Haelun’or proper as desired. It is noted only a “Denizen of Haelun’or Proper” may be a Tilruir, with the exception of the Turr'sair who is counted as a "Denizen of Haelun'or Proper" unlike all other Fi'Ceru citizens. -The Silver Standard Upheld It is recognized that while Fi’Ceru is, undoubtably, a city of Haelun’or— it is improper for mali’aheral to migrate between cities upon a whim. Thusly, only mali’aheral approved by the Heial’thilln, via their representative the Turr'sair may migrate from Haelun’or proper into the Settlement of Fi’Ceru.
  18. The more you grow up, the more I like you.
  19. With the construction of Fi'Ceru coming to a close, the supplies draw thin with which the city may be forged. As a consequence donations are once again sought out, this time in the form of; Turquoise WoolBlue WoolOak (Logs, Slabs and Stairs)Birch (Stairs and Slabs)Blue GlassLight Grey Stained Glassmaehr'sae hiylun'ehya
