A glitch I found is that when your smelting cobble you have to be 1 block away to smelt it successesfuly. If you are not 1 block away the furnace will just use up the coal and not smelt anything

It can kinda go both ways for me on one hand I want to see it restored but on the other I think you could add a few quests out of it. So I guess I gonna vote for yes
