Columbo Kristov runs through the streets of Petrus, making a cacophonous clamor and getting the attention of most all the city's residents. Before long he is standing on the stairs before the keep with a large crowd attending him, eager to hear what his commotion is about.
"Privej! I have made a discovery of monolithic proportions! I have walked to the edge of the world and seen that it is flat! Hark that we were wrong in our precedents, for I tell you now that the sea pours over the edge of the land not unlike your own fountain!"
The assembled mass collectively rears their heads back in laughter at what could only be such an erroneous conjecture. Some of the Petrusians begin shouting jeers at him, others leave in frustration with such an insipid proclamation. It comes to pass, however, that within the hour Columbo Kristov's clothes exhibit a wide and colorful assortment of the market's rotten food and he returns home, dejected. Truly, a fool for even suggesting such an inane concept!
or is it???
