https://youtu.be/yEEf0GwE_uQ Far away and in a milder climate, a raven-haired woman lies in a field, enjoying a sunbath with an orange tabby curled on her stomach. Both of their forms rise and fall softly in breathing, and every once in a while they are overshadowed by a passing cloud or swift messenger bird. The woman's arms lay spread out in the grass, quiet aside from the occasional snore.
Some days were worse than others, though. For years she'd stayed in the Caliphate, only coming out of her home to fish or buy fresh produce. Sometimes the woman had wondered if she simply wasn't cut out for raising a family, or perhaps something- Or someone, was trying to show her the way.
In the end, she wasn't the brightest woman. She'd decided it was best if she simply kept going as usual.
Ellian never really did find out if that was the best solution, but at the same time she was far too stubborn to care. One day she'd have a 'normal' family, even if that day was not today. So for now the tabby, her husband and her profession was her family; and Ellian was okay with that.
