  3. "How exciting and progressive!" Remarked a young high elf reading the missive from his newly furnished home in Haelunor.
  4. An Alchemist runs to the curb of his castle to see if the trash carriage came by yet after he threw out his 21 bottles of Null Arcana. He curses, for they had already taken the trash to the dump.

Very subtle, and now you expect that people will go through your old posts and give you more rep, right? Wrong. I’m actually going to go through your forum posts and see if I have repped any… and if so… I’ll unrep all of them.

  9. Many copies of a missive have been made using what seemed to be perhaps a printing press. Throughout Aevos a missive is put up to the public. "Hunters of the Dark Beware: Evil Voidal Mages are seeking to rip open yet another tear in association to the evil wretches in the north. The location of the project is unknown but keep an eye out. A copy of a note obtained from Arthur: The following individuals have been traveling City to City looking for 'Masterful Void Mages' to rip open a tear: Gwen of Celianor one of their ranking Guards A Musin calling themselves ''The Wise Old Rat'' Arthur of the Xionists, also known as Marcus in a different disguise A warning to Voidal Mages who wish to assist in any project to tear sunder the veil. We will find you and we won't kill you. We will make you wish you were killed." The Missive was signed with a red wax stamp
  10. Everyone dogging on @PCSwift just cause its swift but he's actually giving a decent take out and posting it despite knowing nothing will change. It is a problem, and I don't think much will ever change unfortunately. @ScreamingDingo made a big post on it and while some of it were takes, I disagreed with a lot of it were genuine issues in regards of quality of roleplay vs "its just a game" mentality and it was unfortunate nothing will ever be done to enforce that "roleplay quality standards" telanir harped on about all those years ago. also I (HATE!!!!) werewolf and even he made some solid points.
  11. I'm going to miss getting random cookies. :/ Rest in Peace.
  12. Shadow buff for alchemy what is this powercreep agenda :/
  13. Across Aevos in various cities a simple parchment was pinned up written upon it in big letters: "Looking for work! I am a young Mali Apprentice in the art of Magic looking for work. I am currently learning how to create magical items and how to manipulate the world around with magic which may be quite useful! I do not ask for much but a purpose. If you are interested in hiring me, pray send me a letter!" -Cihn'ibar (CatEvocation)
  14. "Ah guess this es' what happens when ye' don't grow up with war." Muttered an old veteran, peering over the missive.
  15. The Order of Helwyr Writings and Records by Briar O’Dan Helwyr: Masters of the Hunt While many renditions of Hunters have been written about in the annals of history, the Heliwr was forged as a condonement of the aether and mundane utilizing an ancient Rite. These are hunters who have undergone rigorous mental and martial training, time-consuming mentorship to study and defend against the arcane fields and have developed a reliable foundation of alchemical knowledge. Those who master the hunt pledge their learned skills to the destruction of the Occult and Evil. They take a sacred oath to defend those who cannot defend themselves and travel the land in search of hunts until their time comes. To die in this endeavor is an honor. The path to becoming a heliwr is one filled with a rigorous training regimen and specific tasks known as Trials, meant to be accomplished over a multitude of years. Alcemyddion: Masters of Elixirs Alchemy is an ancient art that predates even the creation of Helwyr as a whole. Often employed by the likes of scholars and Monster Hunters of yore, it has a variety of uses in the field and everyday life. All Helwyr will learn about Alchemy during their Trial of Ink but few learn how to brew such elixirs themselves. Those that do will be named as an Alcemydd- a master of potions who can help to keep the Order stocked, or sling such tinctures over the field to defend their fellow Helwyr. Mastering alchemy is a feat that takes many years and often not something that a heliwr has time to do, so to become one of the few Alcemyddion is valuable to the order. The Eternal Hunt As the Helwyr embark on their hunts, they understand that their work will never be truly finished – they believe new threats are bound to emerge in an ever-evolving world. The Eternal Hunt is only over when the Hunter finally meets their match and falls in battle. This is a concept often taught during the Trial of Ink. The Eternal Hunt instills every Helwyr with the ideology that true strength lies in an endless quest for greater adversaries. With every completed hunt symbolizing not only a battle against monstrous foes and the evils that plague society, but also a journey made to confront personal fears and doubts. How to Contact The Order has situated itself into the cliff sides of the Petran Fjord. If you are interested in contacting the Order for service or otherwise you may leave a letter in the drop box or write to the post office of Chambery. Send letters to Briar, Lothric or Aegwynn (CatEvocation, Keening or Deer__)
  16. Thank the creator some jerk malflamed my cat and it won't stop meowing since
  17. TheDesnkan, Cloud in a Bottle The concept was originally created by Helwyr who were troubled with mundane ear plugs not working sufficiently enough for hunts that included creatures that made high pitched noises for defense or against the occult with spells that blast loud sound. A bottle of Sound Stopper has the capability of either being consumed or turned into an area of effect version. Helwyr Bottle O' Silence - T3 ST - Rare The Elixir is a cloudy white semi-transparent liquid. It looks like it has clouds floating in the elixir and it absorbs sound on its own, it unfortunately cannot be treated into anything. The process was rather simple: Bring Distilled water to a rumbling boil and then deposit the reagents in saving silence for last. Cool and bottle. Upon consumption the potion will cause the user's ears to experience high pressure. The pressure closes the ear canal causing pure total deafness for 10 emotes or 1 narrative hour outside of combat. The high pressure can be distracting for Mages who are not mastered in their art, causing concentration-based connections to falter unless they are masterful in their magic. While communication may become incredibly more difficult this renders the user immune to sound based effects and magics. Bottle Of Silence Recipe: PER BOTTLE: Base: Distilled Water Air: Silence x6 Air: Grace x2 Mundane: Peace 2x Helwyr Cloud O' Silence - T3 ST - Rare If the alternative recipe is done to create Hewlyr Cloud of Silence then they would create a bottle that looked as if it had several clouds floating around with no liquid inside. This is created by bringing the Distilled water to a boil and adding all of the reagents saving silence for last and then allowing the mixture to boil while its vapors were caught in a bottle clasped above, and then corked and sealed to be airtight. The airtight bottle then may either have its seal broken to have its effect happen in the area directly around the user or thrown and upon impact and breaking having the effect happen where it lands. At the place it opens or breaks a semi-transparent fog like cloud will erupt starting at 3x3x3 for the first emote and then 5x5x5 for the second until it vanishes on the 4th emote. Those caught in the fog are unable to hear anything at all rendering sound based attacks and abilities null, including anything that has a verbal component. Cloud Of Silence Recipe: PER BOTTLE: Base: Distilled Water Air: Silence x6 Air: Grace x2 Mundane: Peace 2x Added to Stabilize the cloud: 2x Connection 1x Order Redlines: Sound based attacks, spells and abilities will not work on those who are in the cloud of silence or who are under the effect of a bottle of silence regardless of it being natural or magical. Those in the Cloud of Silence are incapable of using any magic that has verbal components while inside the cloud. This potion cannot be treated onto material. The cloud does not cause any irritation, and it does not interrupt any breathing. It may be dispersed by natural or magical means of causing a large gust of air or with an air purifier. The consumed version lasts 10 emotes. If you use a focus-based magic (i.e void magic for example) you cannot retain your focus unless you are masterful in the art (T5 Void Magic for example). The cloud version lasts 4 emotes and it does not cause the pressure effect on the ears that the consumed version does. These require ST Approval. Must be taught in character by someone who knows the recipe.
