Private servers are cool, sure, but it's nothing like the real thing. It's likely going to have a buttload of glitches, zones that don't work, server issues, all that jazz. Plus the community is not nearly as large and generally not as nice. Plus the legality is questionable if the server doesn't pay Blizzard to be using their game. But I mean, you're getting what you're paying for (free), so it's kind of to be expected, I guess.

Hey guys, Deckolo here. You guys may or may not have heard, but I'm the manager in charge of social media use and advertisement now, and I've got a little project that everyone can help out with! Basically, I just need some screenshots from you guys for myself and the other advertising guys to use in our ads. Nice texture packs and shaders are nice, but some screenies without them are always welcome as well! What I am looking for: Pictures of wars or battles either before or during the action. Pictures of cool builds and/or landscapes that could really get people hooked. Pictures of large groups of people participating in roleplay. No chat visible please. No HUD or playernames shown in the screenshot, please. Shaders are optional; I need some pictures with and some without shaders, so just give me what you have. Only give me the pictures that you like the best please. No photo dumps, and try to keep it streamlined to only a few. Thanks so much guys! -Deckolo

tbh i feel like there is little reason to need to know who people around you are ooc. if anything it can boost immersion. and it's not that hard to just say /msg bigdaddymcfatstacks "hey who were you before the name change?"
