Then on his way out he reads the notice board, and seeing they were moving, goes back and grabs the note. He then disposes of it and returns to his never ending fight of trying to get into uniform.

Roq goes outside to pick the crops so he could prepare dinner. However, as he tries to pick them, he finds that a powerful ward stops him from doing so. He has noticed this before, trying to use the oven or store his items in a chest. Rather frustrated Roq goes up to Polgrath's office, and seeing he is not in, leaves a note asking Polgrath to dispell the ward for him.

This sounds like a great idea to keep contraband items out of the hands of idiots.
