Calling The Goblin Horde!
hellfiazz replied to ToenailTickler's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Buubztik reads the poster whilst juggling goblins, and then drops them after finishing. They then run up to him and kick his shins, and he just makes a swish of air with his arm that sends them all flying. The moral of the story is goblins < uruks/ologs. -
No Country For Old Orcs.
hellfiazz replied to Goldrim's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Buubztik laughs at old dead orcs being all sad that they are stuck in the Spirit Realm and can't fight. Buubztik then goes back to fighting Antagonists because he's so dishonourable and whitewash. -

Gothic Tribe of Greenland With the new colony of Nyhavn, the High Gothi decided that the tribe's name had become somewhat defunct. After discussing the matter with the head Gothi of the other temples, it is decided the tribe be renamed to the Gothic Tribe of Greenland. And with the docks at Nyhavn complete, and the Icelandic Queen's agreement to the trade deal, Gothic iron begins being sent to the Icelandic ports. In return for the iron, coal is sent back to Nyhavn, and from there, most is sent to Nuuk. Soon, traders on both sides begin recognising the new markets, and trade vessels become a more common sight in the Denmark strait. As well as this, the invitation to invade the land of "Europe", as the Icelandic queen had called it, certainly piqued the interest of the High Gothi. Sending word he would have an attack fleet ready within a year and a half, the High Gothi orders the expansion of the fleet. The additions include: 3 Soknbatrs 10 Skeids 15 Snekkjas The new fleet alone will be able to carry a total of 1700 men, and will be ready within the year and a half, as promised. ((9 pages)) These additions would put the Gothic war fleet at the following levels: 4 Soknbatrs 18 Skeids 24 Snekkjas Therefore, the total troop capacity of the Gothic war fleet would be around 2800 men, however around 100 of these would most likely remain behind on the Soknbatrs in order to use the cannon weaponry.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk With the Soknbatr built, two small wooden longboats are built, and are pushed out into the Nuuk bay. Then, the Soknbatr is taken out, and the cannons loaded. The cannons are tested on one of the longboats, and the results were devastating. The initial broadside crippled the vessel, and a test of the frontal cannons finished it off. The second test subject is first shot with the frontal cannon, and then rammed, to simulate a pursuit. Again, the results were tremendously successful, the other ship being broken into two halves due to the sheer force of the Soknbatr's ram. The Soknbatr then redocks in the harbour of Nuuk, and awaits further instructions. Meanwhile, the colonists arrive at their location, which they have taken to calling Nyhavn. They first construct the housing for the colonists, as well as basic utilities such as a lumber camp, and a small farm to provide the settlers with food. After these are built, those who are not farming or cutting wood begin constructing the port, which is expected to take several months to be operational. ((3 pages)) A message is delivered to the Gothi in Iceland, giving them instructions from the High Gothi himself. The Gothi request audience with the Icelandic Queen, and then make their request. With the spread of Gothicism appearing to take a hold, the Gothi ask that a trade agreement be made between the two tribes, and inform them of the settlement of Nyhavn that is in construction.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk With the shrine completed, the Gothi hoped that the conversion would speed up with a visual reminder of the greatness of the Gothic gods. The shrine itself depicts Kesuroth slaying a demon that sought to corrupt the minds of men. Back in Nuuk, the colonisation expedition begins it's journey towards it's destination. The aim is to construct a small trading port that will allow the Greenlanders to trade with the Icelanders, as well as providing a launching point to Europe should the time come. They are expected to arrive in 2 months or so. ((1 page))

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk When the Gothi arrived in Iceland, they immediately sought our for their brother who remained behind. It did not take long to find him, with the news of the Gothi preaching spreading rather fast in Iceland's capital. After finding him, they consulted him, and learnt the Icelandic language and of the culture. Using this information, they formulated the best way to approach the conversion, and then head out to put this strategy in place. One Gothi and several of the Gothic sailors took the building supplies they had brought to a central and highly visible location in the city, and began the construction of the shrine to Kesuroth, which will be completed in just over a month. ((1 page)) Another Gothi is temporary pulled from the group by the Icelandic queen herself. When asked to bless the weapons of Iceland, and remove any taint from demons, he is all too happy to oblige, glad that the Icelandic leadership saw the need to protect against such things. He goes through each and every piece of weaponry that the Icelandic military fielded, from guns to their metal boats, performing the ritual of cleansing on each one. After his task is completed, he returns to the city to aid the conversion of the populace. Meanwhile, a colonisation expedition is prepared, with about 200 men and women being chosen, and 4 Skeids being specially reserved for them. They pack both building supplies for a small port and the tools to create their own supplies once they arrive at the location, which will be where the two islands of Greenland and Iceland are closest. The expedition will be ready to depart in a couple of months. ((1 page))

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk After speaking with the Icelandic Queen, most of the Gothi head back, with one remaining behind, along with ten or so of the sailors, to spread the Gothic Faith, and learn more about the language and society of the Icelandic peoples. The rest of the party arrive back in Nuuk, and inform the High Gothi and the head Gothi of the other temples of their findings, of the Horned Men of Iceland, showing them the distance on the created map of the south of Greenland and the newly discovered Iceland. The High Gothi, after convening with his contemporaries, decide upon creating an expedition to Iceland with the sole purpose of converting it's populace, before any agreements were made with the tribe. They couldn't be seen by the gods to be conspiring with heretics and heathens, after all. Each of the temples' second-in-commands are chosen to be sent, along with building supplies for a decent sized shrine to Kesuroth, and accompanied by an honour guard of 25 of the best warriors that Nuuk had to offer. The "crusade" is prepared and sets off, and will arrive in Iceland in approximately 4 months. ((2 pages)) On a more domestic matter, a portion of the expanded port is reserved for a project conducted by the Blacksmiths of Bregthor. The creation of a steel-clad longboat, fitted with 8 cannons (3 per broadside, 1 rear, 1 front), and much larger than even a Skeid at around 50 metres long, begins. It is estimated that this new type of ship, called the Soknbatr, will take at least a year to complete. ((6 pages))

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk With the Icelandic camp in site as the Gothi sailors neared, the initial reaction was that of curiosity. However, as they got closer, the sailors became increasingly worried, due to the smoke rising from strange pillars of metal on the ships. The Gothi assured them that demons could not intervene in this world so directly. Still, if they weren't demons, then the only other explanation was people, something that made both exceptionally inquisitive, and more subtly anxious. They made landfall some 800 metres West of the Icelandic camp. The sailors marched openly towards the encampment, with the Gothi at the helm of the band. As the distance decreased, the band could hear the jeers and shouts from the camp, and although they didn't recognise the tongue, the jolliness of their tone soothed them a little. The cartographer, one of the few men who could actually use a scribing tool in the party, was called to the front of the party beside the Gothi, and the whole band stopped as they stood before the camp. They began using the paper and quills to try and communicate with the new people, who looked quite similar to themselves, indicating their point of origin and asking for their own. This exchange of pictures continued for a while, and after not too long each tribe discovered they had more similarities than differences, at least in culture. Soon, after convening, the Gothi determined that the new tribe was suitable for the Gothic Faith. They questioned the new tribe on their current religion, and afterwards, the Gothi began preaching their own, asking if there were any willing to relinquish their old faith, and see the truth and divinity of Gothicism. Meanwhile, back at home, the smaller harvest reared it's ugly head. The High Gothi ordered that 1/5 of all food produced be put in preserved storage, and that the remainder would be kept track of as it was handed out, so that no more was consumed than was available.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk With the ships and explorers ready for their journey, they set off down South along the coast. On their journey, they constantly map out the coast as they sail past it. Within a few months, they will be within sight of the Icelandic ships. ((1 page)) Meanwhile, the dock begins expansion to allow for a great capacity of ships to be held, which for now would accommodate for a greater fishing fleet. ((6 pages))

(( Ignore this. Akanar, Goddess of the Sea. Bregthor, God of the Earth. Selkar, God of the Sun. Furna, Goddess of the Moon. Kesuroth, God of Heaven and the Air. Ignore this)) Gothic Tribe of Nuuk The High Gothi Vidar stood on a balcony in the very top of Temple of Kesuroth, which acted as both a place of worship and his office of governance, and was also the largest building in all of Nuuk. He observed the tribe before him, thinking on how he could better it. He turned back into his office, and got to work. He first ordered the expansion of the town's farms. The demand for food was getting rather high, and was a problem that needed addressing quickly. The expansion will allow for an extra 1,000 mouths to be fed, allowing a total of 8,000 people in Nuuk, but until that time it would make sure that there was a surplus of food as security. ((4 pages)) Next, he ordered the creation of another iron mine, along with a quarry. As the population grew, that town most grow with it, and for that, resources are needed. ((6 pages)) Meanwhile, a band of roughly 100 men come before the Temple of Akanar, and ask the Gothi there for a blessing in one of their planned endeavours. They seek to sail around the land that Nuuk is on, heading along the south coast, and map it out. They are granted the use of 2 longboats, and a Gothi from each of the temples is sent with them. It will take a couple of months to prepare for the trip before it can begin. ((1 page))

After having Krul, his goblin servant read the letter to him, Buubztik begins writing a reply. He smears his butt-cheeks with ink, and presses it against the parchment. Each cheek is then inscribed with a depiction of a raised middle finger from a fist, and the letter is sent to Dreek.
