Back in the days (irl), you weren't supposed to shoot someone who was unarmed. (Y'know, cowboy codes.)
There should be a rp law (not a server rule) that basically says "You can't attack someone who isn't armed."
armedärmd/adjective-
1.equipped with or carrying a weapon or weapons."the security forces are armed with automatic rifles"
weap·onˈwepən/noun-
a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.
Now, unless I'm gonna use a wooden hoe to defend myself- I'm not really armed. A hoe isn't a thing designed to inflict bodily harm or physical damage unless I give it that purpose. (IE: Bashing your head in with a hoe would make the hoe a weapon... but if I'm carrying a sword that is stone, iron, or any material except wood..- now the sword is a weapon because it was designed specifically to inflict damage.)
Now I'm not saying that it should be enforced to the point of calling for a gm. I'm saying it should be one of those code of conduct laws.
Like how a knight should follow chivalry, or a king should follow comitatus, or how a proper lady shouldn't be showing shoulders- That kind of stuff. Another example would be shooting someone in the back.
+1 if you think I should expand on this.
-
Someone +1'd me, so I'll expand.
People that would be exempt from this code of conduct would basically be like, orcs, or highway robbers, or villains. Of course, villains and robbers-- upon capture-- have a higher chance of receiving a harsher punishment.
Weapons: A sword that's made out of anything but wood, pikes, or lances.
Ranged weapons count if it's like a snipe attempt, but like- they can't do much damage rply when it's like a upclose. That's like trying to knock someone out with a punch from an inch away.

Can we have a dislike button that just doesn't do anything.
I know there's some posts I'd like to 'dislike'

Well I'm thinking like this.. Dislike button, doesn't affect reputation, and you must give a reason for why you've disliked it. And if your reason is complete bullcrap- it won't be listed as a dislike :>
There is always a chance that someone is ganging up on one person, no matter what we do- there will always be an attacking.
You don't even NEED a dislike button to attack someone's post, you can put/say a -1 in your post. Yet, that would be more visible than an anonymous down button.
I didn't say we have to have one, I just thought it was cool.

Is anyone who is an Atronach-- do you guys have pictures of your characters? I kind of want to design my own so I can be ready when someone decides to build me.
-
I have played an Atronach for awhile now, fun stuff.

We better not be switching to 1.12.2.
I can see upgrading every few versions, unless it's a major one like baby parrots or double saddles or what not.
1.12.1 was just adding staff credits and removing the phrase "Better than Prey!" from the title screen.

Mojang puts out these version changes not to add features - their next feature patch will be 1.13 - but they put them out when major vulnerabilities or glitches are reported to them so much so that they have to put out a non-backwards compatible version, which they do not like doing. The 1.12.1 update fixed a glitch where you could duplicate any item in the game VIA vanilla MC, anything from diamond blocks to diamond armor to dragonscale. We update because we don't want to expose our community to these issues, while Forge mods are used by a large portion of the community they are secondary in this capacity.

Yes, I read over most of the changes. I agree with changing up versions for reason such as security against cheating and hacking. After I posted, I went to read through the full extend of the changes. Yet with 1.12.2 I thought it was a little funny about getting stuck in grass.
Alas though, I'm trying to read the security update for 1.12.2 but I forgot what my JIRA log in was so- if you happen to have one- if you could tell me what the MC-120567
Sometimes I read so fast that it skipped over a couple of sentences. I can't believe hoppers duplicate items.
The only thing I remember a hopper being good for is storing stuff when it's part of a lamppost.

I see little swirly particles coming from one of my characters. What this mean?
-
Please don't tell me the server is down this early... I need my LOTC fill before I head off to volunteer.
-
I want to get a mini-map, but.. Is there a certain mod of mini-map that is allowed on the server?
-
How to set up signature?
-
I feel like making a space version of LOTC.. Reply if you want to help.
Must be alright with skype calls.
Thinking about using GalactiCraft.
I only need builders for right now.
