He rubs it away and descends the stairs into the kitchen. Little did he know this day would be... similar to all the others. He gets up, eats breakfast, and goes out to his small dock and fishes until dusk. This cycle goes ever on... and on... and on... until! He decides to change that. But, that doesn't happen today, or tomorrow or the next day. Mostly because he's too afraid. Through years of social anguish and torment because of his cross in parentage. Andrew, looking more human than elf, was pleasing to the eyes, but many shy away because of what he is- Half-Elf. His parents acted out of haste and misjudgment. Blowing aside the advice of their friend, the church, and common sense, Andrew was born with his twin Aifric. He two is cursed to walk the land a halfbreed, but they try to make the best of it. Biography: Andrew's story is a brief one to tell. It starts 19 elven years ago when he and his brother Aifric were born. Their features are pointed like their mother's, for she is Mali. Yet their ears remain rounded, for their father is Valah. Andrew perhaps, for his name is more human, has suffered less than his brother. Each day there is someone who looks at the pair with a disdainful eye or mutters a rude comment to a friend near by. When he reaches his home in Salvus, however, the hate is curbed by the care and affection of their family. Recently, though he remains a child in elven eyes, Andrew has enlisted with the Oren military to help in the war effort against the dwarfish and snow elf effort against Oren and their allies. In the battle just passed, a ship to ship engagement, Andrew fought against many more seasoned and powerful. He watched the elves whirl and stab with the elegance of their race, and the humans, plus the orcs, crush and slam with mighty blows. When the dust settled and Oren emerged victorious, Andrew's gait gained a confident attitude, he had survived. I remember times when I would climb the massive trees that were all around our city and play games with my friends. I can remember my parents and how they loved me so much. They were so proud to have a child, probably prouder that I am a boy. Then in a flash of flame and vicious war cries all of that ended. Our great city fell to the attacks of the Black Scourge. The fight was catastrophic. Many lie dead with even more wounded lying in the street. My parents were among the dead...
