HOUSE GRIMLEE
AN INTRODUCTION
"Trained from birth,
The deadliest of warriors.
Humble in victory,
The closest of families."
Baldur Grimlee
WELCOME TO the fiercest house in Norland.
While other houses fight only when necessary, House Grimlee members are trained to wield a sword from birth, with the three brothers: Uther, Asmund and Hakon being perfect examples of this,
with the oldest brother Uther receiving the hatchet of Hakon Ruric for his service to the family.
Being the most grounded of all the houses, House Grimlee equates to the element earth, thus why the colours green and brown and worn upon their tabard and coat of arms.
With family being key to House Grimlee life, it is no surprise that members teach each other key skills, such as fighting from a young age; just as Balder Grimlee did.
House Grimlee's three brothers each have a reputation of their own. Uther Grimlee is known as "The Bloody" due to high numbers of people he slaughters in battle.
Asmund Grimlee is known as "The Steadfast" for his undying devotion to his family and the kingdom of Norland.
And Hakon Grimlee is known as "The Honourable" since they never declined an offer to duel.
HOUSE FOUNDER BALDER GRIMLEE
A man who devoted and sacrificed his life for the greater good of Norland. Loyal and Fierce. Balder Grimlee was the first of his name, and father to the three brothers.
He spent his life perfecting the art of fighting, before teaching all he knew to his children with the results clearly showcased at every battle. Ages ago he lost his wife, bravely fighting against the dwarven forces.
Until he too lost his life, defending his homeland from dwarven forces. The story goes that at the time Balder lost his life, the three brothers were relentlessly training and perfecting the very skills he had taught them.
HOUSE RELICS
As of the reformation of The Grand Harvest, 1620, the House Relic collection was emptied, to be filled once more by the next generation.
In the current collection there are:
"Skofnung"
The Hatchet of Hakon Ruric, a gift given to him when he was dubbed "The Shipwright" by John Horen I.
HOUSE LIVERY
House Grimlee's heraldic beast is the bull, a creature that both works the fields, yet symbolises bravery. It is passive unless aggravated, but is able to defend itself if needed. Just like the characteristics of House Grimlee. The house colours are the colours of the earth, brown and green.
