Remove the iron bars line, at least? Why would iron bars be as easy to break as a door and easier to break than any block not listed on that list (which includes WOOD)?

I know it was a community decision, and their reasoning was ultimately "muh anachronistic fantasy aesthetics".

Tech level is all over the place on LotC and they have made it quite clear that what they really care about is arbitrary fantasy aesthetics they imagine and not combatting anachronism or discouraging powergaming. Makes tinkering rp pretty ******* hard, by the ******* way. I have no ******* idea what I'm allowed to make or not even among the things I can mechanically create.

Would people powergame? Yeah, but if that's gonna be your excuse, there are swaths of lore you need to take a hard goddamn look at.

Vincent Price did a lecture in Elmherst College about villains that really explains the point of villains in writing and acting. I really recommend listening for anyone who wants to get a solid understanding of a villain, and if you are a fan of Vincent Price at all like I am it's just great to hear about his life and perspective on acting.

(It's in two parts but both parts are listed as part 2 for some reason, and it's not even the whole one. :/ He gave the lecture several times, though, and I heard a full recording before, I just can't find it.)

More roleplay options in general might be nice. As much as people poke fun of it, the tea parties are pretty inclusive to helf RP.

My pure helf had difficulty getting along in helfia, to be honest, mostly because there was nothing for him to do.  We was a cowardly scholar with no real interest in politics, which pretty much destroys the two main avenues of helvan RP. If there was more focus on intellectualism and academic RP, I'd perhaps un-shelf the helf.

I'd recommend against testing it against a calldown. Super-heated air and stuff, nevermind that the sheer joules probably would be enough to cook you in that metal on its own.

The prefix "tali" ("part of") is sometimes used as one uses "mali" to indicate half. Sometimes people also mesh the words if it simply sounds type or pleasing as well (Aiantas, for instance, sometimes is referred to as a "qali'ame", since his mother was qalasheen and his father was mali'ame. However, this word isn't really lore-following and is mostly used in OOC.)
