Her father being a wealthy merchant in Courland and her mother being a tailor in Salvus. Audra learned whatever she could from her father when he was not on business such as managing money and haggling. Her mother taught her how to sow and prepare clothing. As her father's wealth grew and grew, he became a target for the desperate and the destitute. Audra recalls sitting with her mother worrying about her father, until a courier handed her mother a letter saying that her father was murdered on the way to Istria. Her mother fell into a bottomless depression losing her husband, then one day when Audra returned from buying groceries she found her mother's lifeless body by the fireplace. Devastated, losing her parents she began to think about how she would have to support herself. When she was old enough she decided to take action and gathered all her things and decided to head out. Knowing she nothing but, her wits and what she carried with her she wanted to make a name for herself. She began to work in manual labor on farms near Courland, taking any job to support herself and her ambition to become someone. After working and saving up any coin she hitched a ride onto a wagon and just explored the world around her. She made it to Felsen where she decided that she will try to support life there.
