  1. When Dimitri heard of the death of Amaya he fell to his knees, the missive in hand, the cane used to support him clattering to the wooden floor of his office. After the great success of the Haense carnival he had carried her to her bed in the clinic, made her comfortable, kissed her on the forehead before departing as she had wished him to do.

He owed his very life to her, the life he has built, the kids he has fathered are all because she came to save his life when others would have left him to die. Amaya had been there for him in every meaningful moment of his life, from the death of his mother, to his wedding. He so desperately wanted to show his children to her but never got the chance, and now never will…

For once, Dimitri was at a loss for words as his tears began to fall onto the missive he stared at, deeply hoping the words were not true. This is a loss that will stay with him, but he knows she is at rest now, and that his mother will welcome her into the seven skies.

I shall begin my writings by paying respect to the late Vicente Murietta II. He held unwavering loyalty to the Sovereign State of Hyspia, not just to one leader, and always showed bravery in the battles I had the honour to fight at his side in. He had a passion for the history of Hyspia and was very close with mine and Ramona’s children. His loss will be felt for many years.

May he find peace in the Seven Skies.

    The Happenings of the Meeting

The meeting begins with Cesar laying down the scroll on which the agreement has been written.

Aleksandr has some problems with the alliance but knows a way for those concerns to be remedied. The knight flanking him rested his hand on the pommel of his blade then. Quickly followed by our own guards.

He has concerns with the popularity of Cesar’s reign within Hyspia. That being given independence would lead to our opposition to swoop in and attack Hyspia to remove Cesar from leadership. Cesar doesn’t understand his popularity within the Covenant is being questioned, not just his popularity with the orcs. Aleksandr points this out very clearly, looking between Ramona and Cesar, implying he wants Ramona to take over Hyspia to ensure Hyspia stands tall.

Aleksandr II: “I fear vy will niet uphold that popularity.”

Cesar states that he wants independence to be the final thing he does as the Viceroy of Hyspia.

Aleksandr points out that no kingdoms want to rally to save a nation headed by Cesar, “Hyspia as a sovereign state is difficult in the eyes of many to answer the rallying call for”, then suggests that Cesar abdicate, stating his promise of sovereignty will be fulfilled only after Cesar stands down. He also states that Cesar’s reputation for what he has done so far in his reign, likely during the war, will be enough to seal his name in history.

This creates tension throughout the meeting room.

Vicente Murietta wants to speak, Aleksandr shuts it down, stating “Vy would speak before vyr Viceroy?”

Cesar states he still has much he wants to do before he abdicates the throne for Ramona. He wants this independence to be solidified before Ramona takes the throne.

Aleksandr says his agreement to give Hyspia independence won’t go ahead until Cesar backs down so he will give him time to complete what he wants before another meeting is set to hand over independence.

Vicente questions why the agreement should be delayed. He doesn’t understand why the abdication should be hurried along.

Arman states independence should be the most important goal here. “Independence must be the most important goal, padre.”

Aleksandr states that if abdication can’t be hurried, independence shouldn’t be either.

Vicente quips back with “Then abdicate too.” - “You want new blood? Abdicate at the same time.” This is heavily disliked by the Haense party, “Who is this man?”, one of the Haense knights questions.

Ramona breaks her silence to ask what plans are left for Cesar. Independence was his goal. “What plans are there left? - This was the plan, Independence for our people. Independence is to be seen as a serious nation of people. No longer to be overshadowed by our allies.”

Aleksandr says that for independence in Hyspia to flourish, the kingdom needs new blood. Ramona. “I'm saying that in order for the flourishment of independence I grant - new blood is needed.” He then goes on to state that allies only need to help Hyspia because of Haense, “If something were to happen to Hyspia now, many would be indebted to aid due to the Haeseni relations. Once these ties are severed between our nations, those once indebted no longer will be.”

Dear reader, this is entirely untrue. Hyspia holds its own defensive pacts with many other nations without the aid of Haense.

Vicente looks between Ramona and Aleksandr accusing them of conspiring against Cesar.

He then draws his blade stating he won’t let Hyspia be crushed by a Haenseni boot. “Conspirators.” - “I will not let the people of Hyspia be choked by a Haeseni boot!”

The Haensers also draw their blades.

Cesar tells all involved to stay calm, with Ramona explaining that she had no knowledge of Aleksandr’s plans.

Vicente backs into a corner, pointing a sword at the knights that approach him yelling Hyspanic. “¡Lamebotas Haeseni! ¡Regalas nuestro país!” (Translation: “Haeseni Bootlicker! “You give away our country!”)

“Good Godan.” is simply muttered by the King of Haense

“Vicente, sheath your blade before you lose another arm.” States Jose Fuentes.

“You selfish dog, don’t threaten me! All you care about is glory!” Spits Vicente.

Ramona tells Jose to duel Vincente outside, Vicente then lunged forward to stab Jose in the chest. “Death to you Imperialist dogs!”

The brown-haired knight states he wishes to duel Vicente to the death for threatening Aleksandr. “A man who draws a blade upon my king is a dead man already.”

Jose replies to the attack with, “For that, I sentence you to death.”

Cesar tries to calm the situation down, to no avail. “I died in the ramparts of breakwater.” Is the reply from Vicente. The brown-haired knight brings his hammer down onto the back of Vicente’s leg. The queen of Haense enters as Jose swings for Vicente’s throat. It makes contact, blood spilling from Vicente’s mouth, the Hyspian colonel falling limp to the ground, the sickening gargling of blood filling the chamber. Jose then twists his blade into the poor man’s neck, possibly ensuring the man was killed by the blow. A truly unnecessary death… I should note the honourable Patriarch Josef did plead for Vicente to simply be disarmed. This was blatantly ignored.

“You Let your man draw his blade on the king.” The red-haired knight addresses Cesar now. “Nie- nie!” Cries Aleksandr, still trying to defuse the situation, with the queen then asking why blades were drawn at the meeting in the first instance. She receives no reply.

Questions are fired across the room to ensure everyone is alright after that ordeal.

Cesar replies that he’s alright, stating the overreaction cost Vicente his life.

Jose cleans his sword on the dead colonel’s body, sheathing his sword with a quick apology and returning to guarding Ramona.

Cesar states he wishes to finish reforming the knight order and was going to abdicate two saints weeks after the signing of the independence treaty.

Ramona quickly replied that independence is what Cesar wanted, what Hyspia fought for. “Do you not care for Hyspia?”

The queen joins Aleksandr at his side.

Aleksandr leaves the decision between Ramona and Cesar, suggesting that Ramona could give Cesar a high position of power once she’s the leader of Hyspia, stating himself Cesar is good and smart but not popular. He states it isn’t his place to convince Hyspia one way or the other and has offered to leave the room for Hyspia to discuss.

Ramona says she wants her father to rest but will allow him to be on her council, but there is now a death in relation to this issue.

Cesar says he wants to talk with just his family.

Ramona doesn’t understand what is left to discuss.

Cesar states he was going to abdicate soon anyway so we should have talked with him if we wanted him to step down sooner. He believes that everyone here took a revolutionary approach. I find myself agreeing with this statement. Discussions could have, and should have, remained peaceful.

Arman points out Cesar dedicated his whole life to getting independence and if he was so willing to step down, why hasn’t he already? “If this is their non-negotiable, and you were already going to (abdicate), why not?”

Ramona echoes this, asking if Cesar thinks that Ramona isn’t capable which Arman states that is disrespectful to Ramona and that he’s denying the nation a great opportunity and the dignity to be independent.

Cesar states that he has been disrespected by not being left to do his final preparations and that he will sign the agreement, abdicate and leave Hyspia.

Ramona says she has always trusted her father and gave him complacency but there has been no change in Hyspia since the war came to an end and our people have fled in fear we cannot protect them. She states that Cesar always has a place in Hyspia but this is how change will be made “This is where it starts. Hyspia will live past us. I will ensure it.”

Cesar believes it is best to leave Hyspia entirely, and agrees that new blood is needed for Hyspia, hence why he was taking a step back. This contradicts his previous points that he was working very hard to get his projects in Hyspia done before he left.

He also doesn’t like how this agreement was forced upon him but he is too tired to argue against it, so he will leave to experience the world again.

The Haenseni party is allowed to re-enter the chamber and quickly does so.

Ramona states she has felt none of the so-called “stepping back”, but sees no reason to continue arguing, and is glad it reached a peaceful agreement.

Cesar simply states, “Let’s sign it then.”

The king re-enters with a “Hola.”

The clause of abdication is added to the independence agreement and Aleksandr says the agreement will be signed and published the following day. Cesar believes that it should be published this same day.

The document is finally signed by Cesar, Aleksandr and Ramona.

I shall note a final quote from the previous Viceroy, “For the future of Hyspia.”

To end, I will state that I held, and continue to hold, a great respect for Cesar. He welcomed me into the family De Pelear with open arms and served the realm with grace, bravery, and most importantly, loyalty. He may have made mistakes or became disliked, but all leaders face the same treatment, no matter their achievements. Myself and Ramona will take upon the mantle, and shall lead Hyspia into an even brighter future, to match the sun that graces our lands.

  3. Dimitri looked over the missive, having heard of the pilgrimage coming to Hyspia but he was too injured from a siege to go to greet them, “Ea’ve never seen why the church disliked same sex couples te begin with. Let people be people…” He muttered to himself before folding the missive and placing it in a pile with already read missives. He then took a mouthful of whiskey and leaned back in his chair, staring out over Hyspia from his office, thinking about how happy people would be if love could just be accepted.

A young recruit of the Balian Armada read over the missive when it was given, “I was there for that! I made a difference!” She then ran off to show her best friend Pebble. Her horse.

  4. The Hyspian Consort looked over the missive, eyes tired from grief and restless nights filled with the echoes of war. “We shall bring those who snuffed out her light te justice. Under the eyes of Godan, under the eyes of DIOS. May the ground beneath our boots tremble, and our eyes niet rest until they are found.” He rose from his desk, pinning the missive to the wall opposite so he may see it every moment he works.

  5. Dimitri looked out over the river he had planned to take Marjorie out on, tears rolling down his cheeks, he had almost forgotten the pain of losing a family member, yet now it had reared its head once more, taking with it the life of someone far too young, “Ea’m szam we never got those fish fer vy, Marjorie…” He wiped his tears, placing a wreath of blue, grey, white and yellow flowers onto the water. The colours of House Vuiller. He then returned to the palace, seeking comfort in the arms of his wife, the wreath slowly drifting down river, fish stirring the water beneath it.

    Una Union Legendaria

    “A Fabled Union”

The union between the two, Ramona and Dimitri, started when the couple was very young, and they would become good friends until time tore the two apart and life would continue its course for them both. Until they ran into one another in Balian, and the friendship was rekindled. The princess and the lord would go on to fight battles alongside one another, share in the victories and brutal losses the war has held, and even be held captive together, with Princess Ramona bargaining to save Dimitri’s life.

The course of true love is said not to run smooth, and this union was no exception to that, but their love persevered, as true love must, and it is a joyous occasion to announce the wedding of the couple.

This union is the first of its kind for the House of Kortrevich, with Lord Dimitri renouncing his Kortrevich name, and any associated titles, to take the royal name of De Pelear and serve the Viceroyalty as Prince Consort, standing alongside Crown Princess Ramona when it is her turn to rule.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Bardmancy [A + S + W + M]

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Bardimancy is a very creative magic, allowing the caster to bring their creations to life, or add more depth to any of their performances. It also has some combat use, with spells such as Shape of Beguilement and Tilting Movement, coming at the cost of being disabled for some time after the spell has been cast.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Yes. For example, the school of evocation can be split into various different elements, and bardimancy can be split in a similar way with their being Aesthetic Arts such as sculpting, painting, drawing, carving, etc. Movement Arts through dancing, theatre, opera and street magicians; Sound Arts with Instruments, singing, and spoken stories; and Word Arts through Writing poems, plays, songs, pretty much anything that focuses on storytelling.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Rolim gently strums his lute and closes his eyes, sitting on his stool in silence for a moment, as he forms his connection. An aura then begins to build around him, namely on his arms. A yellow aura shows on his arms, climbing up to his forearms and fading to a warm orange, flickering gently like a candle as it did so. When the elf opens his eyes, his eyes glow with the same yellow-orange light. He then takes a deep breath and begins to play his song.

Before him appears the yellow rough figures of a man and woman, definable by the flowing dress of the woman, and the formal looking attire of the man. The couple are featureless, their faces being a blank canvas, but their movements are human as they approach one another. The man approaches the woman, offering a hand, and the two begin a dance, one that is slow and stays in time with the music. The couple partake in a sort of waltz commonly seen at the balls of Haense, their movements staying gentle and flowing with the beat of Rolim's song.

This dance continues to the length of the bard's tune, though before the music can fully end, they bow to one another and part ways, walking in opposite directions from one another and dissipating before Rolim brings his song to a close, his aura fading close after.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

"I shall begin by teachin' ye a fairly simple, but very useful spell, aye? It is called Visual Trick." He gestured for his student to take a seat as he pulled his lute from his back and sat opposite them. From his years of practice, it took but a moment for Rolim to form his spell connection, his usual candle-like aura forming around his forearms. "As ye play ye song, or tell ye story, I want ye te imagine those characters, or images in ye mind's eye. Will them te be before ye. It does ne need te be all that detailed te begin, a small shape of what ye are intendin' is a very good start."

The student began to follow such instructions, creating little specs of what was maybe intended to be snowflakes as they played a traditional winter song seen often in the palace or tavern of Valdev.

"Aye! Like that! Very good. With practice those will get better, more detailed, aye? But the connection ye formed is good. It is gettin' easier, no?"

And the scene pans from the window of the bard's living area, out to the snowy streets of Valdev.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

If it is a first offence, and is only to do with something like the amount of emotes used, or a slight problem with how they described a manipulation spell, I would correct them and have them come back to me with the corrected emote so I can see that they are making the right changes. Though, on a secondary, or much worse offence, I would report such to a staff member and take their advice on how to best deal with the student. With learning magic, mistakes can be made, but if the student is purposely getting things wrong, then it must be dealt with in full.

  11. Dimitri stood silently alongside his siblings as he came to look upon his mother, his jaw clenched tight and hands clasped behind his back, as he had seen many a noble man do before. He looked to his youngest brother, eyes void of emotion, not truly knowing how to process such a loss.

The boy left, soon returning with an old, worn polar bear plush; worn in such a way only many years of love could achieve. He moved over to his mother, placing the bear down beside her. "Pat will take care of vy while vy rest, mamej. He has always been good at that." Dimitri then placed a kiss upon the forehead of his mother, and quietly left the room, retreating to his own to process his emotions on his own.

A being such as yourself is already cursed to eternal damnation, but if you want to duel me, so be it. I accept such a challenge. It is just a shame you must hide behind a champion. Let it be known I do not do this just for the people of Haense, but for my daughter you have threatened to harm first and foremost.

You have set no terms, so I shall set mine. We meet upon the bridge to Haense, between the two gates that guard the city. You bring only yourself and your champion, or the duel shall not take place.

If I win, you shall stay to your word and never step foot in the good city of Valdev again, or hurt any of my family. If I lose, I shall leave instruction to my wife about what is to be done going forth, and you shall leave my body, dead or alive, upon the bridge. I will not allow for my being to be damned as yours has been.

    [!]

A missive has been distributed amongst the people of Valdev.

At the behest of the honourable Ser Andrik var Ruthern, I do declare to the people of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, my innocence in the wrong-doings of my brother Talinn Tordove. I wanted to keep such a matter private, but my honour was publicly questioned in the streets of Valdev. My older brother was a twisted man, and died the second he decided to delve into dark powers he did not fully understand. My brother and I did not agree on much, and even went our separate ways after his act of cowardice during the fall of Karosgrad back in the lands of Almaris, and I would only speak with him if we happened to cross paths.

Ser Andrik questioned why I did not act upon my suspicions of my brother sooner, and I answer that simply; I did not want to kill my only brother so hastily without knowing his true guilt in the matter. And once I did come to the conclusion my brother was to be brought to justice, I did just that, sending private letters to the King, Queen and Captain of the BSK, laying forth all I had found, and seen my brother do. I did not know my brother was on trial to be executed that same day, and was not able to attend such as I was defending the city alongside my brothers and sisters in arms, as I have honourably done for the past thirty years of my life. In such a letter I also offered to come before the King and Queen to discuss any matters further, should they believe it was necessary, and I even have a copy of said letter to prove it to anyone who should want to see it. I may also like to mention that my wife, Siora Virralei-Tordove, was the person who executed my brother in the square of Valdev, overseen by Ser Audo Wiess, should that also be questioned.

All of this is to say that I do not condone the behaviour of my older brother, and had no part in what he had done. I publicly sever any and all ties to my former brother, and should he return, as I would presume he intends to do, I will cut the bastard down myself.

In the following some of the traditional blades used by the Master of the Hunt in their hunts shall be outlined and discussed, accompanied with the personal collection of  Rolim Tordove, current Master of the Hunt's, both decorative and working hunting blades.

    WEAPONRY

    SWORDS

    THE HUNTING SWORD

The strongest characteristic of the Hunting Sword is its grand and ornate look as they are oft used as a ceremonial and decorative piece as well as a hunting weapon.  The overall length of the Hunting Sword is around 18 to 31 inches long (45 to 80 cm). The widest point is either the handle or the neck of the blade, which is around 1.5 inches wide (4 cm), with its weight being around 0.9 to 1.7 lbs (400 to 800 grams), but there are some that are highly decorated swords that can reach even 3.8 lbs (1.7 kg).

The best way to use the Hunting Sword is in one hand, thanks to its lightweight and small handle; it is a fairly short sword which renders it very appropriate for one-handed slashes or thrusts. Sometimes it can be double or single-edged, but the tip would still be sharpened to be used for either striking motion.

These smallswords are carried by hunters, with the best use for them as a backup weapon, or most of the time, just finishing off a wounded beast injured by a bow or a spear. Hunting Swords come in handy in actual hunting, but they cannot butcher as the hunting knife can.

(Example of a short, double-edged, straight hunting sword)

    BLADES

For a straight bladed hunting sword, as described clearly in its name, the blade is straight and double-edged which renders it much more powerful for thrusting and stabbing attacks, perfect for thrusting into the heart of a wounded animal to finish it off.

For a curved hunting sword, there are some examples that closely resemble a Hanger sword or a saber, but these were most likely for decorative purposes rather than hunting. If the blade is curved, it will be sharpened just on one side except for the blade’s tip, which might have a false edge.

The Hunting Sword’s blade has many decorations on it, such as family heirlooms, the name of the wielder, animals, family coats of arms, and a beveled groove throughout the length of the blade to make it lighter and stiffer. The blade of the Hunting Sword is usually 15 to 21 inches long (40 to 50 cm).

    GUARDS

The Hunting Sword tends to have all sorts and shapes of guards, but is usually seen with a crucifix or S-shaped quillons. Some of these swords feature a very thin knuckle bow that helps out protect the user’s hand when the blade is used in a hunting, or combat, environment. Hunting Swords used for decorative purposes had many different shapes and decorative designs on their guards.

    HANDLES

As a thrusting weapon meant to finish off wounded laying beasts, the blade would benefit from a straight handle, yet there are also some instances of them having a slightly curved handle. Hunting swords often had lots of decorations added to the handle, which sometimes rendered the grip very weak, and the most usual handle length for the Hunting sword is around 3.5 inches (9 cm).

(Example of a Hunting Sword with a curved and decorated handle)

    POMMELS

The pommel of Hunting Swords often have many different shapes and sizes that are highly decorative and have no actual effect in aiding the grip of the user’s hand.

    SCABBARDS

    43eeI4oUKxg3P6ZDFryYF48dt-nhv_-wJ-LntGNc5JpOrmDGaMvR2fQ1XX2r0XBbeHq5mInpWp527FvgLks4oJii16ju1rduEEMYLmBU5XjDaWu3mockRK83bXEI_4XKYrf6Y9cqiss8I187mTq_r9w

(Example of a curved Hunting Sword with a highly decorated scabbard)

The most decorated piece of the Hunting Sword is the scabbard since it hangs off the nobility’s belts and can be seen by everyone. If it is a Hunting Sword to be used primarily for hunting, it would have a leather sheath and scabbard to make it easier to carry around.

    THE BOAR SWORD

You can use the Boar sword for slashing or thrusting, although the slashing ability is not entirely helpful. This is because only the blade’s tip is sharpened, so when slashing, it will only cause damage from there. Furthermore, if the crossbar is attached, it will get stuck on the side of the boar, and you might even lose your grip on the sword. That is why thrusting is the biggest and best usage for the Boar sword. While it is a perfect thrusting tool, it is not meant to go deep inside the boar itself, instead, it needs to do just enough damage to stop the boar from running away, making it fantastic hunting equipment.

The Boar sword is long enough to keep control of the sword and withstand a boar’s strong impact and attack. When the sword cuts through the boar’s flesh, it will stay inside since the blade is only sharpened on the tip. The broad edge of the blade causes a wide, crippling wound that results in blood loss as the blade pushes into the flesh and the animal fights against it. The boar sword does not go as deep because it makes a wider wound instead of a deeper one, keeping the hunter further away from the dangerous animal.

There are two common types of Boar swords, such being the Boar Sword with widened tip, and the Boar Sword with a traverse bar. The Boar sword with the widened tip looks like a normal long sword at its handle, guard, and neck of the blade, but closer to the tip, the blade gradually becomes wider, then nearing the end of the blade’s tip, it widens, almost resembling a spear tip point.

On the other hand, the Boar sword with a traverse bar has two steel quillons branching out on either side just before the widening of the blade. This design comes directly from the previous Boar spear, which helped a lot when stabbing boars either in the neck, belly, or back; this sword is often used more as it proves to be a much better hunting weapon without having any possibility of the boar making its way through the blade and attacking the hunter.

The overall length of the Boar sword can range from 43 to 53 inches (110 to 135 cm). This means that it isn’t as long as the German Zweihander, for example, but is a perfect size for a hunting sword that can withstand a substantial amount of impact from a rushing boar. The average Boar sword can be quite heavy, ranging around the 4.4 lbs ( 2 kg) mark. It is a heavy sword to use, considering its length. Usually, the end of the blade’s tip is what makes it heavy. The weight at the end of the blade is made so it can remain inside the boar and keep the boar from running or attacking.

    (Diagram from Sword Encyclopedia)

    BLADE

The Boar sword has a very stiff steel blade, around 43 inches (110 cm) long; this makes it the ideal blade length for a thrusting and stabbing motion that will not break on impact. It is also just long enough to reach the heart of the boar. The blade starts out thinner and widens closer to the edge. It is only sharpened at the end, though.

A piece of metal is placed across the end of the blade so that the charging boar cannot run up the blade and disembowel the hunter. The boar is a dangerous and fast-moving animal that strikes head first. Even as it is dying, it will keep trying to climb up the blade of the sword but will get caught on the blade stop, making it immobile.

    GUARD

The crossguard of the Boar sword is made to be very large. It can span a total width of around 10 inches (25 cm) and is usually as big as the handle itself; the guard is made this big so the user can manage the sword with two hands without worrying about losing his grip on impact. Another usage is if the Boar somehow manages to pass through the blade, it will need to work its way through another layer of obstacles to get to the hunter.

    HANDLE

The handle of the Boar sword is big and wide, being usually around 10 inches (25 cm) long but can go up to 12 inches (30 cm). Usually, it is made of wood and then layered with leather to create a better grip. Hunters need a Boar sword with a very big handle to withstand the massive impact and power of the boar; the handle has a two-handed ridge in the middle, offering an excellent grip when wielding it with both hands.

    POMMEL

The beginning of the handle, or the pommel, of the Boar sword, is usually quite big. It can be many different shapes and variations, but it is likely double the handle width. The purpose of the large pommel is to provide much stronger support to the hunter’s hands and offer better overall stability when wielding it. Usually, the pommel can be shaped like garlic, circular and round; sometimes even like the heads of animals such as boar or deer.

    SCABBARD

The scabbard of the Boar sword can be made either from leather or a wooden material; this scabbard does not have anything special for the traverse bar to get inside. Instead, the traverse bar can be detached from the blade to enable the sword to be properly sheathed. Some kings, using these swords, have chosen for ornate scabbards decorated with all sorts of possible hunting trophies that the owner had achieved in his life.

    DAGGERS

    THE HUNTING DAGGER

The hunting dagger is a 18–30-inch (460–760 mm) long dagger, used to kill deer and boar, and is developed from the hunting swords described above. These daggers are often used to finish off a wounded, or dying animal, and are kept sharp enough to be used in the skinning process of the hunt.

The crossguard is made of aurum, with crow claws positioned at their tips and a black ferrum sigil of the Morrivi Prikaz Council placed proudly at its center; the pommel is hand-carved from an elk antler, being a crow head to also represent the Morrivi Prikaz Council.

Forest’s Glory is the personal hunting sword of Firr Tordove. Its blade is made from black ferrum and both edges are sharpened to deadly precision; the crossbar of aurum with an engraved tree in the center and bear heads on the tips. The vine ornamentation on the handle is made of stainless steel, though flat to ensure the grip is comfortable in the user’s hand; finally, the pommel is a bear claw made of black ferrum and is weighted perfectly.

This fairly simple looking boar sword is made of stainless steel, with a crossbar that cannot be removed to prevent the boar pushing up the blade. The handle is made of a blackened leather, with a black ferrum pommel with floral engravings decorating it.

The Weld Oxtzen is a group established with the children of Haense at its heart, with the aim to provide opportunities for the younger people of the kingdom to explore the natural world surrounding them, learn beneficial skills and make friends along the way. From camping to hunting, learning true etiquette to being taught how to create and repair clothing, there is truly something for everyone.

    INTRODUCTION

Established by Rolim Tordove, Master of the Hunt, in 479 E.S., the aim of the Weld Oxtzen is to teach children the importance of the wilderness throughout the kingdom, and how to properly take care of themselves in a survival situation. In such, the Master of the Hunt will educate children aged from 8 to 15 in how to hunt, identify flora and fauna, build a suitable shelter, make a fire and much more. There will also be the opportunity to attend workshops and learn skills such as sewing, proper meat preparation, cooking, and etiquette.

    THE OXTZEN OATH

“On my honor I will do my best, serve my king and my community, care for the wilderness, help others and abide by the Oxtzen Law.”

When committing to the oath, the moment should be very special, so before an Oxtzen takes the oath, it is encouraged that they understand what it means. Declaring that they shall do their best encourages that they are not to be entirely perfect in all that they do, they simply must challenge themselves and strive to achieve their personal best.

Serving the king, and their community, is something that is part of the core of the Weld Oxtzen, alongside caring for the wilderness and all that is in it.

Lending a hand is an important part of being an Oxtzen. Members of Weld Oxtzen help their friends, family, and people in their local area.

    THE OXTZEN LAW

    An Oxtzen is:

TRUSTWORTHY- Tells the truth and upkeeps promises.

LOYAL- Shows that they care about their family, friends, king, and country.

HELPFUL- Volunteers to help others without expecting a reward.

FRIENDLY- Is a friend to everyone.

COURTEOUS- Is polite to everyone and always uses good manners.

KIND- Treats others as they want to be treated.

BRAVE- Faces difficulty even if they feel afraid.

    APPEARANCE

Once an Oxtzen takes their oath, they are given a simple black and yellow neckerchief that they are expected to wear to all of their future Weld Oxtzen meetings.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Ghosts are a mirror image of their soul usually created when a person dies unnaturally or isn’t baptised before death. Either way the mirror image is left behind to wander the mortal plane to either find comfort and move on or stay behind by their own choice. There are three stages to a ghost, which progressively gives the restless soul more power.

    Haunts

A haunt is the base level of a ghost in which their forms are much more desaturated, often appearing exactly as the person did upon their death. What separates them from the other stages of a ghost is the fact that they either are not aware of their death or have not accepted it, and they cannot affect the world around them and hold no real powers. Because the wandering souls are not aware of their death they live in a delusion of their past life, often continuing the tasks they did in their past lives, but if you can prove to the soul that they are in fact dead you can break them out of their delusion allowing them to move onto the next phase of their death.

  19. Silence would fill the Jameson household as Lord William entered the room of his dying wife. Sarah lay on the bed, her form obviously weakening. Her skin pale, her hand cold to the touch as William moved to hold it.

Sarah's warm gaze moved to rest on William's face, smiling weakly at him. Her voice shook as she spoke, "What's wrong love?"

William's heart ache was present on his face as he tried to mask his emotions with a faint smile. "I worry for you...my love."

Sarah moved to cup William's cheek with her hand. "Don't worry about me... I-I'll be fine."

The sorrowful Lord moved his thumb along Sarah's knuckles, "It's my job to worry..." he said reluctantly, trying to chuckle lightly, the pain eating away at him.

"You worry too much..." Sarah laughed weakly, causing her to cough and wince at the searing pain in her lungs. William grabbed a glass of water from beside her bed and aided her in drinking it, after taking a sip Sarah coughed again. She studied William's face, finding his scarred face concealed by a mask of guilt, pain and hopelessness, she then fell into William's arms, clasping his shirt tightly. "I-It'll be alright my love..."

"I can't lose you Sarah... I just can't" , a tear ran down William's cheek, the once proud warrior now sat wounded, his heart slowly breaking, everything he holds dear to him slowly slipping away.

Sarah rested her head on his shoulder, her arms still wrapped firmly around him,"Y-you're strong, s-stronger than anyone I know. I will always love you, keep hold of that love, let it guide you, h-h-heal you..." her voice grew noticeably weaker.

"Save your words my love..." William began to weep softly, holding Sarah tighter, unwilling to let her go.

"D-don't cry, I'll always be with you, just with b-badass angel wings...." She laughed wearily, the warmth inside of her growing ever colder, her grip on William loosening.

William's slight chuckle couldn't hold back his tears as he held Sarah closer to him, as the light in her eyes began to fade. "Stay with me Sarah....please."

"I-I'm sorry.... William.." She then released a deep sigh as her grip on William slowly reduced to nought. Her body growing limp. Lifeless.

"Sarah...Sarah please... please don't leave me.." The broken Lord's pleads were soon consumed by the growing silence of the room.

William then pulled Sarah's body close to him, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, laid her down and took her hand, holding it close to his face as he mumbled to himself.

As William held onto Sarah's hand, praying, a slight breeze would gently brush passed his face and a dove that was previously sitting outside the window took flight. The silence of the room now deafening.
