    -=The Faded Light=-

Silence would fill the Jameson household as Lord William entered the room of his dying wife. Sarah lay on the bed, her form obviously weakening. Her skin pale, her hand cold to the touch as William moved to hold it. Sarah's warm gaze moved to rest on William's face, smiling weakly at him. Her voice shook as she spoke, "What's wrong love?" William's heart ache was present on his face as he tried to mask his emotions with a faint smile. "I worry for you...my love." Sarah moved to cup William's cheek with her hand. "Don't worry about me... I-I'll be fine." The sorrowful Lord moved his thumb along Sarah's knuckles, "It's my job to worry..." he said reluctantly, trying to chuckle lightly, the pain eating away at him. "You worry too much..." Sarah laughed weakly, causing her to cough and wince at the searing pain in her lungs. William grabbed a glass of water from beside her bed and aided her in drinking it, after taking a sip Sarah coughed again. She studied William's face, finding his scarred face concealed by a mask of guilt, pain and hopelessness, she then fell into William's arms, clasping his shirt tightly. "I-It'll be alright my love..." "I can't lose you Sarah... I just can't" , a tear ran down William's cheek, the once proud warrior now sat wounded, his heart slowly breaking, everything he holds dear to him slowly slipping away. Sarah rested her head on his shoulder, her arms still wrapped firmly around him,"Y-you're strong, s-stronger than anyone I know. I will always love you, keep hold of that love, let it guide you, h-h-heal you..." her voice grew noticeably weaker. "Save your words my love..." William began to weep softly, holding Sarah tighter, unwilling to let her go. "D-don't cry, I'll always be with you, just with b-badass angel wings...." She laughed wearily, the warmth inside of her growing ever colder, her grip on William loosening. William's slight chuckle couldn't hold back his tears as he held Sarah closer to him, as the light in her eyes began to fade. "Stay with me Sarah....please." "I-I'm sorry.... William.." She then released a deep sigh as her grip on William slowly reduced to nought. Her body growing limp. Lifeless. "Sarah...Sarah please... please don't leave me.." The broken Lord's pleads were soon consumed by the growing silence of the room. William then pulled Sarah's body close to him, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, laid her down and took her hand, holding it close to his face as he mumbled to himself. As William held onto Sarah's hand, praying, a slight breeze would gently brush passed his face and a dove that was previously sitting outside the window took flight. The silence of the room now deafening.

I am the leader of blackreach and formally I haven't made a decision on whether I want peace or for this war to continue, the reason I didn't reply sooner is because I'm busy sorting things outside of lotc

    -=The Order Of Nightfall=-

The order of nightfall charging into battle Three of the Order Of Nightfall's greatest warriors watching over a battlefield The Order Of Nightfall History The original creator, Johnathan Cantwell, was a simple boy. He learned of his father being a lord and soon became a lord under a county in Santegia. He took his fathers old armor, darkened the steel and decided to make a levy that would aid people. Seeing as the Black Knight always saves the damsel, the levy was formed. It was passed down to his son who shortly lost lordship and the Black Knights went extinct. Many other Cantwells tried reforming them, but only one succeeded. Zachary an Cantwell. Shortly he passed away and it went onto his brother, then onto the last Cantwell alive; Sarah Thomson. Under her new rule the name was changed to the Order Of Nightfall. Black Knights were the titles given to the male warriors and Black Dames to the female warriors. The order of Nightfall isn't for the faintest of heart, their work requires them to complete tasks the average soldier wouldn't, because of this the soldiers of the order are hardy warriors. Rankings Captain -the highest rank achievable in the order, this is held by a soldier that is a great warrior but an even greater leader. They are responsible for every soldier in the order and take care of any business the order is involved in, whether that be battles or simple guard duty. Again this is a difficult rank to achieve, you must prove yourself to be a great leader and fine warrior, therefore this rank will be awarded by a captain with the approval of the other soldiers in the order. Lieutenant -a soldier that is known for their great leadership skills and can draft letters and reports for their Captain. This rank is hard to achieve, in order to achieve it you must work hard in battle and prove yourself to your fellow lieutenants and captain. Sergeant -a soldier that is responsible for the training, gear management and overall appearance of the soldiers under their control. Corporal -a soldier that has proven themselves a good leader and are able to lead a small group of soldiers. Private -the lowest rank in the order, usually held by a soldier that needs more training in combat. Footman -a tried and tested soldier that has proven themselves in battle, they are the bulk of the order. Recruit -a recently recruited soldier that are untested in battle and may need training in the art of combat. Enlistment Requirements -must be hardened soldiers -loyal to the Order -respectful to others and more importantly those of a higher rank Application Name: Age: Race: Gender: Discord(required):
  5. Username ElvenHuntress Discord ElvenHuntress#9203 Timezone GMT but I play quite late, so it fits EST times What group/playerbase are you most involved with? Humans/Elves Staff History None Ban History No bans Blacklist History: No blacklists What do you want to join the Event Team? I want to join the event team because I want to get involved with different events, mostly because I have played an undead character and I really enjoyed the types of roleplay that role presented to me. I also want to bring more roleplay activity to the community to show new players what our server is about and show them the type of roleplay we provide. Why should we accept you onto the Team? I believe you should accept me because I am willing to face the challenge of the types of events the event team host, and as mentioned previously I have past experience of handling multiple emotes flying my way and I handled it quite well, not missing a response to all of said emotes (it was challenging but hey it was fun). Because of this I believe that I am quite hardworking and won't get angry at any of the participators because of certain emotes they made or not giving me enough time to respond. What kind of events do you aspire to create?: I want to create low fantasy, quest and dungeon styled events, this is because I love playing Skyrim and I believe that it will influence the types of dungeon and quest lines I create, I want to create events which are interesting and fun, and maybe some events could be quite quick because some players may not have a lot of time to spend at events. What makes a good event? I think that a good event should be entertaining for all taking part in it and allow every participator to leave the event satisfied with what they just took part in. I also believe that the event should include everyone who is participating, whether they were there from the beginning or arrived mid event and should run as smooth as possible, but I know things can be a little stressful with emotes flying all over the place and some people getting a bit mad that certain things happened. Finally I think that events that will be part of a series should finish leaving the participators questioning what will happen next (in a positive way) and leave them wanting more. Create three in-depth event scenarios. I’m not looking for some prelude or whimsical idea here -- we want an indicator as to your talent and potential to be on the ET. You don’t need to write a word-for-word script, but we want a solid structure and plan as to how you’d organize and carry out an event: First scenario- quest event ~The beast of the shadows~ Many innocent citizens have been brutally killed as they walk through a city in the cloak of night, the corpses are left with huge tear like wounds cascaded across their body, panic is spread throughout the once quiet, peaceful city, will you help find this mysterious killer? -The quest will require the player(s) to investigate the bodies of the dead and track down this mysterious beast by talking to any witnesses of the brutal attacks or following any trails left by the killer. The player(s),if successful, will discover that the being behind the deaths is a feral that has lost control of it's transformations. With this information the brave detective must lure the feral out and kill it in any means they seem necessary and will be payed handsomely by the quest giver once they provide evidence of the beasts death (providing it's head for example). Second scenario- low fantasy ~Terror from the skies~ A wyvern has recently awoken from it's cave and it terrorizing a nearby city, it has caused a path of destruction before reaching the city. Many soldiers have fell to the claws of the great beast. Will the city be able to defeat the monster or will more fall to it's unrelenting anger? -This event is what it says on the tin, a wyvern attacks a city and it is up to the protectors of the city to slay the beast, if they are successful the protectors will receive trophies from the slain beasts (corpse, claws, scales etc.), however if they loose too many fighters and let the wyvern escape the wyvern will move back to the area surrounding it's cave for the protectors to fight at a later time. Third scenario- dungeon event ~Something lies within~ A cave has opened up in the icy wastelands in the south, strange sounds and torch light have been emitting from somewhere within the cave, upon entering the cave the brave adventurers find the cave is filled with a dull light and have to slay a polar bear, thinking that the bear was the source of the sounds, however the sounds only grow louder almost as if they were approaching the group of adventurers. Suddenly a singular ghoul appears from the shadows and upon it's defeat the group are confronted by more undead. After they defeat the last ghoul the strange light which filled the cave seems to fade away and upon close inspection the adventurers find a note laying on the body of the final ghoul reading "upon the death of my comrades more shall rise." and a strange symbol is printed at the end of the note. -This event will be a larger event and has the potential to be part of an event line, the event that follows this would require the adventurers to re-visit the cave where they will find a new opening leading to a large cavern filled with more undead. And would end with the adventurers facing the creator of the undead, a necromancer by the name of Aiduin. It will require the players to test their puzzle solving and fighting skills, using items they collect from certain bodies and areas of the cavern, leading them to solve puzzles in a different cavern where the necromancer is creating their undead warriors. The players will then be allowed to the items they used in the puzzles and a blade which was used by the necromancer called 'contortion', a wavy black steel blade which emits a dull light and allows it's wielder to briefly poison whoever is struck by the blade.

Minecraft name: ElvenHuntress Discord: ElvenHuntress#9203 Time zone: GMT Describe your knowledge on the descendent races: Humans: typically they are the most played race , very religious, they come with very few sub-races which have different appearances; Farfolk which are usually any race that comes from distant lands, Highlanders and Heartlanders which are not hugely different from each other and humans have numerous nations dotted around Atlas. Norland, Haense, Santegia and Retanus (to name only a few). Elves- Have their own native language, have difficulty growing facial hair (generic reasons....), usually found to be quite tall (some can be smaller than the average human but that's based on the player's decision) Snow Elves: Militaristic sub-race, usually inhabit cold and isolated areas, they were originally High Elves and are usually seen with a pale complexion. High Elves: Tallest of the Elves, typically view themselves as higher than other races, have no religion because they think they are smart nuggets and are usually seen with a pale complexion. Dark Elves: Seen as a more materialistic sub-race of elf, found to be quite adept in combat because of their muscular build and are usually seen to have a grey or black complexion. Wood Elves: Found in foresty environments (their name kinda gives that away) as they are closely tied to nature, they are usually considered the best archers and are usually seen with a brownish complexion. Dwarfs: They only have one religion. They believe hugely in honor, loyalty and bravery. Typically they separate into different clans. Halflings: known to believe in the Pumpkin Lord and were once known to praise Knox (I don't know if they still do). They are half human and half dwarf hence their name Halfling, known to hold various festivals and tend to look after nature with a lot of care and are quite a peaceful race. Kharajyr: quite religious (I believe they praise the moon or a moon god, I'm not too sure), aren't played as much as they used to be. They speak in their language and have four different sub-races; Kha'Panthera, Kha'Tigrasi, Kha'Leparda and Kha'Cheetra Orcs: I don't know a lot about Orcs because I've never played one yet and don't really see myself playing one anytime soon. However I do know they are ruled by someone called a Rex, quite skilled in battle because of their powerful muscular build and they speak their own language. Describe your knowledge on other pieces of lore that you believe relevant: I understand human and elven lore more as I have played those races the most in my time on lotc, however this doesn't mean that I don't know any other races lore. I know some lore about the creatures which inhabit lotc, from my time playing an undead character where I learnt a bit about dark magic and spending some time in the westerlands (when that was a thing) where I learnt quite a bit of undead lore, which is helpful as some applicants may want to mention something about the undead presence in Atlas or something about their character wanting to become a mage. Detail what drives you to become a member of the application team: Personally I like helping players, whether they're new or not and I'd love to be able to help new applicants achieve what they need to be able to join the lotc community and experience the type of roleplay we provide. Provide an alternate way to assisting new players apart from reviewing applications: I could help the new players understand how to use our commands that are used in our roleplay such as /s to shout or * to emote etc. Also I'd like to help them roleplay with their character so they are ready and more confident to go roleplay with other members of our community. If they are also missing parts of their application such as where there character was born I would love to guide them so they get the necessary requirements to get accepted. Survey the application process and provide any possible improvements which could be made: I feel that the application could involve a section where the new players could show us their roleplay skills. As I remember after I was accepted it took me a short while to thoroughly understand how to use the roleplay commands and understand how to roleplay as certain races such as Orcs. So if this new section was introduced we could help the applicant to understand how to use their racial language and give them pointers on where to find their language via the forums. Provide any additional information that you believe is needed: I'm not really that popular so I may not get many +1's and it's not because I'm a horrible person it's just that I only have a few friends.
