Character’s name: Gerald Peterson Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Heartlander Character’s age: 53 (1581) Biography: Gerald Peterson was born during the seed of Sun's Smile, 1581. His parent's were wheat farmers, who lived in a humble cottage on the outskirts of Johannesburg. Gerald spent most his early years helping his parents with chores wherever possible, without much spare time for education or play. Although it was a simple and boring way of life, Gerald grew to appreciate it. This all changed during the end of the Orenian-Coalition war. Gerald's land, home and family were all consumed by the Thanium bombings of 1595. He was playing in the nearby woods during the explosion and was lucky to have survived. However, he did not feel lucky at all. Gerald quickly moved to Haense in desperate search of work. He managed to find the odd job every few days, keeping him fed. As the years passed, he found himself travelling from one settlement to another in search of work. During these trips, he had too much time to think about his family, causing him to slowly fall into an emotional downward spiral. This unfortunately led to an abusive drinking problem which continues today. Personality Traits: Introverted and shy, often keeping to himself and his bottle. Tends to be angry when drunk. Ambitions: Currently, his only plans are to earn enough coin for another bottle of ale. However, deep down in his heart, he wants life to return to the way it was: happy and settled down with a farm of his own. Strengths/Talents: Gerald has spent his life as a labourer and has become a very hardworking man. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Gerald is weak-minded and illiterate. He carries no experience of self defence and has an aging body, making him extremely useless in combat. He is also an abusive alcoholic, often making him act in negative ways. Appearance: Gerald face looks weary and tired, with baggy eyes and drooping cheeks. He has a dull brown receding hairline and a scruffy beard which at a closer glance, contains small specs of food in it. Covering his thin, aging body are tattered clothes tainted of ale and mold.
