Aventina Draskovic The Baker A pioneer of the Draskovic name, Aventina Draskovic was born in 1745 to a family of, for all intents and purposes, high seas merchants. Born on the sea, Aventina was a ferocious… merchant vessel captain. The Draskovic family holding only a small transport vessel and loyal crew at her birth, Aventina soon commandeered a far larger merchant cog, and their trade ambitions were born. At a port of less reputable note, Aventina met her late husband Sergei, whom she quickly whipped into shape and made him take her name. Together they sailed the rough seas, selling whatever was valuable that they could get their hands on by either fair or unfair means. In her days of sailing, she gave birth to one daughter, Reza Draskovic. She raised Reza Draskovic in her own model, preaching the tenets of courage, and coin. However, she lost her daughter soon after she wed her to one Aristus Basrid. The couple, madly in love, had many children, but were eventually lost in a horrible storm. Reza had left her children to learn from Aventina upon her ship, Drasko’s Revenge, which often sailed more fair waters. Aventina, having lost her favored daughter and son-in-law, decided to settle down with the bit of family she had left; she raised Leopold and Varron and their brothers before they set off on their own adventures. An unlikely turn of events, Aventina soon found herself brittle with old age and selling her signature banana bread to the folk in Providence at The Novellen. She lived out her final days making the men and women of Providence happy with her cunning jokes and light-hearted mood she carried on her shoulders. (Funeral service will be held this Sunday the 28th at 8pm EST)
