What Is A Global Moderator?

A Global Moderator is a member of the staff that moderates all mediums of LotC, including the server, the forums, and Teamspeak. Global Moderators are tasked with solving player disputes and concerns, dealing with a issues and conflicts, and upholding the server rules and regulations as well as dealing with the individuals that break them. Global Moderators are chosen from only the most helpful and contributional members of the community, and they are required to remain active after joining the team. Though they are tasked with upholding the rules, Global Moderators are not above them, and thus they are just as bound to them as any other player of the community. Their word is law and must be heeded, else consequences will ensue.

 

Are you thinking of becoming a Global Moderator? If so, ask yourself the following questions:

• Are you joining this position for power rather than to help the community?
• Are you joining this position with the intent of helping a single person or group?
• Do you have a habit of abusing or misusing powers or authority trusted to you?
• Do you have a bad relationship with many of the current staff members?
• Do you plan on holding this position for a very short, brief period of time?

If the answer to any of the above questions are yes, then I advise reassessing yourself and perhaps returning when you believe you are better suited for the position.
