What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is when you become your character, you act and react as they would even if you personally would do something different.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is doing things such as using information that your character wouldn’t have effectively breaking the roleplay

 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is having your character do unrealistic things such as surviving a deadly attack or deciding the actions of another player.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -

Born in Luminaire she lived quite the comfortable life in her parent’s home and spent her time reading up on animals in her mother’s library, particularly cats.  Daenes’ parents felt that she did not need to know about life outside the city as they couldn’t imagine why she would ever leave.  However this backfired as it just fueled her curiosity of the outside and finally on her 50th birthday she gathered some supplies and moved out.  She told her parents it was because of the constant raids by humans and orcs but they simply insisted that she would be safer in the city so finally Daenes admitted that she just wanted to leave.  At first she just explored the land immediately outside Luminaire but quickly found that this wasn’t interesting enough and expanded her search.  

After a few bad encounters with bandits that she barely escaped Daenes sought out those who could teach her how to defend herself.  Using a thin, lightweight sword she now can defend herself but certainly won’t win any serious duels.

Daenes’ wanderings brought her  to Storms Crossing where she found a stable full of horses.  As she stood there gazing at them she was greeted by the dark elf Ethir.  When Ethir stated that they were her horses Daenes first accused her of stealing them all as she had always been told that all dark elves are thieves.  It took multiple other people assuring her that the horses were not stolen to finally convince Daenes and then as she started to get to know Ethir the two became friends.

 

What are they like (personality)?: -

Quite antisocial she doesn’t often initiate conversations with strangers however she will respond if spoken to.

Her upbringing taught her that anyone who is not a high elf is below her however sometimes she meets people who break the stereotypes she was taught but she always insists that these are just exceptions.

The raids on her home however have left her with a severe hatred of humans and orcs so she will refuse to deal with them unless shouting insults.

Even though Daenes knows how to defend herself she still prefers to avoid combat and often runs away if it’s possible.

To Daenes cats are the most precious gift so if she gives you one for free to her it is as if she just gave you an incredible treasure.

 

What are their ambitions?: -

Daenes dreams of having a beautiful home in the branches of a large tree somewhere with a strong male elf and her beautiful cats.

 

Do they have any special skills?: -

Daenes is very good with her hands and can easily craft small details into everything she makes.

 

What are their weaknesses?: -

Daenes is physically very weak and thus has to have swords and tools custom made with light materials.  This can get costly and her weakness also prevents her from wearing most types of armor.

Some might argue that her attitudes towards other races make her weak as well.

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -

Daenes is fair skinned with long white hair.  Her eyes are already a dark blue and as she ages will turn almost black in color because of this.

She fancies the color blue and always wears outfits in shades of it.

Daenes is often ignorant of things happening in the world unless they actually deal with her or affect her in some way.
