A Mysterious Roll

[Cerberus Initiative Team 4]

*Nearby the Nation's Crossing, at the south far side. A mysterious piece of parchment catches your eye. it is rolled and still sealed with the initials "TCI". The roll seems old, but in good enough state for it to remain whole. You open the roll, it seems extremely long for a simple piece of parchment. It exists out of two parts, with the two pieces carefully attached to eachother. The roll is written in orange ink, and seems to be written with care.

The Cerberus Initiative

 

Oriëntation; Facility wing 8

 

Greetings recruit, and welcome to the Initiative. You have been assigned to participate in creating the greater good. You are located at the Facility wing, number 8. This wing is dedicated to biology, and is a fully operational medical clinic for the works you will do.

 

Beware, your working envirioment is very fragile and dangerous. You are to follow each of the following protocols in the very detail to avoid further incidents.

 

The Operation.

 

One of our primary practices is surgery. You will be enhancing the human body for a longer life span and perfect appearance. To achieve such goal you must never forget that the Initiative does not have an endless supply of subjects for you to use.

 

“Before you start surgery, please make sure that you have paralyzed the subject before immobilizing him onto one of the two surgerial tables, secure both his hands and feet within the leather straps. Afterwards you pin the six needles located above the subject table into the stomach in a circular shape to avoid any unexpected movement of the subject. Sound can be harmful when doing surgery, please make sure to use the mouthlock to reduce the sound from the subject severely.”

 

“”For extracting fluids from the subjects body, you are only allowed to use the tools and cutlery located within the first surgery box located on the left of the entrance.”

 

“For extracting small parts of the body, like the fingers and ears, use the second box located on the left of the entrance. Do NOT use the general tubes for seperating blood unless necessary”

 

“For extracting minor parts of the body, like the arms or legs. Please use the third box located on the left of the entrance, please use the general tubes for seperating the blood from the required parts.”

 

“After surgery, please clean up all spills to avoid any infection, make sure to clean all your used tools seperatly and order them exactly as you found them into the given boxes.”

 

Do remember that the subjects you are using for the greater good, are harmful to the world and do not deserve compassion. These individuals are dangerous and vile, and should not be trusted in any way. Avoiding incidents with subjects should go as following.

 

“If a subject tries to communicate with you through the tongue, use the leather strap located in your right pocket of your skirt to avoid any verbal harm.”

 

“If a subject tries to escape, immobilizing him will be your first priority. Subjects may not be killed unless absolutely necessary.”

 

“After surgery, make sure you removed all pins from the stomach before moving the subject back to his cell.”

 

“Subjects may only be togheter with a limit of two, more could be harmful to the Initiative and the world.”

 

“A subject may never be named besides his given number, personal feelings may not intervene with the greater good.”

 

“A hostile subject should always be paralyzed before executed.”

 

Now recruit, just as we do the unthinkable, it is possible for the odds to turn against us. As result of the last incident, we have created an emergency protocol to remove all information or life within the facility.

 

The Scarlet protocol.

 

When the red torches are lit within the facily, make sure to lighten all personal logs and files of each subject within the Scarlet furnace. Make sure your partner locks all entrances to your wing. When all files are finished, and all rooms emptied and locked. Light your red torch located at the far end of your wing. Once all 12 torches are lit, close all air tunnels to decay all life within the facility. Your body will have a proper burial with testemony after twelve days of shut down, and your heroic actions to protect the Initiative will never be forgotten.

Lark looks through the papers, a quizzical look on his face. "Well dis is an odd...thing." He looks over the paper, flipping it around and looking at the symbol. He grimaces at the grimness of the odd and crumbles it up and tosses it in the bushes, "Damn folk tryin' te' start mass effects with people, dis is te' secoind toime dis week." Shaking his head, he walks off.
