Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - Yes, I would play on another rp server, I would play with a few friends and we would rp and go on a long journey to find the perfect area to build a home.

What do you think the server will be like? - I think it will be very energetic, suspenseful,  and dramatic

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - I like the soulstone rule, where you can't use your soulstone to exit combat, this way the server is more fair.

 

Definitions

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!

 

What is roleplaying?: The re-enactment of historical or fictional events.

 

What’s metagaming?:  Metagaming is when you play the game knowing things out of character you aren’t supposed to know about in character and then using this knowledge to give you an unfair advantage. I suppose it’s a bit like watching a film - you know what is happening or what is going to happen, but the main character doesn’t.

 

 

What’s powergaming?:  Powergaming is when you roleplay with another person, but you do it badly, and try and turn the situation to your advantage in a way which just wouldn’t happen in real life. By Powergaming, you would be claiming that an action was successful and not giving the opponent the opportunity to react. For example I walk up to a man and stab him in the heart saying ‘Yes I killed him’. This would be both against the Lore as you would not be roleplaying, as you have not engaged in conversation, and powergaming as you had not given the opponent the chance to flee or otherwise.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

What’s your character called?: My characters name is Arogos

 

What race are they (and sub-race)?: Wood Elf

 

What sex are they?:  Male

 

How old are they?:  479

 

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing):

 

Arogos was born to 2 loving parents in the Elvish capital of Malinor. He was born as an only child. His father was a hunter of sorts and his mother stayed at home to be his caretaker. Through out his early life Arogos had many friends that he would play with, they would typically pretend to be knights and orcs fighting each other. Most of these children had fantasies about being great mages and hand to hand combat warriors. But Arogos had a different dream, he wanted to follow his fathers footsteps, and become a hunter and archer.

 

Then in Arogos’ “teenage” years he practiced under his father as his assistant, skinning and gutting the animals he had caught. His father Arostine, had also started to teach him how to properly use a bow. Arogos had started to catch onto these things fairly quickly for he was a quick learner. A few years later his father started to take him out hunting with him. Eventually they became equally skilled in both hunting and tracking animals. This brought great joy into Arostine's heart.

 

Then in Arogos’ adult life, his father died of an unknown sickness. This had a great impact on Arogos, he wept for a long period of time. His father was more than just a father to him, he was his mentor and teacher. Arogos vowed unto his fathers grave that he would continue to practice to become one of the best archers in the surrounding areas and cities.

 

What are they like (personality)?:  Very kind, always selfless, but becomes very stubborn when it deals with his father and/or pride. 

 

What are their ambitions?:  To become the best archer in the world!

 

Do they have any special skills?:  Skillful with a bow and arrow. Can quickly and efficiently gut an animal and skin it. Also Arogos is a quick learner.

 

What are their weaknesses?: - Arogos is not great with swords, so he must stay far away from his enemy. Although if he gets too close to use his bow, he can use throwing knives and daggers.

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?:  Darker skin, no facial hair, pointed ears.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?:  No.
