They sit around a beautifully crafted quartz round table, a symbol of elven unity. That's gorgeous and if you need a hand with anything just let me know, I can do landscape and pretty, not so much of building. What you could do is like what BNK was saying with the sea, channel it so it's maybe a bit like Venice and the canals? Just an idea but not sure how effective it'd be!

Basically that means make the city dimensional. Make buildings interact with water/rock/rivers and each other. Make ally ways that are both wide and thin. Bridges across waterways that run through the city.

I'd be trying to minimize any wide canals if I were you guys. You should be trying to make the city as compact as possible.
