Definitions



This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!



What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is where you live in a life of another person life and make decisions for them usually you make that character



What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is where your'e character says something or do something where they would have no idea how to do it or what they are talking about. Example: one players character's name is Roy and another players name is Mack. Mack asks roy how do you make a speed potion. Roy tells Mack how to make it but player 2 character aka Roy knows nothing about brewing potions.

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is where you try to make your character do stuff which would be impossible to do. Example: Roy is being chased by two people. roy then turns around and turns into a dragon and eats them.

How old are they?: - 21



Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Tom was born to John and Catherine Fircone in the city of New Abresi. Toms father was a weaponsmith like his father and grandfather. So he wanted tom to continue the legacy of being a weaponsmith. So at the age of 13 John took Tom out of his education and made him his apprentice. He taught Tom the in's and out's of being an weaponsmith like how to forge a iron sword from a lump of iron and how to make a hilt of a sword. Tom never wanted to be an weaponsmith and hated being forced into a profession that he has no interest in. Tom had a elf friend named Ian. Ian also was being forced into a profession that he didn't want to be. So they decided that they will tag along with a trader's caravan and explore the land. So at the age of 16 Tom and Ian tagged along with a traders caravan in exchanged for them doing small jobs hear and there. So for the 5 years of there adventures they visited different places and meeting different people. Tom and Ian were being trained in weapons on there travels by an dark elf named Ceru. Ceru trained them slowly and with wooden weapons. Ian preferred using blades while Tom was more skilled with a bow. At the age of 21 the traders caravan was attacked by bandits. The Traders caravan put up a good fight but to no avail. Tom and Ian tried their best to defend themselves but they were outnumbered causing the death of Ian and Tom badly injured. The bandits left Tom to die on the roads instead of a quick death.  Tom was near to death when a group of adventures found him. They brought him to the closest village they could find and luckily they got there in time and saved Tom's life. Tom was bedridden for a month until he fully healed leaving him a scar on his back. Fully healed Tom sets out into the world to find the bandits that killed his best friend and find a cause in life to support.

 

What are they like (personality)?: - Tom is friendly and tries his best to help people in need but along with this he is also can be very paranoid at times.

 

What are their ambition: - To find the bandits that killed his best friend and find a cause in life to support.


Do they have any special skills?: -He has been trained in different weapons but is best with a bow. He has been trained by his father about  making weapons but because of his low interest in it he has nearly forgot everything his father taught him.



What are their weaknesses?: - He can be very paranoid at times and will get regular nightmares of the bandit attack.


Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -Tom has dark emerald eyes one eye nearly covered by his bright blonde hair. His face covered by a mask to hide his face. Tom always has a quiver of arrows on his back.
