The Fall of the Shallmandrils

Creator: 30326.

Builders:30326, Thoak_Sludgefist, xSpullerx

Helpers: Boomack21, Goldrim, Kahzo, Kowaman, Tethras, Zezimus.

Summary:

As the Dwarven Legion, coupled with Orcish allies, marches towards the Docks of Vaerhaven, they encounter some resistance. The Dock has been covered in ice, and the soldiers must combat the beasts that have taken their home inside the destroyed dock.

As they overcome the small creatures, the army marches into the frozen cave, descending down the great pit, and arriving in a large cavern, facing a large wooden door, covered in runic images. The holder of the hammer, Igor Ireheart, soon discovers that the door’s runes are similar to those on Baradin’s Hammer, and he connects the two by pressing the hammer against the door. Suddenly, the room is filled with a brilliant light, and a small click is heard. As the light disappears, an enormous cavern with prebuilt stone structures is revealed to Dwarven eyes.

As they begin to descend the great stairs, the army is met with a mass number of feral beasts, all emitting an icy glow from their eyes. Slowly, the Dwarven Army pushes through the growing number of beasts, and finds themselves facing an ice and stone wall, manned by Ondnarch’s Legion.

As they begin to fight the hordes of beasts, and magic of the cultists, Igor Ireheart notices similarities in the runic writings on the gate of the wall, and the hammer. As he tries the same thing with this new gate, a white light blasts throughout the cavern, temporarily halting all attacks and disabling cultist magic. However, as Dwarven legionnaires rush through, they are assaulted by hordes of minions.

Once again the Dwarves slowly push back the Legion of Ondnarch, trapping them back in their castle fortification. As they enter the castle, they notice a dwarf-like figure chained to the dark throne of Ondnarch, in the back of the castle. After seeing this Dwarf, the army begins to push harder and faster, and begins to overcome the last points of resistance, and in the process decapitates three of Ondnarch’s Shallmandrils. Once they reach him, the Dwarf cries out in joy as he is reunited with his brethren. He begins to tell them of the area that the last Shallmandril, Vrizuum Vri is holding out in, and promises to help them once he has died.

As the Dwarven Legion confronts Vri, they notice him begin to disappear, and the room begin to go through several transformations, first being blazingly hot, then going into a sticky, slimy kind of mood. Finally, Vri reveals himself and picks three legionnaires out, and quickly slaughters them, before becoming overwhelmed by the others.

After picking themselves out of the dank room, the legion picks it’s four best fighters, Paragon Kjell Ireheart, Hiebe Irongut, Hogarth Irongut, and Fili Grandaxe, and allow them to follow the so far unnamed former Dwarf prisoner. As they follow him, the Dwarf reveals to them the four holy Shallmandril weapons, as well as maps of the deep roads and a great deal of knowledge regarding feral elves and ice morphs. As they begin to leave the area, the Dwarf reveals his name as Darenth Verum, and promises to lead them through the Deeproads in an elven week. He mentions that the time to face Ondnarch is approaching, and all must be prepared to face the great Aengul.

Infested Sewers

Creators: Origin_Lark, SnowShovel

Builders: Senda, Bathrugman

The combined forces of the Decterum and Lucienists stand outside the wretched smelling sewers

Plague masks pull taut and faces contorted in disgust under their visors as rats scurry in and out

of the sewers. Lark Steelwall and Wilfreche Buron stand at the head of the group, pulling their visors down and raising their swords, leading the group into the dark unknown of Abresi. As the men fill into the entrance, the smell of refuse hits them like a brick, an occasional sewer hobo rouses from his sleep and looks at the passing group, armed with swords and torches, prepared for a fight.

As the warriors make their way through the sewers they are met by hordes of rats and plague ridden hobos. The presence of the disease seems to grow greatest as they make their way into the lower levels of the sewers. Eventually they make their way into a dark room.."Light a torch!" barks one of the commanding officers. As light fills the room, a large rat head statue is illuminated by the torchlight. Horror in their eyes, the soldiers begin discussing about what exactly is down in the darkest depths of the sewers...But as they do..rats and cultists apparently that seem to worship the rat drop down from above, an epic fight ensues, blade against knife, Godanistan against Rat. The day is one by the crusaders, with few casualties. But this seems to be only the beginning...

Making their way deeper into the sewers, the crusaders happen upon what appears to be the source of the issue, rats scurry about the septic tank of the sewers, now a breeding ground for disease and filth.

3ae3fc4f37b4efec1eb5f2154fbefca2.png

Quickly exterminating the threat, the crusaders begin making their way around, checking every crevice for rats. Exhausted, smelly, and tired, the crusaders look toward the sound of rushing water, only one area left to check. Making their way down, the most horrific sight is beheld before them…

Big Bertha, The Mother Rat

Many casualties were had as the mother overcame the large force of fighters. Calling for a retreat, many began to fall back except for one brave Raevir man who tried to fight the beast one on one..sadly he perished as well. The survivors take this harsh defeat as a sign from Godanistan to prepare for the next battle..

The Purification of the Frost Aengul

Creator: 30326

Builder:30326

Actors:30326, xSpullerx

Summary: As the Dwarven Horns stopped their call, Darenth began to march them towards the inner valley, and towards the Deeproads that would bring them to Ondnarch. Soon, however, they found that the winter storms had reached their pinnacle, and the Dwarven and Snow Elven Armies were being buffeted by ice and snow. This storm though was short lived, and the Dwarves quickly reached their destination, Kal’Urir, and their entryway into the Deeproads.

After falling down into the pit, the Dwarves marched on, and quickly encountered a frost crystal. After meeting their first one, they found that it could summon Ondnarch’s beasts for a short time, before self destructing. As the army continued it’s march, they encountered three more Crystals, and several villages of feral elves. Nothing could stand in their way and survive. In a just a short time, the army had reached the pit of the broodmother. As they reached her lair, a great shriek shook the caverns, and hundreds upon hundreds of eggs cracked open. Suddenly, the cavern was filled with small and large spiders..

Hordes upon hordes of minions lined the halls of Kal’Azgoth, ready to overwhelm the Dwarven invaders, and they did. The Dwarven army was shattered by the hordes, and nearly defeated. They did, though have one ally still left. It was then, in the Dwarves’ time of peril, that the Great Gate of Azgoth shook, and cracked. The Armies of Horen and Krug had arrived to lend their strength. The Hordes of Ondnarch shook in their armor as the roaring faces of Humans and Orcs arrived on the battlefield, combatting the large numbers. Luckily for the Horde, Ondnarch had summoned his personal vanguard. The Vanguard went to work, and quickly began smashing at the invading army, chopping away slowly at their numbers. It was then, that Igor Ireheart disappeared from the battlefield.

Igor found himself in the throne room, beside Darenth and facing Ondnarch. Before Ondnarch could speak, Darenth spoke to Igor, “Because of your clan staying loyal to mine in the past, I shall offer you a word of advice. Press the hammer to his skin, that is all. Ah yes, and in the next world, remember your true loyalties.”. With that said, Darenth exited the throne room through a secret exit Grand King Thorin had made.

Igor stood firm against the gaze of Ondnarch, holding his gaze. Suddenly, Ondnarch spoke, “Come wielder of Barradin, do your best.”. As he finished, a chill shot through the room, covering the walls in frost and bringing forth three of Ondnarch’s minions. Igor however, slashed through these three, and took this advantage to let his comrades in to the castle. With the combined force of three races’ armies, they rushed Ondnarch, allowed Igor to smash the Hammer into Ondnarch’s scales. Suddenly, a bright light poured from Ondnarch and the Hammer, exploding and sending the white light to flash across Anthos. Igor had flown across the room from the explosion, the hammer destroyed, and his heart stopped.

A brilliant light began to spread from Ondnarch’s body, as his scales drained of the darkness, and he began to rise again, this time anew. Soon he spoke. “I am free sons of Urguan, Horen, and Krug, and have purged a great evil from this land. The Aengul Ondnarch is no more, and I, Wyrvun, have replaced him in my pure state. I will continue to watch over the deep frost once again, and make sure it does not consume me again. I have chosen my champion though, and Igor Ireheart shall rise to the Halls of the Brathmordakin as my Paragon, he shall be the avenger of the Dwarves. Ah, and your gifts shall arrive outside your capitals soon. Be aware and watchful, for I fear an ancient evil shall return and bring doom to the children of Urguan once again.” As he finished, Wyrvun flew out of Kal’Azgoth, smashing the gate and then disappearing into a flash of light.

After picking up the Dead bodies of Igor and Paragon Kjell Ireheart, the Dwarves and their allies marched home in a somber tone, ready to resume their regular lives once again.

Jaren is a very unlucky man, being chased by boarmen also known as the Bohra. The hunt led them to the Conclave, where they were repelled by its braze citizens. But something didn't feel right. Why did the boarmen come so far away from the wall, and why chase a single man? Mysteries unsolved, they planned a Northern Expedition, to bring the fight to the Bohra Chieftain, Radagask.

Once they had reached the North, Bohra started firing down upon them from the overhangs. After fighting through the few bohra defenders, the Expedition Team began to explore Radagask’s dungeon, and found a disturbing secret within the depths of his home.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Creator:Gaiusmarius8

Builder:

Actors:Gaiusmarius8

nomad-camp.jpg?w=584&h=320

"Lo... a few of our tribesmen were fools. See as they linger a nomad cycle, at an abandoned camp; lit with fire and smoldering embers. The crystals of corruption bound themselves to the wood of our yurts and the fibre of our leathers are fringed. We know who took our four stragglers, but I do doubt we will see them again. Setherien heard the rumor and he wanted the swiftest for himself. I'll be damned if he can use them for long, they may be of my blood, but they are corrupted evermore."

Sertorius al-Hallaj and the Khagan look away morosely, leaving the old camp to decay and mounted their stallions. They rode south whereas the four rode north.

Approaching the floating obelisk, the air filled with soot, ash, and smoldering dust, the four Subudai begin to look about in terror and bewilderment. The riders felt hopeless as grotesque men marched at their flanks and held chains wrapped around each horse's neck. A gaunt and mocking appearance rose overhead as the prisoners and their captors marched further into the icy North. A cat o' nine tails appeared in each captors' left hands upon stopping short of the shadow of the floating obelisk, a series of whips and taunts brought down upon the tribesmen and their steeds. The crying out shamed a singular figure and silenced his own stallion in the far distance, unable to assist the four as they suffered as the transcendent umbra cast from side to side as it issued encouragement to its servants.

"While my veterans have struck too weakly upon the populace spread across Anthos, I have devised a new plan of true cunning. You shall be whipped till your spirit breaks so that I may mold you, to entreat you with resistance to the swords of the many of Man. They are as superstitious and falsely religious as they are populous. Therein lies the weakness of the first to be folded in my firm grip. You will serve me well so that I may roll the many dead bodies and the captured onto the rest of Anthos."

The umbra seemed to compress, an eerie inhale echoing across the landscape before it casts itself down upon the four horsemen. Sliding off their stallions, one after the other, their figures seemed to shrink as they cringed and their muscles convulsed and drew them into bent positions. Their bodies contorted as they reacted to the metamorphosis cast upon them. A strange silence fell along the snowed glen, the servants stepping back as each Subudai began to stretch their bodies back out to reveal horrifying scenes. One horseman began to catch fire as plates of wrought, tarnished-blue iron clamped themselves around his entire body. One horseman began to grow bloated, a gangrenous green overtaking his skin complexion. One horseman began to shrivel, parts of raw flesh and bone exposing themselves as he murmured painfully. The last horseman stood out from the rest, a proud guffaw uttered as a cryptically regal appearance dressed him in ribbons of gold and sky blue.

Taken aback, the singular figure stood in melancholy from behind a stalagmite. The four horsemen began to slowly pick themselves up, turning themselves before the umbra that by now retracted from the four and floated before them. One by one, each of the corrupted horsemen bowed on a knee as a tome heralded their presence. Falling back as if in a trance, the lone figure dashed through the snow away from the scene without a thought for steed or belongings.

The Falling Star

Creator: Cjmate8

Builder/Helper: Cruzazul8

The meteor descended towards Gronkkston, slamming into the arena there. The Harbinger of Flame began to crawl out of the meteor husk.

The people gathered around to see the crash and began shooting arrows without warning. These arrows were set on far, and the Harbinger ignited the entire arena in flames, causing them to step back.

After that, the Harbinger summoned flame sprites from the conflagration. They wreaked havoc, killing several people. After that, Bernabus Whitewolf cast a mist on the area and put out the fire.

The people then charged the crater and pummeled the Harbinger, who was now just a husk because his flames had been put out. They killed it, beat it into dust, and the creature exploded.

Flood Waters

Summary:

Clouds begin to gather above the conclave, darkening as they gathered rain and swelled, ready to burst. Residents and visitors looked up in dismay, not liking the sight of them after the last time. Guards called for the quick collection and placement of sandbags as they attempt to protect the most valuable areas.

The clouds burst as they reach their maximum density and fast, heavy rain begins to pour down, immediately soaking those not undercover or inside. Frightened children and worn adults hurried inside their homes as the men began to fight the rain, pailing water out from behind the barriers as it continues to fall.

Lightning strikes the gatehouse, glowing as the stone is heated warm only to be cooled instantly from the rain. The lake begins to flood taller, spilling up across the banks as the rainwater fills it. Quickly, the floodwater becomes an issue, sloshing about around the barriers as it attempts to find its way past. Within minutes, the lake is at the height of the barrier and begins to spill over it, soaking those who chose to attempt to fight it.

Eventually, the entire lake has risen about two foot, flooding the majority of the land around the Conclave.

Summary:

With the victory over the Old Sanctuary Grounds, the mortals felt far more confidant. The alliance of the mortal races took their eyes onto the North now, more precisely the entrance to the northern mountains, protected by Scourge walls. They prepared their armies, and their siege engineers, and marched north. A battle was started, once more the battle between mortals and Servants happened for hours as the Trebuchets launched their rocks onto the walls, trying to open a path. While some attacked the walls directly through the front, another group of mortals went to flank, finding a way around the tall mountain walls or through them. From behind and from the front the Harbingners were attacked. Slowly the mortals fell, yet with little losses, they had learnt from the battle before. This is until he came. A massive dark dragon flew over the mountains, and went down towards the army of mortals. Setherien had come to destroy and kill many of the mortals. While Setherien stayed in the battlefield, the losses of the mortals were great, and none of their attacks would seem to even damage him. Finally a stone of the Siege weapons crashed into the gates, opening a way for the mortals to pass, now surrounding the Harbingers who were unprotected. Setherien flew to destroy the Siege equipment, but it was too late, most of the Harbingers had been defeated. Setherien, after killing more and more mortals, finally decided to leave, his reasons as to why he left unknown, as he appeared unhurt. Without their leader and their forces down, soon the remaining Harbingers fell as well. The mortal forces had removed the Scourge from the entrance of the north.
