What is roleplaying?: - Creating a character and taking the place as him/her, and acting as if you were in that moment of time or place.

What’s metagaming?: - Taking out of character information and using it too benefit your character like giving him/her knowledge they don't know at that point

What’s powergaming?: - Getting your character over powered equipment and using it to your advantige

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Alphon was just a little boy when his mother and father was taken by the Black Scourge, after their door was battered down by the ferocious Harbingers, his mother slipped through a small hole in their home from previous attackes, and just before she got yanked back into the crumbling house she managed to drop the basket holding her beloved son, into the stream that flowed into the city of Asulon. An Elf Farmer was just gathering water just as she shead a glimpse of a floating object in the distance, she heard some cries! she quickly called for her whole family to see the crying basket, as they had thought it was a cursed child, they brung it to the cloud temple immediately, after inspection by a monk and after many rituals and prairs, he had thought the curse had been broken by now, but he saw when he opened that basket that it had only been a dirty human baby. The elven family felt bad after mounths of searching in all the city's of Anthos, they had no response of the little boys parents, so they just disided to take the child into their care and nurture it untill he had been old enough to live on his own, they had to name him after not knowing his name, so after tons of discussion within the family they desided to call him Alphon. And so from than on Alphon was respeacted as their own and, how could other elfs know that he was not an elf? he spoke and did the same things as all the rest of them. and since Alphon was a little boy he had no idea that he was an orphan. But when he was 21, he had been cleaning out some of the drawers in the room of his mother, he had found a note from his mother that had stated that if he had been found, the family that had taken him would be in carge of him, it had a drop of blood at the bottem of the page that was next to a faded out word saying, Al!; & J^h#.


What are they like (personality)?: - Sociable, Athletic, Friendly, and Flirty

What are their ambitions?: - Find the killer of his parents.

Do they have any special skills?: - He has learned to be stealthy, from hanging out with elven children when was young. Some skill with magic, from training with the Monk that Blessed him.

What are their weaknesses?: - Scared of the dark, Can't swim, and weakness to the Dark Arts.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Blond Hair, Brown Eyes, Brown shirt with a pair of black pants, Brownish/Blackish Shoes.

Your application has been denied for the following reasons:

 

- Your powergaming definition is incorrect. Please research the correct definition and provide us with the answer in your own words. I'd recommend using this page to research definitions: http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Roleplaying

 

- Your biography was a bit incoherant. In the very first sentance, your character's parents are already being attacked by the Scourge. Being attacked by the Scourge is fine, but not in the very first sentance; Before we've even gotten to know your character or his parents. It's also worth mentioning; Anthos is a realm, not a city. The whole part about the people thinking the basket was a cursed child was a little funny, but not exactly plausible; All these adults didn't think to just look in the basket that whole time? Also, Elves and Humans are quite easy to distinguish; Elves are usually fairly taller than Humans and have much longer, as well as pointed, ears.  The last part of your bio is extremely confusing... Who exactly was this note from; His 'real' mother or adopted mother? If his real mother, how did his foster parents get the note if they never found his real parents? If his adoptive mother, how could she have written the note if she was being attacked...? Your biography really needs a lot of work to make more sense and explain itself rather than randomly throwing in nonsensical events. I will say, however, you did include sufficient lore.

 

- Some of your skills need a bit more explanation. You can't just have skill in magic without having any explanation of it in your bio. Please add a few in-depth sentences explaining how he acquired his magic skills.

 

Most of your application wasn't bad, but your biography was extremely confusing. Try to work on it so all of the events are well explained and make sense to the reader rather than throwing together a series of seemingly random events. For the most part though, not bad.
