Dark Clouds Move Inland...

Clouds spread like a hungover shadow over the Dread Lands, each rumble within the celestial objects sending a groan throughout the land. The river of Desolation heaved back and forth as a tremor ran through the land. Dark figures stood amongst in the a circle, all chanting to one object in the center, bearing forth an eye. The land was active, but soon not to be.

“O’ Dark Lord, deliver us from our ignorance

Only you can guide us through the chaos

Through you, we shall deliver forth a new land;

Wrought out of the ash, a perfect diamond.”

After the ecstatic chanting, the circle formed a ring of prayer. They were calling upon their Dark Lord for the things further, to what they had to do. It was decided that their idleness would not come tolerated, and the Will of Iblees must spread to the civilizations. It was the age of mobilization. And so the accursed followers packed whatever little they had and tread forth on the paths of man, to an abandoned fortress. Upon discovery, it was wretched in being and bits and pieces of corruption flowed between the cracks of the aged stone. Down went the worshippers of the Dark Lord, profusely muttering his great works.

“We have starved, and he has fed.

We have thirsted, and he has given us drink.

Let us carry out his Will, for he has done for us tenfold.”

And once again, dormant gates that remained open slammed shut. The forces of the Dark Lord had been awoken, and the felling of hammers echoed throughout the once empty halls. The chanting of his followers and the scent of ashes traveled far to the Descendant races.

“Time and time the Descendants fail

But you shall never fail us, O’ Dark One

You shall endure and stay, let you come onto this heathenous world

And bring the New Age.”

 

His Will had come to them.
