The King of Kaedrin and the Emperor of Humanity

His Imperial Majesty, Peter Chivay, Emperor of Oren, King of Kaedrin, Salvus, and Renatus, Sovereign of Aeldin, Senior Protector of the Aeldinic Peoples, Duke of the Westerlands, Count of Rhoswen and Peakard, Baron of Yarton, Chosen of Saint Owyn, The First Sparrow, and the Guardian of the Yaruga, has been crowned officially as the Emperor of Oren, and has thus far inherited the responsibilities and duties of the former Emperors: Protecting and preserving Humanity.

The Emperor has also gathered the colloquial title of The Restorer, and has been working tirelessly to restore the once-proud Holy Oren Empire to the glory it had under the reign of Godfrey I and Horen V.

The once independent noble houses of Anthos and the Fringe have united under the Imperial banner, and the most recent news from the Imperial Administration is a declaration of War upon the false elven nation known as the Princedom of Fenn.

A Tour of Kaldonia: Hadrian’s Wall

Kaldonia, the Imperial Capital. The newly constructed city has a great deal of sights and monuments to see, all exhibiting and emulating the strength and power of the new Empire, the Imperium Tertius. ‘A Tour of Kaldonia’ will take you throughout the city, describing the many landmarks and architectural masterpieces that make up the Imperial city. The first stop on our tour is the imposing defense known as Hadrian’s Wall.

Hadrian’s Wall. Built and finished in 1457, the design was originally made by Hadrian “Philly” Fitzroy of Kaedrin, who proposed and oversaw the construction of a border wall to keep out the barbaric and inherently hostile faction known as the White Fangs away from the construction of the city. Originally only a few meters tall in height, the persistent White Fangs’ attempts at raids forced Hadrian to expand the height of the wall, providing a stronger and more formidable bulwark against the foolish and simple-minded White Fang aggressors. Several small skirmishes occurred at the wall, until the White Fangs, realizing they stood no chance against properly disciplined Kaedreni soldiers, migrated far away from the wall and the Empire.

With the immediate threat gone, the Empire expanded quickly, capitalizing on the opportunity and building upon the former White Fang settlement. Meanwhile, back at the wall, Hadrian had enlisted the help of the Grand Architect, Chet Silsbury, to improve upon the defenses of the wall, to defend not only against petty raids, but against a true invading force.

Today, Hadrian’s Wall stands as a superimposing bastion of Imperial authority and power, and all those who look upon it know that the glory of Oren lies beyond its gates.

The current garrison of Hadrian's Wall are the Sons of Adrian, led by Lord Maurice de Sarkozy.

Wargames!

The Imperial Marshal, in efforts to consolidate and evaluate the levies and forces of the Empire, has established a series of Wargames to be held outside Kaldonia. Utilizing several acres of land, the Imperial Marshal has repurposed the land to accommodate trenches, a field hospital, archery range, and two mock forts to train siege techniques. The Imperial Marshal plans to hold official Wargames frequently, ensuring the efficiency and discipline of both the noble levies and the Exercitus Imperium.

The Marshal will also be organizing the Exercitus into their official cohorts, assigning military tribunus-commanders and establishing disciplinarians and a formal structure to the Exercitus.

Additionally, the Prince Robert will also be hosting private training sessions, held between Wargame periods to better train and discipline the noble levies, offering advice, support, and experience.

The Monster of the Church

Grave and unsettling news has broken the sanctity of the Church of the True Faith, an independent body supported by the Imperium Tertius. The former High Pontiff, Pius Secundus, has been charged with both Sodomy and Heresy, attempting to spread the banned Fabian sect of the church.

Fabianism, originally documented by the former Sodomite Fabian Virosi, is a considerably deviant and derelict sect of the True Faith, with its followers believing in sexual liberation, particularly between two or more men. The hedonistic and corrupting sect has been banned since the reign of Lucien Primus.

The former Pontiff has been now officially labelled as a Monster, as per the laws of both the Church and the Empire, declaring his behavior grotesque, strange, and ugly in nature. A considerable bounty has been placed by the Empire for the deviant’s head, to be turned in to the Marked Men’s Office in the capital of Kaldonia.

Aeldin, A Faraway Land: The Heartlands

The first people encountered by those of the Exodus were known as the Heartlanders. Of average height and hosting a mild complexion, the Heartlanders were, besides the Agathorians, one of the most relatable of the people to the Imperials that landed. The Heartlands was the first Imperial province established by the Emperor Horen, and the Heartlander Campaign, led by the now Emperor Peter Chivay, was an easily won victory over a people who quickly realized their soon-to-be Imperial overlords were just and righteous in their cause. Sharing a common distaste for nonhumans, the Imperials and Heartlanders signed a peace agreement two years into the campaign, with the entirety of the Heartlands swearing under the crown of the Empire. This segment will describe a small portion of the Heartlander Campaign:

The King had called his commanders to his tent for a final time, finding this long siege unwanted and unneeded for a war that was already so far won. For ninety-seven days the siege had dragged on, the Barons of Valtian defiant in their acceptance of their new Empire. The walls were formidable and made of ancient and towering flagstones, but even now they had begun to buckle under the combined might of the Heartlander-Imperial force, whose siege engines constantly battered the walls in an endless harassment. An assault was soon coming, and the entire camp began to prepare.

*The rest of the words seem to be faded and illegible.*
