A Quick Word About Air Evocation ((Ooc))

Recommended Posts

Hey there! I would just like to note something, Air evocation isnt really known so im going to clarify something: Wind Evocation, when a large gust of wind is sent at a enemy, It doesnt simply knock you back 2 feet, Air evocation would throw you back quite far as it would most likely blow you off your feet, its not a shove. Even in armour you would be thrown back not just *falls down and gets back up* I have seen that happen way too often, if you get slammed against a wall with wind throwing you back that fast...your not going to get up that quickly...I guess you could compare it to getting hit by a car.I have seen far to often us wind evocationists not having any effect because people assume it is just a little wind...this is not the case It would be quite litteraly about hurricane level winds (atleast that is the level I have discussed with some other evocationists). SO next time you get hit by air, remember that. that is all - aqua

Do not forget when using magic, if you use a lot of magic at the same time you will feel very tired and wouldn't be able to produce that same amount of power again.

Just a few questions.

How fast/powerful are these winds to be able to, not only knock a man down, but "Throw him against the wall?" Presuming at least in the area of 70-80ish mph, and that's not including someone who could be wearing upwards to 40-50 lbs of plate and steadily balanced on their feet, and, of course, simply turning sideways would reduce the amount you'd be pushed by drastically.

My main point is, really, to quite literally throw someone against the wall, specifically armored warriors, who I'm going to assume you oft fight against/mean for this post to be about, you would need /outrageous/ amounts of power, magic or not. How long does it take a mage to summon this? What "tier" (pardon if I'm using that wrong, not a mage myself) must one be to do this? Can they do it without causing a small hurricane (and essentially disabling themselves)?

If a wind evo's smart and powerful they'd run from that. You can't be surrounded by a party of warriors and just be an ass. With wind evoking, though, if it's 1v1, a wind-evocationist if they used most of their mana could produce a massive wave of air.

The more powerful the spell, the more charging emotes you have is my philosophy.

*Gives you all the claps and appreciation since most people tend to act as if it is fanning someone when you have actually conducted a large wind*

Yes you do have the correct general wind speed, An armoured man would still be knocked back and presumably stunned but less so, Tier to be able to knock down an armoured man is about 3, now I am a level 5, (If we are speaking in the old tier system). I prefer 3-5 emotes or so depending on the said amount. Wind is meant to keep people back, not kill them. I am creating a revised guide so soon you shall know more.
