What do you think the server will be like?: Perhaps a little busy, or filled with player of varying experience. Mainly good quality though.

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: The rules forbidding Out-Of-Character racism. Although In-Character racism makes for interesting interaction, I despise racists.

 

Definitions

 

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the adoption of a fictional identity and persona, mainly for entertainment purposes. Similar to an actor playing a part on stage.

 

What’s metagaming?: Metagaming is the use of information learned out-of-character by your in-character persona. Mainly the use of information you couldn't possibly know IC, usually for personal benefit. Example: " (OOC) 'Oh, that's a cool secret base you have there with lots of hidden traps and loot.' (IC) 'Verily, I shall plunder this secret base I totally found by accident and by-pass all of these traps I know are there BECAUSE MAGIC' "

 

What’s powergaming?: Powergaming is the use of IC commands in a way that lets you do the impossible, or force something on someone so they have no choice in the matter. Example " *Bobby O'Lastname instantly slices Johnny Watsisface in the throat, killing him without any chance for him to react or survive* "

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): Blechkt was born in a gutter in the slums of Abresi, in the realm of Anthos. He was named after the first sound to come out of his mouth. Blechkt was born to a beggar-woman and a father that had left long before he was born. Shunned and rejected by his mother and society because of his physical deformities, ugly features and unlikable personality, he took to begging in the streets as a form of survival. Taking odd-jobs for little pay and begging for coin seems the norm for him, as he knows no other form of existence.He has toiled on like this, not amounting to anything really, grumbling about minor slights and bothering people for their shiny objects for nearly 3 decades, until somehow managing to stumble through the portal to the Fringe after getting drunk and following a trail of pocket change dropped by a careless nobleman.  

 

What are they like (personality)?: Blechkt is a grumpy, dim-witted, anti-social man, who can often be seen grumbling about the rain or sore feet or cold drafts for hours on end. His only usual interactions with people involve pestering then for spare change or following them around until something interesting happens (ie. Them calling the guard on their creepy-looking stalker).

 

What are their ambitions?: To not be as hungry as usual, not freeze to death for another night, maybe bother to get some kind of job that requires little skill, and acquire as many shiny objects as possible.

 

Do they have any special skills?: His feeble excuse for skills consists of catching pests and cooking them, pulling together ragged clothing out of whatever he can find or pull off a clothesline, poking anything that offends him in sensitive places with sharp things, brewing moonshine and mild poisons to get drunk on, and generally bothering everyone he comes in contact with. 

 

What are their weaknesses?: He is cowardly, unlikable, very dim-witted, simple, slow, and unskilled.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: Blechkt is dressed in ragged, faded robes that cover most of his body and fester with lice, small insects, and a rodent or two. He wears ruddy brown trousers caked with mud and grime, and carries what little possessions he owns in his belt or in the makeshift sling-bag he wears under his rags. His face is partially hidden beneath a hood, and what little that can be seen is ugly, deeply wrinkled, and covered in warts. His default facial expression seems to be a large frown. His left eye appears to be lazy, and points in a different direction from his other eye. His nose is pointy and crooked, while his hands are long and thin. I'll leave his feet up to your imagination. His voice is hoarse and gravelly, and has been known to make small children cry (he sounds basically sounds like Gilbert Gottfried if he had a British/Cockney accent and gargled gravel every morning).

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: I'm looking forward to playing him, and seeing how he turns out.
