Reklu's Grand Merchant Speech

Reklu stands before the Dwarves and clears his throat to speak.

 

"Ah stan' before ye todah, Sons of Urguan, 'umbled and 'onored to 'ave te chance te serve mah beloved people as te Gran' Merchant. Dis election 'as gud lads runnin' and ah couldn't ov asked fer better competition. Ah fink tat everyune shoul' 'ave a chance te prove temselves at some point and tat be wha' ah aim te do if elected. Ah 'ave seen many fings in mah day and altough ah 'ave spent most of mah latter years foighten on te fron' loine of te Legion, ah do 'ave other skills. Ah believe tat ah 'ave the knowledge and experience needed te do dis job well. Seeing as ah spent many years on a merchant ship when was onleh a beardlin' ah learned a lot about 'ow te be a merchant and 'ave become relatively gud wit moneh. Ah want te bring wealth and gloreh back to te moighty Kingdom of Urguan. Ah want to establish stronger trade relations wit our allies. Ah want to build up te Gran' Merchant guild so tat it runs efficiently and effectively. We 'ave worked long an 'ard fer what is ours and ah can't see tat 'ard work go to waste.

 

If ah am elected as Gran' Merchant ah promise to put mah ideas into action and stroive fer gloreh, cause the fires of industry beh burnin' broight!"

 

He finishes his speech with passion, steps down smiling, and enters the crowd talking to kin and listening to their remarks.
