Honestly I liked how Aegis was perfectly. I loved how there was always people on kings road, shops and such etc. I remember my group the "Nical Empire" pissed off a few orcs and literally a few hours later at our castle an army of probably 30 orcs show up surrounding us, honestly every aspect was fun.

Also, I hated how they implented the MMO system, how you cant use an diamond axe if you werent this rank or whatever, I just hated it. 

 

Also you couldnt mine anything as well.

Maturity killed this place. People grew up and started living their lives while playing on here, and the personality of the majority changed a good deal. It's going to revive, but I doubt Aegis will ever come back, just because of the community change.

I see where you're getting at: When I said anxious I meant not knowing what was going to happen next which I thought was great. The community has lost sight of character based personal plots and don't sit back and ask themselves, "How would [insert named here] react to this normally?" Or hell... maybe they do and they just believe their characters to be mindless shits who kill a man for a simple insult. I'm a hypocrite to say these things but whatever. At least I'm aware. 

I really want this kind of RP to come back. It just doesnt feel like a different world anymore.  There were moments where I used to put a lot of effort into my character's personality and watching him grow overtime, but no one really takes their roleplay seriously or put any effort to it, as a result I just stopped giving shits about the RP I give because no one does either.

 

Back in the old days it used to be character based, but now RP in itself gets driven by the player's OOC feelings and drama. Progression becomes pointless because of OOC. Instead of working your way up to greatness IC, you have OOC friends handing things to you. Now the only way to have a place in RP is through OOC reputation.

 

As a result, roleplay in itself isn't fun anymore.

I think it is mainly how slowly the server actually gets new players, and how unaccepting the "veterans" are to those noobs. Our community is almost entirely based on Aegis/Asulon people.

 

I mean who wants to be the guy that teaches the noob how to do basic stuff that they've already been through... This may not be you, but I personally love bringing in noobs. Keeps things fresh, plus, it gets them intigrated into the game so the community can actually have some fun, rather than being 400 18-20 year olds with half of them having a stick up their ass.

 

I would love to see more of this as well. I feel sorry for the new players who get harassed and made fun off because they get bashed for unknowingly playing characters that are frowned upon.

stop being a sourpuss. Most people aren't dicks to new people unless they're the most dicky person you know. The fringe has scared people off to wait until 4.0, nothing else. your negativity makes me want to stop role-playing and dig myself into a hole and sing about daisies to try and make myself feel better. (I'm actually not trolling, stop discouraging this nice man. There is plenty of good things like the loss of VAs and return of PvP default.)

This is a temporary map, so a lot of people have lost interest. However, the 4.0 map isn't far off.

No, axed years ago. We have the upcoming Nexus plugin that means you can craft better items with more skill, but we don't have skill-based crafting restrictions. The only thing you can't make at the moment are diamond weapons and armour, which is fine because nobody else can either. Iron's the top tier of weaponary.

Pah, no worries man. Anyways, the server is just somewhat quiet due to folks waiting for the next official and legitimate map. What we are on is a "temp map" of sorts. When 4.0 rolls, you'll be seeing 150-250+ players like we had in the last official map.
