Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: RolePlay is something you can act upon, usually with a character. In other words you act real as of you were a real person. You strictly stay IC and RP yourself as whatever you would like too. RPers are expected to use good grammar while creating a backbone to their character. Always refrain from abbreviations, similes faces and other.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Using OOC information ICly. Like names, something you saw in forum and use it IC.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Something that is imposible in real life. Like jump of a very high mountain and run like nothing happened.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

How old are they?: - 262 years

 

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Elidyr was born in a small house  in the forest near the Old Malinor. In his childhood, he was coming back from the forest they live in, after hunt, carrying few rabbits in his hand, together with his father – Alair, when they were stopped on the road. It was 3 orcs, holding heavy weapons in their hands. Elidyr was ordered to run back to the woods by his father, while he tried to stop the orcs. Elidyr barely managed to escape from them, but his father didn’t. Elidyr saw how he was killed by the second orc. From that time, he didn’t come back home, because he ran where he never been, he was lost. After few days of wandering around the woods, he found a small village where an old man fed him and took care of. The man’s name was Herius. Elidyr lived in his house for a week and then left. The old man gave him a bow and arrows that belonged to him when he was a kid. Elidyr took the bow and left to travel around the world, train his archery skills and maybe learn magic spells on his way.

After few months of traveling – the plague came. While traveling from town to town he saw many sick people. Luckily he didn’t get sick as he stayed in the woods, avoiding cities on his road. After the plague, he spent 20 years wandering the lands of Anthos and the Fringe looking for the orcs that killed his father, but so never found them.

 

What are they like? (personality): - Always is very careful, silent, doesn't like to stay in one place for a longer time.

 

What are their ambitions?: - Travel around the world, train his archery skills, thinks about learning magic, maybe one day join a guild or clan.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Elidyr is very good with bow, good at hunting. His weaknesses: isn't very skilled in close combat, doesn't trust many people.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: - Blue eyes, long blond hair, ranger clothing.

-Your application is strewn with typos and syntax errors.

-Having one's parents killed by random orcs, than going off to get revenge on said orcs is EXTREMELY cliche and overused.

-You dont explaim how your character actually got skilled with a bow and got skilled at hunting.. Did he hunt with his dad..? Did he practice with a bow as a child?

-Your minecraft skin is an extremely overused and generic elf skin. Perhaps make some changes? Get a different skin?

-Your character's description says your character has blue eyes, yet your minecraft skin has green eyes.
