Unable To See Skins

hi, i just started with my new character in Thales but i've found i can't see other peoples skins on the server, everyone shows up as steve. skins show fine for me on other servers just not lotc. does anybody have any suggestions/solutions?

If you're on a version of Minecraft below 1.7.9 or 1.7.10 than upgrade to either one of those versions to be able to see other peoples skins.

Do /show mcnames or /showmcnames forget which I had the same problem and this fixed it.

Either update to Minecraft 1.7.9/1.7.10 or do /showmcnames when you log in and that will fix it.
