Ok so 2 things, first how do I combat roleplay and how do I exactly ask someone to fight me. And please give me an example of a combat dialogue. Second how do I change my characters story? Like do I need to whitelist again or what do I do?

1. Most of the combat on the server is done by PvP, though remember that you have to type several emotes before beginning it. An example of a combat emote could be as simple as something like the following:

*swings their sword at target, hoping to strike them in the leg

*raises their shield to block an incoming attack

Just remember to not power game and force the emote on another player. Let them choose.

 

2. If I recall, minor modifications are allowed to your character's story. You are also free to make a new character without writing another application.

So I just say *I swing my sword, trying to cut his arm* and then I actually kill him through pvp. Or do I say * I throw my dagger trying to hit his leg* and we keep fighting by words?

You have warn them that you are going to PvP them and provide more than one emote (personally I'd suggest more than three.) Once you are both ready to fight, count down via L-OOC ie. ((5, ((4 etc. But if you both agree, you may keep fighting via emotes.

You may chose between fighting in PVP or fighting in roleplay emotes.

 

Fighting in PVP means you have to warn the opponent at the start of the fight that you wish to PVP instead of Emote fight throught use of LOOC. Then you would have to wait for him to ackowldge that you are about to start PVP, and only then start a countdown in LOOC before trying to kill the other in PVP. To start PVP your character has to be able to fight back against the attacker (unless he is the attacker), this means if he is incapacitated, cuffed, sleeping, held still, or attacked from behind, you can not chose to PVP, you have to first get your character to be able to fight back.

 

Example:

*Jistuma dumps water on RaFeal as he sits on the bar*

*RaFeal turns agressively towards Jistuma and yells "What did you do that for?"

"Because you smell, even thought you look like a princess" Jistuma comments with a smirk on his face.

"You bastard!" RaFeal says as he draws his blade

*Jistuma jumps back and draws his knife*

((I would perfer we fight using PVP))

((I guess sure, if you want)) - You won't get this answer many times thought.

((Alright, I'll count down.))

((5))

((4))

((3))

((2))

((1))

((GO!))

-PVP fight starts-

-Jistuma loses the PVP fight by being knocked out. PVP ends, and rp returns-

-RaFeal may chose to kill or spare Jistuma, up to him-

 

Emote fighting means the whole fight is done through emotes, and you may incorporate rolls into the middle. They take longer but have more details. In these fights you have to be careful not to powergame, sometimes it's easy to powergame and happens a lot when you don't want to lose a fight. The default fighting style is PVP, but that only means if one of the fighters want PVP it reverts to that. On the other hand, you can NOT switch from an emote fight to a PVP fight mid fight, nor can you enter a fight of someone else and make it a PVP fight. Once a fight becomes an emote fight, you can not turn it to PVP.

 

Example:

*Jistuma dumps water on RaFeal as he sits on the bar*

"You bastard!" RaFeal says as he draws his blade

*RaFeal swings the sword sideways towards the side of Jistuma*

*Jistuma jumps back to stay away from the hit "Whoa there! Be careful with that toy~!" he winks at RaFael*

*RaFeal shouts as he pulls his sword up to point at Jistuma and rushes towards him, to try and stab the chest*

*Jistuma is taken aback, and turns to not get impaled, being hit by the rush and thrown further back into the ground.*

*RaFeal points the sword towards his oponent "You bastard are going to apologise and pay back for what you did!"

*Jistuma pushes himself away from the sword, eying the tip*

. . .

 

And so on, these are just examples btw, and things not always go this smoothly.

Wait so lets say were emote fighting, how do I know of he got hit or I got hit. Cause we can just go on forever saying that I crouched and dodged his arrow or that I jump and evade his sword.

Each side gets to emote if they were hit or not. Sometimes role-play fights can happen as you said, PvP is the default system of combat to prevent it from happening unless both sides agree to.

This is how most powergaming comes from. Evading and ducking and defending everything could be considered powergaming. You have to read the attacks done to your character and react acordanly. If your character is weaker or stronger, taller or shorter, faster or slower, has better reflexes or worse, has good or bad tecnique, has good or bad stamina, and so on. Creating a character that is good at everything is mostly considering bad roleplay, and that normally doesn't work well because others will at least think their characters are better than your character at at least one thing.

 

The point of the emote fighting is to have fun thought.

PVP fights are mostly a way to end combat faster. You do get racial perks in PVP fights depending on the race of your character. And you get them in RP as well most of the times.

Question, how do I delete a character (I didnt like the character I put in my whitelist application) And where do I post my new character? Like I want to make a dwarf character but the one I whitelisted is a Human. How do I change that?

Also since im fairly new can anyone link me to a newbie guide. Like I literally spawned at the cloud temple and I checked the map and everything and I had no idea of what to do

You can type /me, then go to personas and delete your made persona, and create a new one.

Often people choose to roll, and whomever rolls higher gets the successful move. You can roll by typing /roll in game.
