The syringe had a clear fluid inside of it. It looked nothing like the liquid she requested of her daughter. She didn't know what it was, but she didn't care. Gently she inserts it into her arm, not even wincing to the poking pain that it would cause, injecting the fluid into her system. There she sat on her bedside, peering out the window beside her, looking at the locals, socializing, enjoying themselves. Acceptance is what she wanted, and she would do anything to get it. To be relied and depended on, is what she truly wanted. To her, such goals seemed out of reach, and she decided to give up on them. She felt that she was a ghost to others, betrayed by those she calls allies, and friends. Romances leading to nothing but pain, misery, and hassle. She decided it was time to end it all. It was over. The road to happiness was just a fantasy. The emptiness she felt for 25 years could only be solved in her own hands.

Her limbs felt heavy, and her eyes begin to slowly close. As she thought of those who were "perfect", better than her, and were more valuable, she began to shed tears. She cried, she grew resentful, the self hatred within her grew with each passing moment. She aspired to be like them. She desired recognition and appreciation for her efforts, but she failed. She was ignored and thrown away like trash. She was a failure, she thought.

She lies on her back with her eyes closed, unable to move nor speak. She could only look back at the sad memories she faced  most of her life, and shed more tears. She didn't sob, but she continued to cry silently, until the tears stopped flowing on their own. She falls into a deep slumber, as her eldest daughter watches her.

Kardelwould have simply consumed a mixture of zawabate and night sap with mandragora spores added to quicker the death. Makes for a much more pleasant passing. Nonetheless, it is sad to see another alchemist go.
