gam 386 Share Posted September 12, 2014 New Player Guide Central Hub by Deckolo Commands Here will be listed a few helpful commands. /helpmenu - A good place to check for info on any subject that might not be listed in this guide. Provides info on numerous different topics that can be useful to anyone. /roleplay - Provides a large list of helpful commands. Things such as how to whisper to other players, how to join and leave chats, and more! /join <channel> and /leave <channel> - Allows you to join or leave a chat channel, respectively. /w - Allows you to whisper in roleplay, lowering the radius of which people can hear you. /ooc - Allows you to talk in Out of Character chat. This is where you can go to talk about anything you wish (within the rules, of course). You don’t need to stay in character here. /rp - The In character chat! While using this chat, you must stay in character and act only as your character would. /looc or ((text)) - Typing /looc or playing your text in a set of 2 parenthese allows you to talk in Local Out of Character Chat. This is for solving disputes or asking questions to the people within a certain distance to you. This is not to be abused, and should only be used when needed. /s - Use this command to shout in roleplay. It increases your chat distance so that people farther away can hear you. This is only supposed to be used when it would make sense in RP, so don’t always use this system of chat. /t <playername> - Allows you to PM another player in game. /me - An incredibly important command, this allows you to do things such as edit, create and delete personas. It also allows you to edit your nexus settings, and file a bug report. /money - Allows you to check your balance in minas. /money send <playername> <amount> is another useful command, allowing you to send money to other players. /buddylist - Allows you to add, remove, and check on your friends. /roll - A nifty tool that allows you to roll a virtual dice. Can be used to determine chances of something happening in RP, or even just playing a friendly game of dice with friends. Slang and Useful Lingo This section will give insight on common slang, lingo, and abbreviations often used by players on Lord of the Craft. There are also a multitude of other racial nations, but Oren is the human nation, as are the other ones their respective race. Alras is not a human nation, and most other nations are not of any real size, or are of mixed races. Aesterwald is a very large, extremely human-dominated nation and is close to spawn. It deserves recognition in a guide for new players. He also said it was the Kingdom of Oren which is incorrect. There are other places of an equal size to Aesterwald or, at the very least, there have been. However, LotC tends to only treat racial nations as... well, nations, and give them perks as such. The point of this guide is to teach new players about the various nations and states and whatnot. We shouldn't /not/ tell new players that Aesterwald exists, otherwise they would be very confused and it would deny Aesterwald players. Side note: We should also state that Alras exists on this post, but I cannot think of any other nations that are either racial nations or of significant size that they should be mentioned.
