Calling Arcane Evocationists

A notice is pinned in the Cloud Temple. It seems to be an

open dialogue. Perhaps you take a look?

Hello to all!

First and foremost I apologize for the lack of a proper forum

but I recognize the monks powers to protect this form where it

is so I thought it conveinant.

I am Iatrilemar Elervathar, a Mali'aheral of Haelun'or,

also known as the Caretaker in relative parts of the realm.

What many of you may not know is any relative knowledge

pertaining to the arcane shielding and arcane evocating

magical art forms has stemmed from me.

The magic of arcane evocation was lost to us but through

my work in uncovering and developing it's counterpart,

arcane shielding I was able to form a nearly identical magic

to what it original was.

However I am not here for recognition as I need none.

I have posted this because I am in search of stories.

I am writing a sort of thing that requires inspiration.

I often find it more appropriate to find inspiration

from others and seeing as how Athera has granted

it's people easier gateways to learning magic, my

once private art forms are more widespread than

they were during the Anthosian Era.

So I ask that any arcanist write a short explanation

of their favorite or trademark spell or if you aren't

an arcanist but have witnessed 1st hand the magic I

would appreciate your point of view too.

Relative knowledge that I am looking for;

A description of the spell. Maybe where it

took place and it's purpose.

If you care to tell your aura color and the origin of

your knowledge which led you to learn this magic.

Also if you know any Arcanists or are one, feel free

to visit me in the silver city! Perhaps I can even

tutor you should you be having difficulty with the

magic.

I am eager to here your stories, lliran!

((I just like to hear other people's experiences with the RP

that probably is the reason I am still on the server!))

A folded scroll with purple bindings would be seen attached to the notice board in The Cloud Temple in response to the post.

----------

Dear Iatrilemar Elervathar of Malin descend.

Over the span of my life I've not practiced the magical arts a lot, but rather studied them intensely. However a fond memory of mine I would like to share is from the first time I dared lay my hands on pure arcane evocation after months upon months of studying. It took place in the dully lit and quite narrow chambers of mine, only a few candles would have been seen present, standing by the window in the far end of the room. I myself was standing on the cold stone floor, grasping the golden embedded wand of mine in my sweaty palm. The wand  was quivering up and down as the exhausting and rather taxing sensation most users of the arcane know of, was felt spreading through my bones. A dire frown of what I suppose was concentration could have been seen on my already wrinkled face as for the thousandth of times an almost invisible disturbance in the air, at the tip of the wand was seen, vibrating ever so faintly.

I was tired at this point in time and most of all I had only one desire in mind: To pull a blanket over my head and fall asleep. However, for some inconceivable reason I had convinced myself to try once more. So there I was. And the ebullience I felt upon getting the sensation of having all air getting sucked out of my lungs for just a second, must be something you can relate to: For before my eyes a tiny and light blue wisp was softly floating about in a very aimless manner. In my excitement I yelled out, breaking my deep concentration.

So understandably it disappeared from the face of the world. Only having been into existance for a very short while. Then I noted it, and went to bed with a smile. Aye, what an evening that was. I've yet to pick up my wand again and try Arcane Evocation once more. But the studies and memories I have gained from that time have proved quite useful, so I suppose I can personally thank you for sharing the knowledge you gained upon rediscovering this ancient art.

So thank you.

With the most sincerest of regards from:

- John Lartius Fredfort.

Novtorn mumbles something about Silus Iullius Horen being an Arcane Evocationist, though he died plenty of years ago in the Fringe.

Salamandra stands silently for the period of a minute (approx), copying the text from the poster onto another piece of paper, only to then walk off with it. Nothing was said, and nothing else was done.
