New Character Revenge Plots Allowed? Even If Ic Knowledge Was Accidental?

Let's say I made a character with no initial intention of going on a revenge quest on those who killed her mother. After gaining IC knowledge of those who supposedly killed her.(doesnt have to be the exact person, race, etc, could be an innocent guy) she plans on getting revenge.

 

I wanted to hopefully make this into an Arya Stark-like storyline, and felt that revenge could be some interesting roleplay.

 

Again, the IC knowledge would be something that just happens. Nothing is premeditated through OOC, and all knowledge would be gained IC. If there was any metagaming involved, it would be unintentional. At first glace, it may sound like bad roleplay because people usually make characters specifically for this purpose, but I did not. It was played normally until the IC knowledge was being flaunted.
 

If I make a new character with no initial intentions on getting revenge, and there was enough IC knowledge to stage some revenge RP, is it still bannable to go take revenge, even though the RP simply just happened, not planned, premeditated, or intended?

 

If anyone notes, I played the mother, and the mother at this time is no longer being played.

It'd probably be skirting the rules a bit, and I'd say it's better not to unless rp heavily pushes you down that particular path.
