Yes, two, Erecia and Rise of Kings.

• What do you think the server will be like?

I think the server is going to have a really fun, great, mature community. Everyone seems quite helpful and happy and nice by what I have seen on the forums, I am hoping it is in-game too, I do have one worry though, which is that this server will go down like the others I've known, where my time-zone is so different to everybody else's, I have to get up really early/stay up really late to roleplay the tiniest bit, but I am ready to try.

 

• Have you read and agreed to the rules?

Yes I have, I thought that although the length (xP) they were very well-thought out and I do agree with them.

 

• What's the rule you agree with most?

Well, in my other experiences, they have never been so strict about sexual roleplay and rape etc. And so they would all be a bit more sexual than I would have liked them to be to my character (Also being younger than them too), so I am happy to embrace these stricter rules.

 

• Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can't do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?

I do understand combat rules, but not about roleplay villains. (Could someone provide me a link to that information?) I don't have any interest in being a villain though.

 

• Are there any rules that confuse you or don't make sense? (If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules)

Well, the rule on 'No escaping PvP by running into no-PvP zones.', just to clarify, can you run into safe zones when endangered by hostile mobs?

 

 

DEFINITIONS

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

• What is roleplaying?

Roleplaying is, as the words says, playing the role of someone or something else. This can mean by online, on a stage, anything!

 

• What is metagaming?

Metagaming is using outside information, inside. It's like hearing someone say in the shoutbox that they are planning an attack against your race, and then going in-game and telling your race leader that so-and-so is going to attack! It gives an unfair advantage and ruins the game for everybody.

 

• What is powergaming?

Also known as godmodding (I think... haven't played RP for awhile), it is not allowing the opponent/s to react or being overly unrealistic. You can't go "I throw a punch at You and you collapse." because you didn't let the other person roleplay their action. Neither can you go "I summon thunder with my unholy scream and lighting hits You." because that would obviously never happen.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure you make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

• What race are they? (and sub-race is applicable)

Human.

(When I looked at the LotC wiki, on the sub-races page it says that there are two main sub-races for humans, but on the humans page it said that humans are no longer divided by sub-race, just culture group. Which one is correct?)

 

• What gender are they?

Female

 

• How old are they?

Rose is 20 years old.

 

• Give us a highlight of their past, what life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing.

Rose was born in Tempum, Thales, and raised by her mother, Eliza Little, from birth. Her father, an explorer, left the family as soon as Rose was born due to an argument about how she was conceived (he was under the assumption that he was not the father). He used to be a warm-hearted, happy man, years ago when her mother had found a way through to his kind heart, but he had turned cold and greedy when he had discovered an ancient tome that he had claimed valuable. Before he had left them, he had taken and sold most of their furniture and belongings, claiming he had bought them in the first place. He left into the wilderness, to explore he had said, and never returned, leaving them with a small, bare cottage and few belongings.

 

Her mother, Eliza, was a quiet, sensitive woman. She was an excellent cook, and spent all day at home cooking, as she often got orders from townsfolk for food. When Rose turned 6, Eliza decided to teach Rose at home. At first she taught Rose English and counting and so on. Then, she taught her sewing, homemaking, basic farming, and of course cooking. She learnt fast and mastered them easily, and at 12 she was already teaching her own mum tips for the perfectly cooked steak, to how to make sure a picture will stay fixed to the wall.

 

At around 14 she was allowed out into the town by herself, and that is when she began doing odd jobs around the town for extra money. Her mother hadn't been earning enough with just food orders, so Rose wanted to pitch in too. She was known as Eliza's little delivery girl, as that was her first job (her mother being older and frailer now.)

 

They lived on a bare minimum, sometimes enjoying a cake bought in town on special occasions, but otherwise they ate their own produce. Rose enjoyed going into town with a pocketful of coins, and looking at all the cakes with her mother, getting to choose one herself. She never once felt ungrateful for what she did have, but sometimes, when she went to bed on an empty stomach, she wished for more than she did.

 

Rose was 19 when her mother died. Even older, frailer, and more forgetful than before, she'd not fully extinguished the fire after cooking, and the cottage caught fire, while her mother had gone to bed early, and Rose had been out on a delivery. Rose had been devastated, and besides the passing of her mother, her home had gone too.

 

Neighbours she'd delivered her mothers' food to took pity on her and offered her food, clothing, and sometimes a place to stay. When everyone was fleeing Thales, she barely got a seat below deck to hide from the monstrous beasts outside. She accepted their gifts with gratefulness, but they could only last so long. Eventually, her stomach became permanently numb with hunger, and she overstayed her welcome. When everyone was fleeing Thales, she was barely allowed on the ship, alive today for the sole reason that an appearing monster distracted the captain. She'd run below deck and hid until they'd arrived in a new realm, Athera. Now she wanders the streets of Petrus, cold and waiting for better things to come.

 

• What are they like? (personality)

Rose is grateful, trustworthy, but cautious. After living in near-poverty, she is easily amazed and would do any job for money. She enjoys spending time in nature, learning about the flora and fauna. She would never commit a crime, though she has been tempted to steal food from the markets.

 

• What are their ambitions?

Rose's main ambitions are to have a steady source of income, after her rough ways of living, and also to have a large family, because she was an only child.

 

• Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses?

Rose is quick to learn and quite intelligent. She is good at cooking, homemaking and farming. Although, she is not very familiar with the world around her, such as economics and politics. She would be useless with any weapon at all, except maybe cooking utensils. She is also quite gullible and a good candidate for trickery to be played on, as she is quite young.

 

• Give us a description of how they look?

Rose has dark brown hair, which is quite long. It is oftentimes a bit dirty. She has beautiful green eyes, and her lips are usually chapped and dry from the cold, windy nights. She has pale skin.

 

She wears a burgundy dress that goes down to her knees, with cream highlights. It has tears and stains here and there, as it was lent to her by a kind townsperson, and it is her only piece of clothing, besides a burgundy bow in her hair that she tore off the bottom of her dress, so she wears it all the time. She also wears dark brown boots, that belonged to her mother for when she would go off to do deliveries, but her mother gave them to Rose when Rose began doing all the deliveries. She has kept them. They are made of good-quality leather, and have barely a dirt stain.
