A new poster was posted over the wedding ones throughout the Temple.

"Me and Syrin are interested in adopting an orphan, whether they be a Human, Elf, any race will do. Toddlers are preferred, though any age will do as well.

Personally I want a Halfling, Human, or a mixed blood Elf to adopt, due to the other races' cultures. I do not want to have an innocent child shunned by their kin for simply living with two High Elves ( Uruk and Kha Cubs ) . If you know of any orphans that would like to be adopted, please write on the papers below.

We truly hope to call a child ours and save them from living on the streets."

Underneath the poster was a packet of papers tied together in what looked like a paper back book.

Isabella snorts. After she's finished correcting every poster she can find to read "Syrin and I" over the original "Me and Syrin", she writes a reply in one of the designated book things.

"I know a thing or two about orphans. You're definitely not going to get a toddler on your first go without impossible luck, unless you're getting into surrogacy which is honestly kind of a waste in this day and age.

What you are going to get is a kid, somewhere around ten to twelve, usually, with a lot of problems. A bad history they're still dealing with after having roughed it alone all these years. And that's okay, but that's what you need to prepare yourself for if you actually want to adopt an orphan.

Orphans are people, not pieces of paper. They're hatchlings, not eggs. To say you'd "prefer an elf or human" is to say, perhaps, to a child that may read this, a child just as homeless and lost as the next ten that will come along, that you don't want them because they aren't quite right.

Also, orc and kha cubs tend to be taken in by their culture, due to its nature. That specification is not necessary.

Adoption is a selfless act of opening your home and your heart. I commend you for considering it. However, if you truly have some qualification as to what makes a homeless child acceptable, take down these notices and find the child yourself. Don't get up an orphan's hopes.

Pinned below it, as an afterthought, is what appears to be a suggestion for a different notice.

"Two recently married monks looking to adopt a child. Come to the Cloud Temple and ask for Alfred or Syrin."
