“Get away from the door!”

“Keep back!”

“We’re trapped!”

“Get that ******* gate open!”

 

Shouts and yell emitted across the room as the battalion scrammered about the rooms. Time was at the essence, and the group were surrounded, the door cut off Iblees’s servants, and the hoard of his creatures of the Nether swarmed around then. They needed an escape, and they needed one now.

 

Amongst the crowds stood a young Hobbit, a descendant of Urguan and Horen both. It was only his right to help defend the kingdom of his Dwarvish cousins in any way he could. Yet now he would pay dearly, he knew. There was no time left, and the holdfast of Urguan’s descendants could not withstand the strikes of lightning raining down from above. It seeked through the stone cracks, and fell down hard on the Halfling, as he’d slump down onto the floor, his body going limp. “POSCO!” a shout would sound out from ahead. Posco’s dear big’un friend and comrade, Aepholis rushed over toward him, taking hold on his body as all went black…

Posco the Brave had fallen...

Fumble grumbles as smoke rises in the distance, praying that no halflings were caught amidst the battle... dark days were coming.
